I noticed more and more knowflakes are interested in solar return charts, the best way to learn predictive astrology is to start analysing what has already happened, so this is my solar return chart for 2002, lots of things happened that year so I am curious what you could see there, of course I will disclose the info later. Feel free to add your own case studies, I'd love to try and read them! please include eventful years only IP: Logged |

Your natal chart is somewhat similar with mine. I also have a Moon-Neptune conjunction in the 11th house, they were recently conjuncted by Pluto and I see you went through this in 2002. Well, judging from my personal ordeal, no wonder you consider it eventful!Okay, so you probably went through some of this stuff: -drastic change of personal look (Uranus in the 1st house of the SR, also at the end of its transit in your 1st) -change of job (Uranus conjunct Moon, ruler of your 6th in SR; Pluto in the 10th house of the SR) -bet my money you fell in love BIG TIME with Jupiter in the 5th house of the SR and that Pluto on your Moon (ruler of the 7th - been there, obsessed about that!). And Venus conjunct natal Part of Fortune, in natal 5th!! -some sort of spiritual crisis, leading to enlightment (Pluto on your Neptune; Neptune in the 12th of the SR) -I also get a feeling that you moved out of your house, moved into a new one, had troubles with parents or roommies (Saturn in the 4th, but with Venus and Mars there seems more like buying a new house, Mars ruling your 2nd SR house, Venus ruling the 8th). Let me know how far from it I was. IP: Logged |

Okay, hope you're happy. You made me nostalgic about 2002. Here's what I went through.

Ah Izo, it is enough for those who can read them, lolsASC R in the 7th conj Sun s11HR in the n2nd >> did you work with a friend with who was also your roommate? s4th falls on natal 11th + Jupiter in the 10th that falls on natal 6th >> was there also promotion at work? I also think you moved abroad that year >> s9H cusp falls on natal IC, did you move because you were running from unrequited love? sH9R is Venus in the 8th or to be with him s9H cusp falls on natal Venus? Mars and Saturn also in the solar 9th I think you worked abroad and you worked hard Yes, it does look like you seriously fell in love >> sMc in the natal 5th, sMoon/ Neptune conj n Moon/ Neptune in the 4th, s5HR Uranus in the solar 5th + sNeptune there, it was wonderful for some time sVenus sextile Moon/Jupiter but it did not work, did it? >>> sSaturn on the n5th cusp opposition Jupiter/Uranus Eh, I don’t know what else, please let me know what really happened!

WOW, this is becoming VERY, VERY interesting! What an awesome idea you had! I see you focus more on house overlays, that's very interesting. I didn't pay too much attention to them until now (but I'm gonna start, definitely), I guess I concentrate more on aspects and house rulers in the SR chart and powerful conjunctions to the natal. Okay, here's the feedback. quote: sASC R in the 7th conj Sun s11HR in the n2nd >> did you work with a friend with who was also your roommate?
Nope. I wasn't working at that time. quote: s4th falls on natal 11th + Jupiter in the 10th that falls on natal 6th >> was there also promotion at work?
Yes, I guess you can say that. What happened is that I finished highschool and went to Medschool (Mars conj natal Chiron). quote: I also think you moved abroad that year >> s9H cusp falls on natal IC
I didn't move abroad, but I did move - to the opposite side of the country, to go to college. (in the SR chart: Jupiter in the 10th, planet of higher study, sextile Venus, ruler of the 9th). quote: did you move because you were running from unrequited love?
No. I wanted freedom. It was the first time I left my parental home, it was time. quote: or to be with him s9H cusp falls on natal Venus?
Yes. To be with somebody, who was already a student in the city I went. He was a Sagittarius hehe. Still is, I think. quote: Mars and Saturn also in the solar 9th I think you worked abroad and you worked hard
Ugh... I have natally Saturn in the 9th. I never travelled abroad, unfortunately, but would like to, someday. 9th house in this case represents studying - hard, indeed. The admission to Medschool was a competition and I had to study hard for it. But I got in, with a scholarship. Hence that lovely Jupiter in the SR 10th! (I guess I'm proud of myself for this accomplishment) quote: Yes, it does look like you seriously fell in love >> sMc in the natal 5th, sMoon/ Neptune conj n Moon/ Neptune in the 4th, s5HR Uranus in the solar 5th + sNeptune there, it was wonderful for some time sVenus sextile Moon/Jupiter but it did not work, did it? >>> sSaturn on the n5th cusp opposition Jupiter/Uranus
Yes. Not necessarily seriously, but for the first time. My first kiss, imagine that (late, late bloomer). (Venus conj natal Mars and Mars conj natal Venus, though widishly). It was horrible. . Indeed, it didn't work out. He had some psychiatric issues (Neptune and Uranus in the SR 5th) and became violent (Pluto opposite Saturn, natal Ascendant ruler; Mars, SR 8th house ruler (on natal Chiron) square Uranus, SR ruler of 5th). This is pretty much what happened. Being admitted to Medschool, moving out of the parental house for the first time, being in my first relationship were the highlights of that year. Very good guesses! ------------------ Every day is a battle with yourself, one you can never win, nor lose, nor abandon.

I'm really sorry 2002 was such a bad year for you. quote: 3) bet my money you fell in love BIG TIME with Jupiter in the 5th house of the SR and that Pluto on your Moon (ruler of the 7th - been there, obsessed about that!). And Venus conjunct natal Part of Fortune, in natal 5th!! yes yes!! Stellium in the s5th + Moon conj Pluto, I fell in love and it was a very intense and even obsessive, long-term love
Yes, I can see the long term part, SR Descendant falls on your natal Saturn, chart ruler. Also, that Venus-Saturn conjunction in the solar 4th/natal 5th. quote: 4) some sort of spiritual crisis, leading to enlightment (Pluto on your Neptune; Neptune in the 12th of the SR) yes yes, the hardest year of all >> sSenda conj nSun/IC opposition sPholus/nMC >>> I was suicidal and very depressed; my life changed completely, my parents went through a horrible divorce, the family fell apart which is a disaster for someone with Sun on IC! >> sPluto opposition stellium in the 5th that falls on natal 4th >>> everything I loved =my family was destroyed!, Saturn in the 4th my dog died, we loved him so much, it really was death in the family for us …
It sounds horrible, indeed. My parents got separated in 2000 and it was awful. I have Venus on IC, I know how important family must be for you. I was 17 at that time, but it still hurt like hell. Neptune rules your 2nd house natally, as it does in my chart, for me this transit completely ripped me off my support system, it was like free falling. quote: yes, I moved to another city although I did not live with my parents >> s3Hcusp falls on nIC, s3HR Venus in the 4th conj POF I later changed the apartment and my roommate turned out a very cool person and she and I are still good friends, I was very lucky to have met her; but yes Mars ruling my s2nd and Venus ruling my 8th opposition Pluto >> my world, my values everything was destroyed by Pluto that was a very transformative year for me
I totally missed Pluto opposing Mars/Venus/Saturn. I have a similar combo natally, it is indeed a nightmare. I'm glad you met your roommie and you two got along. I got a positive vibe regarding your 4th, but since Venus and Mars ruled houses usually related to finances, I thought you bought something. quote: Pluto conj Neptune in the s12th >> I had many premonitions that came true later and precognitive dreams at that time + horrible nightmares, it all made me paranoid and almost delusional
I can relate to that. Pluto on my Neptune had that effect, too. It did bring spiritual awakening, but I'm still not over all that horror (my transit ended in Dec 08). IP: Logged |

LOL. I have a licence in medicine, getting another in psychology... now I know my Saturn in the 9th would like to overcompensate for the intellectual inferiority complex, but I don't know if I could handle doing astrology as a pro. I'm not thorough enough. I miss stuff. But you are right about something, I have Urania conjunct NN (and in the lexi of my name). I definitely enjoy it. IP: Logged |

Haha, yes it does! That's so cool! I always thought Pluto/Scorpio was associated with Psychology, and of course it makes sense that you're Scorpio MC with Pluto in the 8th. Speaking of asteroids conjunct MC, I have Psyche there. (where is yours, btw?) Opposite Chiron. I have considered doing child psychiatry, but decided to go with surgery. I do think I have a natural inclination for psy, but I guess my chart demanded something that's more of a challenge lol. IP: Logged |

I'm truly confused about my SR chart for last year. It was an eventful year, as well, but I don't really see my life in the chart. Some stuff, yes, but the rest is blurry. Probably because 5 or 6 planets were packed in the 1st and the SR houses fell inside the corresponding natal ones. It felt confusing. Wanna look at it and strike me with your astro genius?

Peri and Izo, I am trying to teach myself how to read Solar Return charts. If you have any time, I would be very grateful if you would take a stab at my chart for this year? It would help me so much to see the astrological clues to what my higher self and guides are telling me is getting ready to happen.

WOW This is an awesome thread and will take me months to fully understand! I am having the most interesting year for 12 years right now. So many things are happening and i will end this year with a life 100% different from Jan 1st 2009. It doesn't appear to show in my chart though. In fact my chart says more 'stay put'!

Izo, I think this year was generally good for you and made you feel good about yourself and your achievements: solar houses fall in the corresponding natal houses, you also have stellium in the 1st which is huge. Did you start working that year? I think the main focus was graduation, starting up your career >> sMC falls on natal Jupiter, and money making Uranus,Venus, Merc in the 1st that falls on the n2H. You probably had to split from some of your old friends >> Jupiter in the 12th , and met new ones? Pluto in the 11th s11Hcusp falls on Moon/Neptune in the 11th; have you met anyone you got interested in? >> Mars in the 5th? an Aries maybe? You also have sMoon 6HR in the 1st opposing sSaturn 12HR in the 7th >> I can relate it with either health problems or more likely stress and hard work at workplace.

Wow DD you have sASC on nPluto in the 10 and Pluto/Sun on Sun/Merc! I get the feeling that you got married, gave birth to a baby and moved house that year, I may be off though. Marriage >> sASC in the n 10 conj nPluto, Mars n7HR and Merc s7HR in the s1st, Mars on NN, Pluto is on nSun, sDSC on the n4th >> living with your partner Child >> Venus on IC, s5HR Uranus in the 5th, 5Hcusp on natal Moon, s8th on n5th house, I don’t know what else to say, it’s weird, I just 'get the feeling' which I don’t seem to be able to explain clearly and distinctly, meh
