Thanks for the moral support evander! Peri, Uranus will transit through my 8th House starting April 2009 until 2016. As it moves through it will make the following aspects to my natal planets. Roughly in this order I think...
(Have you had this Uranus transit before?) tUranus sextile Mercury

tUranus sextile Sun
tUranus quincunx Saturn

no i did not have this transit before but seems like there might be positive changes in your career since Uranus rules your six house and makes aspects to Sun, Moon, Merc in the 10th; it is also possible that you will get some insights about your Self, your fears and taboos that hinder your growth; probably you will find a new job that will have something to do with the 8th house? e.g. in the financial sector ... and I am also thinking that good inheritance and/or unexpected gifts are possibleIP: Logged |

Thanks so much Peri! There may be some lay offs happening at work. Losing my job will definitely lead me to what you said about a change career wise!  And I'll definitely need that inheritence then, but then again inheritence is associated with someone dying, so maybe that wouldn't be such a good thing after all. Thanks for your insight! Predictive Astrology, The Eagle and the Lark by Bernadette Brady ah you should read this book, it explains how to read transits (taking into account not just planets and aspects involved but also house rulerships, natal and transit house positions of the planets in aspect) it's an outstanding book! When Uranus was in my 8th, I was age 2.
So this went from 1 and a half to 8 and a half.I travelled to many European countries
[Jupiter trined 9th House Neptune too] My brothers were born My religious circumcision was done
[Uranus opp Venus] Financial Debt to dad when Uranus quincunx Mars. Left my country of birth when Uranus touched 9th House cusp. ------------------

ok ok i'm a leo rising... lemme seebeware any conjunctions and oppositions and squares it might make.. when it conjoined my pisces sun in the 8th [which is natally square uranus] so i had simultaneous uranus sq.uranus, uranus conj. sun, uranus through the 8th -- i met a young man who was attending the same college as i, on the spur of the moment decided he was the one [we were to be married], packed up and travelled to a foreign country across the ocean i had never visited [where he was from, a foreigner], stayed with him and his parents whom i had never met.. etc. how could it get more bizarre. and then it ended all of a sudden. of course! had umpteen VERY REAL AND IN NO WAY IMAGINED contact with the supernatural forces. before this time i was skeptical, even with astrology i never really believed until i saw that it made sense to me. so with ghosts, with esp [telepathy in the extreme], intense chakra energy, etc. i would have to have experience until i believed. now i believe so you can tell what kinds of experiences i've had! spirits touching me, one talked to me and saved me from being in an accident [probably from death], moving things around in my home, the list goes on. and they were of course unexpected. uranus. shared money....let's see here. watch your finances! that's all i'll say. watch your spending, make independent informed decisions. plan and save, don't throw it all to the wolves cos you might find yourself with all of a sudden nothing left. be wary of partners/potential partners and their intent with you regarding dishonesty in the way they seem concerned with your money - you may end up footing a lot of bills. also of course unexpected inheritances.. i'm trying to think of anything else that would apply - the above seemed to be the most obvious to share. with uranus it's tough cos that energy makes you stubborn and no way no how no one will anyone tell you different. you may think you'll act logically and carefully under certain set of circumstances, but when it hits i will tell you - it is very difficult to keep that calm in control mind! Uranus has been moving through my 8th hs for a couple of years. Natally it's in the 4th and rules the 7th.
Can't say anything regarding psychological effects but actionwise I do have to deal with inheritance issues related to my home, I also have troubles with non-fulfillment of contractual obligations (I guess this has to do with Uranus being the ruler of the 7th). What else? I started studying astrology with Uranus in the 8th. As for aspects, I moved unexpectedly when Uranus made a conjunction to my Moon in the 8th but that hardly counts as I moved quite a lot over the last years  And I finally made a decision to relocate away from my country when Uranus trined Uranus.

IQhunk, Arnicka, Marina, thanks so much for your input! It looks like all 3 of you had some kind of move, or travel during this transit! I will definitely try to be careful with my finances. I'm usually a mess with this, so I need to get myself organized! Maybe some kind of trouble with shared finances/non-fulfillment of contractual agreements...I see this one coming. I know at some point there will be some type of battle with my ex-husband regarding paying my daughter's child support. He's always trying to weasel out of it, or decrease it in some way every year. What a selfish pr*ck. Anyways, sorry for the getting off track there! LOL! Arnicka, I'm scared of ghosts! Terrified actually! I think I would check myself into a mental hospital if I saw one, cause I wouldn't be able to mentally handle it. LOL. I'll let you know if I see any!! IP: Logged |

nooo i've never seen one actually, it might spook me too. only ever been touched by one, on my shoulder not too bad and there were warning signs [electricity malfunctions, lightbulbs shattering] and then heard one talk to me [altho that one may have been a guardian angel type not too sure]. but its not so bad, just don't invite the bad spirits and it'll be ok IP: Logged |

tUranus is in my 8th house. Soon it will square my natal Uranus exact, then it will square Neptune, the Sun, Chiron, Saturn and the NN. At the end it will oppose my Moon. What each of these aspects might bring?------------------

I have it now. I now have a complete cardinal cross. All my planets are in cardinal signs except Neptune. Things have been very uprooting, confusing and transforming.
In 2 years tPluto will be EXACT conj on my Sun and I expect things to get even more confusing lolOh. Mars in in a mutable sign. Oops IP: Logged |

And meeting him... well, changed my whole life. I mean, career, social life, public status, etc, etc.
But Uranus is still there, in 8th. It will eventually oppose my Mercury, Venus and Sun, as well as trine Moon, Jupiter and sextile Mars, square Neptune and square Saturn.
