my bf and i have this aspect. sun conjunct venus at 1 degree. i am the sun he is the venus. i knew the minute he saw me that he was attracted to me physically. all his adoration/staring made my sun happy so i approached him and we started talking one day. he is not typically my type at all (shorter, much older, different ethnicity), but his personality drew me in and the attraction grew. i think this aspect is helpful when the male is venus and the female sun because there is no question that they like you and want to be around you. i also think it forms a tighter bond than some of the other aspects you might have - this seems pretty powerful to me in terms of keeping us liking each other and happy looking at one another.

I've experienced this conjunction and no it's not physical attraction. It's attraction but not in your face like Venus/Mars.

I am the Venus person and I attract Sun in Scorpios. And its usually them who want something romantic. I am not moved.

I do find that I am drawn to Sun in Libra sexually though. And my Mars is in Libra.

I think its physical attraction if on both ends i.e Venus/Sun double whammy perhaps?

In my case, I can see how there would be a magnetic quality. I get along with almost every Cancer I come across. However, I have this aspect in natal as well while also conjuncting my South Node and IC. That means I would have to date someone born around my birthday. I don't think this aspect would be good for growth since it would keep me in my comfort zone and not challenge me. I can see it being a good aspect for others though.

What about a Venus - Sun sextile in synastry? Venus in Libra and Sun in Leo. Would this be felt in the same way? But more subtle?

I actually noticed that Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have this. Her sun-venus conjunction is conjunct his sun. Very cute!
