Hi,I've been having some hard times. An astrologer told me that the rough patch will end and things will get much easier after Saturn leaves my 12th house and crosses my Ascendent--things will be better in 2018/2019. This is the online diary where I'll be brainstorming ideas for survival, expressing my gratitude toward the infinite beauty of the universe, and thinking about Sagittarius 12th House things, meditation, astrology, psychosis, dreams.....Feel free to read and post! I was reading an old kundalini yoga book, Sexuality and Spirituality by Gururattan Kaur Khalsa. In it, there's a meditation that supposedly gets rid of bad astrological transits: IP: Logged |

It's a beautiful and interesting idea--that I don't really believe--that we can do all kinds of elaborate practices to fulfill ourselves completely in life--affirmations, meditations with our arms held a certain way, chants and spells and incantations. They work sometimes for a while. They help us manipulate energy. But ultimately, there are still all kinds of things we can't control.I intend to use this online diary for practices that will bring my energy and vibes up--but right now, i'm just buckled under with negativity and exhaustion. And maybe there are times and places in life where that's right, where that connects us to the fuller measure of human experience. All of the self-improvement exercises I'm supposed to do just feel exhausting. There's the idea that a 12th house Saturn transit is like being cocooned, only to burst into a butterfly as Saturn crosses the AC and goes into the first house. And if a caterpillar tries to burst out of the coccoon too early, it isn't a butterfly yet. The time in the coccoon is as necessary as the space of the coccoon. IP: Logged |

I'm just starting to read about Vedic astrology---it reminds me of when I first discovered Linda Goodman's books and I was first reading about Western astrology. I was a teenager and it was pre-Internet, or at least before everyone was online all the time. I would painstakingly calculate my synastry with people manually from an ephemeris, then look up the different cookbook descriptions of signs/planets/aspects. I guess you have to look up cookbook definitions to start to get a feel for all of the energies in the chart as a whole, but it's important to take a break and get a reality check. I wish I'd spent all the time I've spent learning about Western astrology studying a language, or learning astronomy....but it just doesn't happen as naturally. But maybe it's the wrong direction for me, too much leaning into my 6th house Gemini SN, analyzing and itemizing the little details to try to understand people, when what I should be doing is hurling myself with blind abandon into the trippy infinity of the bigger universe (12th house Sag NN?).....maybe I should be letting go of categories and preconceptions instead of clinging to them. Yes--it is wonderful! Thequeen gave me a beautiful reading today on that Vedic forum. She said I have a "very strong chart"--in Vedic, I suspect that's no small thing. She made it sound like I could accomplish what I set my mind to.IP: Logged |

Here's thequeen's reading for me from the Vedic forum: "Lucia: You asked me if you would get married. It appears if marriage arrives at the doorstep of your life it will do at a later age, which reminds me take your dob details off the thread.
You will marry a very commited partner at the same time he may come of as bossy, lets say he will be of a Saturn conjunct Moon disposition. The quality of partners you tend to attract or prefer are very responsible in disposition. Your life partner will be super organised, carrying the saturn kind of personality. He will be rich and in some sort of business. Although as i am also learning when will you get married is a little hard for me to tell. Your money inflow is a little disruptive given Uranus in your eleventh house. however, foreign communication, writing, technology, electronics may get you money. Having said that you have a very powerful personality and you can make the tables turn if you go full flegedly at doing something. Business suits you the most, as does working in partnership. Happiness is in your hands even now, you just have to not let Saturn overrule you. Meditate everyday and ask for support and forgiveness. Avoid pessimism and caress the well being God sends our way. better said than done, i know easy to preach, but honestly you have a very strong chart, you can do anything you determine yourself about. All the best." I feel like Vedic often pulls punches less than contemporary Western astrology, at least the kind of holistic astrology I use and pay attention to---so I am thrilled to have a Vedic astrologer say I have a strong personality and strong chart.

I like this: http://astro-awakenings.co.uk/current-trends-july-september-2016 I didn't realize that the next eclipse season starts as early as August 18. I was thinking about how transformed my life has been--I guess it's true that i'm not destroyed. At the same time, I haven't built something new and powerful and beautiful yet. I hope i'm still capable of that. Imagine if I KNEW for certain that in the future (which will be the present soon). I would have everything I most want. Then I would probably be much happier and more powerful in the present. IP: Logged |
