there is a lot of conflicting information, not to disregard lara's, but the first time i heard of indigo's was when someone was telling me i was probably an early one. so one theory is they are NOT just of the latest generations...i know a lot of people (my daughter's generation) with VERY tight chart's and learning "disabilities", early 80s folk. dunno if they resemble the description in any other way. my daughter also resembles most of the descriptions but her chart is dominated by two grand trines and a t-square which connects to one of them... just adding a little data! * Curiously, indigochild.com says: "just in case you heard otherwise from other "indigo" sources, the designated word "Indigo" has nothing to do with the color of an aura! It is the result of scientific observations by a woman who has synesthesia."IP: Logged |

Well, that's strange. Why only people born in the 80's? How come not earlier? This is kind of the reason why I shy away from stuff like this. I certainly don't want to discount any of it, it's just the vagueness makes me wonder. IP: Logged |

My mother says "you were meowing at that time."Again, I'm saying you're not an authority on these matters. You wont see anything good in me Because you're so prejudiced. Iqhunk is sure that I'm a Leo rising, btw. Please, stay away from my thread.

I have been told that Indigos have been around for hundreds of years. More have been born in the last 40 years, but theyre nothing new.The older crew are known as Indigo scouts...... I have been told I am an indigo because of the colour of my aura & personality but I don't want the label...all this Crystal, Indigo, Star-Child, walk-in stuff leaves me a bit uneasy - too many labels, too much categorizing..... If your in the UK & want to know more, go & see Tracy Ash at Violet hill studios, she's an authority on the subject. She gives amazing reading too. IP: Logged |

i don't feel qualified to talk about indigos, though like i said one theory includes people from MUCH earlier.as to talking early or late, my leo asc daughter was talking in her second year and MEMORIZING books whole at 3! we all thought she was reading. though she read at an early age she also went off it in a big way in her late teens. i have no idea if she is an indigo or not. can i ask what difference it makes? are they supposed to be here for a purpose? or are they just the vanguard of a new kind of human?? I am working on Indigo astrological charts right now. There are 4 Indigo children in an astrological article that I looked at. I did posts on them in Evolutionary Astrology forum, but I lost them because the site went down. Therefore,I am re-doing them, and I will post at my Neurodivergence of Astrology tribe and here in Lindaland. I am looking at the outer planet influences including direct midpoints as well as looking at the kuiper belt objects which include Pluto. Because I don't count Pluto as a regular planet, I am using small orbs with it like the other kuiper belt objects. Also,I am not using Pluto with the midpoints. logically, if I use Pluto with the midpoints, then I might as well as use the other kuiper belt objects with the midpoints. I think a can of worms was opened with the discovery of the kuiper belt in 1992. My studies of the kuiper belt objects have changed my way of thinking about Astrology and about Pluto. I do believe that Pluto has a significant astrological influence, but I believe that the other kuiper belt objects do too...especially the larger Eris and the other dwarf planets, Makemake and Haumea. I found the kuiper belt objects to fill in the blanks in my own chart/life and those are much stronger than Pluto in my chart. I wrote about that in my post, "Pluto is not THE transformer in my life" which was not about discounting Pluto's influence but expressing my view that the other kuiper belt objects are no joke either and that they were in more significant transits to my chart than Pluto was. 1978 is the same year that ADHD was officially recognized in adults. It was also the same year that the first of the discovered centaurs,Chiron was discovered. I was in special education from 1977 to 1980. I was placed with the mentally retarded in special education class in 1st grade from 1977 to 1978. I was in a special education class for children with learning differences in 1978 to 1979. I was mainstreamed in a regular classroom but returned to the special education classroom for phonics training in 1979 to 1980.
Transiting Chiron-Sedna in Taurus in my 8th was in opposition to my Sun in Scorpio in 2nd/3rd and transiting Neptune in Sagittarius my 4th was squaring my Virgo Ascendant when I was misplaced with the mentally retarded. Raymond

And to put my two cents into this mired discussion...I think that much like Raymond, Indigo/Crystal, etc. has to do with having very strong outer planets or Kuiper belt objects. Every chart that I have seen of "atypical" people (i.e. I'm too sensitive, different, weird, 'neurodivergent'(I can't stand that term.)) has had an overly strong emphasis on Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, with Ixion, Sedna, or Eris being strongly aspected to the outer planets. These aspects never fail to turn up those people on the edges of society; those strongly interested in all types of metaphysics seem to turn up at the drop of a hat. Let's take myself for example (again damn those 5 1st house planets): You already know that my Pluto is very strong, but the objects that Raymond mentioned (Ixion, Eris, Makemake, and Haumea)strongly aspect my outer planets: Ixion Conjunct Moon/Venus 1 degree Square Mars 3 degrees Opposite Chiron 1 degree Eris Trine Neptune/Mars 1 degree Opposite Pluto 2 degrees Makemake Trine Saturn 1 degree Opposite Mercury/Uranus 0 degrees Haumea Sextile Neptune 1 degree Square Mercury/Uranus 1 degree Trine Pluto 0 degrees. In terms of different systems of personality profiling, I turn up as an INFJ, enneagram 4w5, and all those other atypical or rare personalities....

Not that I deliberately want to argue but there's been a misconception and generalisation about INFJ being a 'rare' personality. It's more of a model-type and sample sizes aren't large nor varied enough to accurately account for 'the population' in general. And which population anyway? A lot of statistics are actually made up for the MBTI types. I find www.infj.com a very good resource site for not only INFJ but other personality types. We are all star children, aren't we all children of the stars? IP: Logged |

What is an indigo child, or a crystal child? What makes them stand out from society, Why are there such classifications, what lets you declare someone is either?IP: Logged |
