Thank you I couldn't get the calc to work either but did the comp calc as you suggested and used another person's info too who mentioned Chinese Astrology on another thread, and his info did not come up the same. I got the thread he got his info from and here is that link: http://www.fortuneangel.com On the above link my info is as follows: Year - Metal Pig Month - Fire Chicken Day - Fire Dragon (a RED Fire Dragon oooo) Hour - I don't know how to do the hour yet On the first link posted here (chinese.astrology.com) it said: Pig Rooster Dragon so I am guessing chicken and rooster are the same but according to him from his site (fortune angel) his info is: Horse Dog Monkey and on that site (chinese.astrology.com) it comes up as: Horse Pig Monkey So, I guess we need a third link? hehe

Here is a very cool chinese astro calculator. Keep scrolling down because it will still be talking about you - its a fully generated horoscope, I think. I didn't read mine in depth - it was doing my head in, because it dawned on me that I really needed to study and think rather than my usual browsing approach. It only has northern hemisphere calculations at this stage so yeah I wasn't sure if mine was totally valid anyhow.I guess you could cross reference with some of the more generic descriptions in some of the other sites posted. http://www.hall-of-man.com/horoscope_indata.asp IP: Logged |

Water Rooster, here. That's equivalent to Virgo. Then, I'm a Boar hour, obviously, Scorpio ascendant. I haven't heard of months and days, but I imagine Rabbit month, being Pisces. I didn't try any of the links, I just borrowed a book before. Perhaps Dog day, because Libra moon?IP: Logged |

thank you, Azalaksh!yes, the skillet was out, and someone was flipping people in and out, giving them two minutes a side and then tossing them on a huge plate - I think I just escaped the pan but I was certainly on the spatula as the powers that be held me over the super hot teflon coating(no oil required). I could feel my rump starting to toast and I wasn't sure if I was going to be eaten semi-raw or cooked and gnawed on later. Anyhow, god knows how it happened but I was carefully slid down onto the bench between the salt n pepper shakers and the half eaten Krispy Kreme donut then I was given a half an hour long lecture on how to tie my shoes and comb my hair properly - and then mercifully allowed to leave with a warning and a bit of a shove. Sweat was pouring off me - and I hardly even turned back. I did sneak one backward glance in though and I saw the giant drink a gallon of water then lock himself into some handcuffs while he started to recite the rosary in Japanese. IP: Logged |

I'm too lazy to research this now but I'll be back. Thank you for the informaaaation. And I cannot reveal my "hour"... she said mysteriously... but I will reveal that I was playing the part of the half-eaten Krispy Kreme donut. And who on earth would not finish a Krispy Kreme donut? Tasty sweet fattening comfort food. What's not to like? I'm kidding. I just wanted to be a donut. I'm hungry. bye!

Monkeys are fun and loving persons who are always cheerful and energetic. They are very clever. Give a monkey a boring book to read and he'll turn it into a Musical. Better yet, he'll invite everyone to see it free! That's how talented, creative and generous monkeys usually are. If you go to a party, you'll find Monkeys at the center of attention. Their charm and humor is the key to their popularity. Sociable and diplomatic as they may appear, they can be deceptive sometimes - they hide their opinions of others beneath their friendliness. But they don't hide their emotion. You can probably tell how a monkey is feeling from miles away - he wants everyone to know how happy or depressed he is. Monkey people are very good at problem-solving. Wherever you are, whoever you may be, if you've got a problem pick up the phone and dial-a-Monkey. Monkeys know how to listen closely and work out solutions at the same time. And because Monkeys' curiosity, they usually have a great thirst for knowledge. Still they have few scruples - they could be unreasonable sometimes, and they have the ability to persuade themselves and everyone around them to believe that they are doing the right things. Some say monkeys are self-centered, some say they are opportunistic, some say they are guileful, but monkeys couldn't care less - because they are also indifferent. The monkey has a good chance of becoming famous or well-known. Whatever he does, his charm and luck will make him successful. As friends, Monkeys are both loyal and devoted, as lovers, they can be passionate and yet flighty - they can fall easily in love but will get tired of the relationship and look for another. Most Monkeys have one fetish - FOOD. They are not pigs, they don't stuff themselves with food, instead, they just have this habit of eating snacks whenever they like, and wherever they like. And one last truth about monkey people is, they adore bananas. Go visit your monkey friend's kitchen, I bet you will find some bananas there. Compatibility (1 - least compatible, 10 - most compatible) with Rat 9 - A fun and loving relationship Ox 8 - Nice - they are compatible and stable Tiger 3 - Better stay away from each other Rabbit 7 - Amusing relationship Dragon 8 - This might work, they admire each other Snake 5 - Perhaps - it depends on the Monkey Horse 6 - Difficult, but there's still a small chance it could work Sheep 7 - Oh well why not Monkey 8 - Great companions and total complicity Rooster 7 - Probably - you never know Dog 6 - With reservation - the Dog might suffer Pig 6 - Not a balanced relationship Celebrities Edgar Faure, Julius Caesar, Leonardo da Vinci, Gugin, Byron, Alexander Dumas, Captain Cook, Paderewski, Elizabeth Taylor Next Sign - Rooster IP: Logged |

i noticed your monkey writeup in MM's other thread, HSC, and your conclusion that it basically fit you - so being a horse, are you saying you don't identify with your "horseness"?my own experience of monkeys is far from "always bright and cheerful" since my closest monkey friend was a manic-depressive who self-medicated with liquor and cocaine and was a fearsome go-for-the-jugular opponent unmatched by ANY here on LL. i had to save her life 3 times, so cheerful and upbeat was she. and nearly lost my own a couple of times she decided i was her "problem". for all that she WAS very talented, smart, loving and energetic. just a bit twisted!!!!(understatement of the year). she had a scorp moon, by the way... the piece that is missing (from my faulty memory) in that writeup is "above all the monkey is ALWAYS RIGHT IN HIS MIND" and usually in the game for his own ends. tricky to the point of deceptive, sometimes they get so lost in the "game" that they forget others have feelings or needs of their own.... Yeah, don't you love it when astrology compliments you..."Force and power are the symbols attributed to the Dragon. There is a decidedly exotic air about Dragon people, especially among the women, who fairly exude sexuality. Indeed, whether male or female, Dragons are libidinous and score quite a hit with the opposite sex. To the Chinese, the Dragon is born in the most desirable year. Possessing magical powers, the versatile Dragon is capable of soaring to the highest heavenly heights or diving to the depths of the sea. On one hand shrewd, healthy and full of vitality, the Dragon also possesses a mystical side, intuitive, artistic and strangely lucky. However, Dragons can plunge pretty low, becoming irritable, stubborn and impetuous. The Dragon's mystical allure may become a bit too other worldly, making him or her difficult to get close to. A Dragon's unsatisfactory love life may lead to a string of loves and marriages. Believing themselves invincible, Dragons must beware of excesses, for with their uncommon strength, they can harm themselves, or "scorch their wings." Flexible and accommodating, they fit in with whatever is going on around them -- but for only as long as it suits them. This is because they are self-determined types and don't take kindly to being dominated by others. Although seemingly affable and agreeable, they can be as ferocious and dangerous as the mythical beast on whom the sign is based. Temperamentally, Dragons are somewhat hot-headed and quick-tempered; when angered they will give as good as they get. Dragons can also be hypocritical if things are not quite right or not up to their expectations. Dragons are idealists and perfectionists; they demand a lot and they give a lot. Enthusiastic to the point of impetuousity, Dragons have big mouths. Their words overrun their thoughts, and their hearts run away with their heads. Intellectually, they are clever, bright, sharp people, yet on occasion they will throw all logic to the wind and follow their hunches. Fortunately for them, they are strong on intuition and invariably all works out well. In a confrontation, Dragons have a tendency to misjudge the situation, and are not too adept at extricating themselves from difficulties. Interestingly, no matter what surprises Fate may have in store, whatever difficulties or hardships these people may encounter along the road, Dragons will always ultimately land on their feet. They will be a success wherever they go, regardless of their chosen careers. Dragons may devote themselves to a great cause or work, and if so, they will see it through to the end. This talent work two ways, as they can be equally devoted to a bad cause and equally successful in it. Dragons can't help but win! This is undoubtedly due to the fact that of all the Chinese signs, those born under the influence of the Dragon are considered the luckiest of all and good fortune simply follows them wherever they go. Not only that, they also have the Midas touch. It is said that the Year of the Dragon is good for business and all money-making schemes. Consequently, those born in this year have an inherent knack for attracting money and they generally enjoy financial prosperity. The Chinese say that the Dragon leaves wealth and prosperity in his path. Hence, the Dragon leads the street processions during Chinese New Year. The Dragon brings the Four Benedictions of the East -- wealth, virtue, harmony, and long life." http://www.metaphysicalzone.com/china/dragon.shtml Thanks for the link, Zala. and the added bit for FIRE dragon: "Righteous, outgoing and competitive, he expects a lot from everyone. Fortunately, his enormous energy allows him of offer much in return, although dictatorial tendencies and overzealousness may make people fear or avoid him. He is open and humane, given to impartiality and objectivity. He is also insatiably ambitious, short-tempered, inconsiderate and unable to put up with anything less than perfect." Whooooo meee? I think I do ok considering...

yes there was a time i so wanted to be a dragon i just told people i was so they would see me that way!! then i decided i was okay as i actually was...but some of my favourite people throughout life have been dragons, including two of my sisters. i have to say though, that the libido part applies to one of them (sisters) but NOT to the other. they are both VERY strong, though one feigns weakness (probably her cancer asc) and victimhood.what i love about dragons most is that they will head full tilt at whatever they are striving for, to the point of destruction if necessary, then pick themselves up and rise again just like their mascot, the phoenix.
