Happy Easter everyone. I'm at my roommate's aunt's house. We'll have a largely Greek Orthodox Easter, though my roommate's mom and this particular sister both married Italians. I already got full on homemade pizza from one of the Italian grandmothers.IP: Logged |

My egg was victorious! A year of good luck for me. They do this egg breaking competition every year. You do heads to heads, and butts to butts. My egg's butt beat all challengers. IP: Logged |

Yay! MVM, to answer your question about the Nodes, I just checked and transitting NN is still conjunct my natal NN in Capricorn. I'm kind of surprised it doesn't move faster since it's linked to the Moon. IP: Logged |

I needed that egg butt comment... LOL. Thanks! Boss is back from vacay and driving me crazy. Thank goodness I am a multitasker. I could end up institutionalized. Weird, one of my attorney's got divorced a few months ago and didn't tell anyone. IP: Logged |

Very. He got married at 21. They have a 2 year old and I guess are still living together until the election. (He's the senator) So sad! And odd... I just hope I haven't made any "oh, your wife, blah blah" comments of late. I have a tendency to talk to people at work like we're all best mates. OOps

Maybe it's not so strange if he hold elected office. He's probably paranoid that it would be bad politically.Did you have a nice Easter? IP: Logged |

I think that's what it's about. I'm usually much better at picking up on these things. I had a great Easter, thanks! It was a break for me in a way because I have 5 girl cousins ages 12-17 that basically took over and played with L all day. Ahhh... Mama got to sit and converse with adults! Although I ended up frustrated b/c my overbearing Leo aunt was on a rip about what I should be doing with my life and I just wanted to curl up and cry. ARgh. Whatcha gonna do? They're family.. And wine doesn't help them back off if you know what I mean. Loud Irish family. Gotta love it. Erm, sometimes... I end up hanging out with my Uncles most of the time and talking about music... The more I reflect on life advice, the more I think it's moot. We all have to go our own way ultimately. On the other hand, I do sometimes wonder where other people might imagine me, what they might see me doing. IP: Logged |

I appreciate her caring for me, but she seems to think that I should be either A.) working my full time job and going to school AT LEAST part time or B.) working my full time job and taking my weekends to do massage therapy for extra money. Okay. So she seems to forget that I drop my daughter off at 8am and don't see her again until after 5pm and that my nights are spent preparing her dinner, playing with her, bathing her, keeping the house tidy with dishes and laundry on a daily basis. My weekends are the only REAL time I get to spend with L. So, exactly when does she think I should actually SEE my child? My mother kindly reminded me that this aunt has not worked a full time job in almost 20 years and didn't work AT ALL until her kids were in grade school. Oh, how quickly we forget... I have every intention of figuring out a different career path at some point, but right now, my days consists of keeping my child alive and my head above water. On a side note, I see you as a radio d.j. Not sure what your voice really sounds like, but if you articulate like you write, you would be good at it. IMPO. IP: Logged |

I was a bit of a mumbler growing up, so said my older Aries sister. I do enjoy staying fairly low key, never wanting to be seen as a loud person, but I think I've probably evolved enough to be clear enough. I don't hear any complaints these days, not even with my improv and theater friends.IP: Logged |

Hi,I'm on my bick easterbrack from the office. Just poored myself a drink, some coca cola with little liquor. I'm just doing a little reminiscing and thinking. All kind of thoughts run to my head. When I was 16 I went with my leo mom and her cancer ex-boyfrind (not my dad) on a holiday to California. The first day we were staying in a motel near L.A. That night there was an earthquake. I remember my mom thinking we had massage bed, buth then everthing was shacking. It was scary. And than when i was 25, i went to New York to visit a pisces dutch writer who's living there. The things I've learnt from that and what I learnt last year. I'm happy with my job I have at the office at the moment. IP: Logged |

Pandora's playing Obsession by Animotion. I used to love dancing to that song. One of the rare male/female duets in the 80's that worked.IP: Logged |

Two weeks ago I went to a club, where they only play 80's and 90's music. I didn't hear this one, to bad. Just ones in a while I love to dance. Not serious dancing, buth just to relax and have fun.IP: Logged |

Hello everyone - Happy Easter! We have a mountain of chocolate Easter eggs in the house. My daughter isn't fussed on chocolate, whereas I LOVE it. Glad I'm out of the house for the next few days. I'm doing well AG, but doubting my ability to hit target. Off on my travels again tomorrow, but think I might be coming down with a cold. That'll be nice! We tried to make some rice crispie cakes today. Apparently the easiest thing in the world to make. The staple of any good mother. I think I burned the chocolate. They were a disaster. AG - your Easter sounded fun. IP: Logged |

Where are you traveling to now? Your California/Nevada adventure sounds fun, but you're right that it will cost a bit to do everything...even with our weak dollar. Have you driven on the right hand side before? IP: Logged |

Same place as last week - but on a course, rather than office work. The hotel is really nice, I was just looking at their spa treatments as I will arrive early tomorrow afternoon and have no intention of going into the office. Think I might treat myself.Yeah - it's an ace trip, and I love organising things like that on a budget. The main thing holding me back is the age of my daughter. She's not yet old enough to look out for herself, so to do that kind of trip on our own might be a little irresponsible. I drove on the right for the first time last year. My ex had always done the Europe driving, but I love the freedom of driving holidays so I forced myself to get a hire car in Spain last year. I was fine after a few days (and very proud of myself!). Going to the spa would be nice. I like that idea. How old is your daughter, and what sign? Driving on the left seems like it would be so difficult to adapt to. IP: Logged |

She is 8, and a Capricorn (can't get away from them ). She has five planets and 3 zodiac signs in her First House - what is the significance of that?Driving on the 'wrong' side of the road is weird - cos it goes against a lot of responses in your brain that have become automatic. I kept smacking my hand on the door everytime I needed a gear change. IP: Logged |

The size of her first house suggests she was born in a fairly Northern place. Houses are typically smaller than that. Might want to try a whole house system, or Koch in order to get her houses back down to size. Whole house works for a lot of people, and it's an ancient house system.Planets in the first are attached to the personality, so their influence should be more obvious. I can believe that about smacking your hand on the door. For us right-handed Americans, it must be quite foreign trying to shift with our left hands. I guess your daughter is kind of young. You'll have to find another adult that coincidentally wants to do the same trip or something. It would be great for her to go to Disneyland. The time change would be a nightmare for her. IP: Logged |

I did not receive any Peeps for Easter. They were sold out. That is truly disturbing, as peeps are my favorite. I stayed home alone for Easter. I don't do holidays anymore, since estranged from Cap, it feels to weird to be around his family, and my family is completely disfunctional. I was thinking about music... You know how there are; good singers, I mean, decent in that they can carry a tune, but really it's the band that makes it all come together. Then there are excellent singers; they just have incredible voices, tone/pitch, whatever you'd like to call it. You can listen to them in any band, or even solo. And finally, there are singers who are just otherwordly, the kind that give you chills and amaze you with not only their range, but their ability to harmonize, change up style, etc. etc.. I was kind of wondering what you guys think of this, and who you put into those catergories. *Ps. Ag, I thought of you in the shower today, yes, I realize how that sounds, but, whenever I think of someone randomly in the shower, something usually happens to them soon after. I think something really good is coming up for you soon. IP: Logged |

Hello - all has been quiet on the Gypsee front for a while - I hope you are not suffering too badly .I agree. I think my current fave's fall as follows: 1) Snowpatrol - I love his voice, but I think it is framed by the band, and I don't think I would enjoy listening to him on his own. 2) Current hotties - Mumford and Sons - I think I would like him just as well without the backing 3) James Morrison - I can imagine him lying in bed next to me, sending me to sleep with his velvety voice. I am glad to hear something good is going to happen to our lovely AG xxx IP: Logged |

That would be awesome! Hope so!I can understand the urge not to do holidays. Often they are overblown, and really only redeemed by hanging out with a family (if you have a decent one to hang out with). I'm so glad they don't go to church for Easter. I'm not sure I'd be up for that. It's great to spend holidays with a family that's not your own. You're a guest so you can get away with more. Like when I spent Thanksgiving with my roommate's family there was a family member that the whole family didn't like coming, so when that aunt called for directions I was able to joke about misdirecting her without anyone thinking I was being inappropriate or anything. My roommate's cousins wouldn't be so bold. I also followed my roommate's dad's instructions, and let him know when I saw her head down the hall towards their room. Apparently, she used to be a theif. I find it fun to be with other people's families. Regarding singers, the more I think on it, the more I have to say. And very few singers get to front a truly varied band like Led Zepplin. A lot of them get kind of stuck in their genre. Some stand out singers for me: For their voice alone: Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode K. D. Lang David Bowie Harriet Wheeler of The Sundays For Passion: Sinead O'Connor Eddie Vedder Bono Chris Cornell For writing and a decent voice: Morrissey Guy Garvey I know I'm forgetting some. Gyps,Apparently my roommate's aunt also likes stale Peeps. She said something about never eating them until four weeks after Easter, so she always assumed that they were always hard. IP: Logged |
