Got a perfect score (200 points) on the PPT, and a lot of praise from the professor--an A in the class, and all A's for the semester. I could have gotten extra points on the PPT if I added a voiceover, but I didn't try.IP: Logged |

Voice overs are the death of all life, whenever I do some I end up wanting to beat myself to death for the below average quality of my English Congrats on the impossibly successful run, so impressive it's surreal IP: Logged |

You silly muffin, it's literally one click in the slideshow section, not that I have explored everything you can do with powerpoint, but this one fell on my lap way before I had satisfied my most basic curiosity 😝IP: Logged |

Sure, but the score is nothing. You work to learn, to improve your craft, explore more thinking patterns, especially as a lawyer where nothing is ever finished, always a new case, a new angle... The score gets you the degree, the title... it's useful; but the work is what gets you the competence, the craft, and, well, no need to draw a picture about why those appeal more than anything to my Virgo heart IP: Logged |

Common sense is common, it’s in the name for a reason, what’s not so common is acting on it. Of course, these days, people prefer ignoring the fact freedom isn’t an absolute and rather a spectrum within limits, just so they can claim selfish fancies under the guise of needs and rights to be free regardless of the fact these unnecessary desires are seriously infringing the most basic freedom of others. Common sense isn’t lost or rare, people just chicken out before the reality check it implies for them. People want to feed themselves with steak instead of nurturing humanity by keeping themselves and others safe. It’s not a lack of common sense, it’s a refusal of it. It’s weakness, and cowardice. Sometimes stupidity, but I sincerely don’t think that’s the majority, which makes it way tougher.

couldn't care less about being right or wrong. you're welcome (though it was a snippet of an explanation rather than a breakdown...). doesn't matter anyway, the majority wins, things reopen, more people will die and in a 100 years common sense will be a tale of the past, the forgotten logic of a lost faculty. At least you've got studying to still train and apply yours, treasure that.

We are watching the southern hemisphere closely, and so far, there hasn't been a second wave, so we may not see this during winter flu season.IP: Logged |
