You may have already read this, but to get people's ideas flowing, here is the aspect interpretation from astro.com:

"Mars Conjunct Pluto
The conjunction of Mars and Pluto is a very powerful aspect to have in the composite
chart, for it indicates a strong power drive within the relationship that may express

Mars/Pluto is a lust bond, especially a conjunction. Good sex. Hot sex. In the 8th house I would say it would be especially indicative of a sexual obsession. Might be a little TOO intense. Depends on what else you had going on.

Post the composite. Now I'm intrigued.

Yes, a very sexual bond, however it is of the utmost importance that you don't do anything you don't want to do. I don't care if you have already declared yourself the freakiest, kinkiest person in the world, you must, must, MUST!!! DO NOT DO ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT TO DO!!!! And absolutely nothing dangerous. This measurement is incredibly potent between a couple.

Sounds great, but what if this was on a chart with your granny?

Not so hot. It might need a rethink in this instance.

In any instance I think as much as yes, in a sexual relationship this is hot, hot, hot, etc., there is always going to be another dimension to the dynamic that it would be wise not to overlook. Same with any aspect, in my view. Always helpful to dig a bit deeper than the obvious interpretation.

Yes, you're right. I would not want to have this with granny. You could be looking at a "Sybil" situation. Consider that you have it in Virgo with Granny, she could be your best active gardening teacher, the literal birds and bees and trees and seeds. You could be helping her on the farm in a big way. I've seen this aspect with parents and siblings of strict farm families where they wake up at 5 AM to milk the cows before breakfast, etc. Nothing sexual about it. But active mystery is also suggested by the 8th house symbolism. Perhaps they are expert hunters who really handle the death of animals in a business fashion, slaughter their own cows, etc. That's real 8th house stuff.

Hmmm. Good point Blue Moon. I went with "hot, hot, hot" because a) I am always thinking about sex and b) because I got the sense that the original poster was talking about a romantic relationship but you are right.

Hmm. 8th house can also represent joint resources, like inheritances, finances, taxes, alimony, stuff like that right? And Mars/Pluto can be dominance and power struggles? So what about a divorce or some kind of family issue where one party is trying to gain the upper hand in that regard?

Wow, thanks for all of the replies! I'm sneaking to do this at work {lol} but when I get home I'll see what I can do about posting the chart. This person is a friend so there is nothing sexual between us -however this being such an intense placement, I was curious to hear what others had to say {opinions/ experiences}. What's even more interesting is that we both have mars conjunct pluto in our natal charts. The only difference is that mine is almost exact and his is a much wider orb. Also, in out composite the placement lays between Libra and Scorpio. I will say that I feel very bonded and rather protective of this friend. {having this with granny...ewww. LOL}
