Not to get too much into details - I noticed my boyfriend, who is a cancer, gets extra into love making when there's a chance of conception. I know he wants to have children in the near future, he just turned forty, but I am younger and not ready, so it isn't a possibility just now. However, I am wondering if the 'danger of conception' excitement is a cancer trait? IP: Logged |

i wouldnt point it to cancer - more to his wanting children and being the age he is - those 2 combined for him.IP: Logged |

I agree with Lonake. I'd also look at hard aspects involving the outerplanets, transneptunians involving the 5th house, 5th house ruler
there are 2 transneptunian dwarf planets that are named after fertility, creation deities
Makemake named after Rapanui fertility, creation god Haumea named after Hawaiian fertility, creation goddess Raymond

I'd look to the fact that sex is better for men without a condom. It has nothing to do with signs or wanting children, etc. And yes, I am serious.

Lucia23, The Cancers I know also have expected, unexpected children. Meaning, while not actively trying for kids, they also were not doing anything to prevent it either. Lonake, that's definitely a possibility. However, he only wants children if we are married, so I'm not sure that entirely fits as a reason.
Glaucus, His 5th house is ruled by Capricorn in lat degrees (28º). While his moon is located in the 5th, there are no aspects to other planets. At least, in his natal scope.
DIana, not just condoms. I'll have to go through my Linda books, as I think she mentioned something about a sign preferring sex with the possibility of producing children. If not Linda, it may have been Martine. If I can locate my older posts from 2005ish about Martine's interpretation of Cancers, I'll add a link to this thread. IP: Logged |

I have Sun,Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio. I have a Virgo Ascendant with Capricorn on 5th house cusp. My Sun is actually in the actual constellation (not talking about sidereal zodiac) of Virgo.Saturn makes hard aspects to all my Scorpio planets quincunx Sun contraparallel Mercury and Mercury I am not attracted to danger.
I want to know what I am getting into. Avoiding sexually transmitted diseases,HIV virus is very important also, I'd rather have sexual intercourse with only a woman that I have a committed relationship with. I want it to be with a woman that I am going to be married and have children with. Therefore, the use of protection will be unnecessary. Raymond

I thought about it and I know why. Babies aren't a turn on. I'm not saying that people who like making babies are turned on by babies, but for me, it would be a turn off because they are the opposite of sex to me. I can't merge the two. I guess I could never *plan* to have a baby. IP: Logged |

lol Diana. I was a d@mn sexy baby. This thread is putting (Cancer Sun) Will Ferrell in my head, when he plays his flute in Anchorman and says, "That's baby-making music." I would guess that for Cancers the turn-on isn't the risk of conception, but is instead the idea that they're participating in conception. I think Cancer easily taps into a preconscious, instinctual level of being. And on that level, we're life programmed to pass on life (whether we consciously want to or not is another issue). So maybe Cancer gets off on living out that primal impulse. IP: Logged |

And the cozy idea that their lover will end up barefoot and pregnant and with a little piece of Crabman inside them for nine months, and then linked to the Crabman in a deep way FOREVER. Cancer men are supposedly very into homemaking and security. IP: Logged |

Ok, I am going to put myself out there and admit that I get really turned on by the "possible conception" element of sex. And I am Virgo, but I have Venus in Scorpio. I just love the idea of the creation process inherent in reproduction. It seems so primal and instinctive to me. With that being said, the knowledge that another child is undesirable until I'm married has made ongoing contraception a necessity, so I'm very glad that Glaucus warned me about my Makemake and Haumea transits coming up this year (they make me extra fertile and put me at an added risk for unwanted pregnancy) because I'm definitely not ready to "makemake" or "haumea" another baby anytime soon ( sorry, I love wordplay) and thus will be extra, extra careful if I become sexually active again. ------------------ My Chart

"With that being said, the knowledge that another child is undesirable until I'm married has made ongoing contraception a necessity, so I'm very glad that Glaucus warned me about my Makemake and Haumea transits coming up this year "Actually you already have those transits going on. Transiting Makemake has been conjuncting your Sun,and it's exactly conjunct your Sun right now. You had Sun conjunct Makemake in your last Solar Return, and you're going to have the same aspect in your next Solar Return. Therefore, you're in a Sun conjunct Makemake 12 month period, and will be going through another one. Transiting Haumea has been conjuncting your Jupiter, and it's exactly conjunct your Jupiter right now. I generated ephemerises for all the named big transneptunians so people can check their transits. I was quite stunned to see your exact Makemake and Haumea transits....especially having them at the same time right now. That was a factor in me deciding to generate ephemerises for people in this forum. Raymond

I think it has more to do with his desire for a child...maybe not even consiously. I think it's somehow built into us (at a certain age) to want/need to procreate and the element of a possible child, whether he consiously wants one or not, is probably really turning him on.IP: Logged |

I have a cancer moon and I'm an Aries....both of my pregnancies were nice surprises but then I have Uranus in the 5th ruled by Libra. The idea of making love to conceive a baby sounds very appealing, though I have not done that or even worked on purposely trying to get pregnant by tracking my fertility cycles etc....or even take my temp to figure out when is the best time to conceive. But I imagine purposely making a baby might be in the traditional relationship - when a couple is married and wanting to have children.....I have never been in this scenario/situation. My pregnancies = a miscalculation of when I am fertile and when I was not.... IP: Logged |
