 an easy way to find out is by looking at the chart for example my chart would be sun taurus 26.30 duad in pisces
moon aquarius 24.52 duad in scorpio
mercury taurus 7.55 duad in leo
venus aries 15.19 duad in libra
mars pisces 19.57 duad in libra
jupiter cancer 9.57 duad in libra
saturn capricorn 25.11R duad in scorpio
uranus in capricorn 9.08R duad in aries
neptune in capricorn 14.19R duad in gemini
pluto in scorpio 16.06R duad in taurus
NN in aquarius 11.13 duad in gemini note if you have any planet at 0-2 degrees you will have that same sign dwad
if its 15-17 you will have the opposite sign duad
if you have a planet at 0-29 then its the pervious dwad and 30-59 then its the next sign like for exaample say you have 7.17 sun in aries then your dwad will be in cancer not leo i dont know how too find the exact degree but i can only find which sign your duad is in. if your having troube and want to know a duad for any sign just ask me ill get it for ya. For exact degree calculation, I use time calculators (which you can google).Ie: My Sun is at 19'12 Aquarius. So that's the Virgo Dwad, which starts at 17'30. I subtract 17'30 from 19'12, which gives me 1'42. Multiply 1'42 by 12 = 20.4 degrees. So my Sun dwad is at 20'4 Virgo. IP: Logged |

I never looked much into dwads because coming up with the calculations for it drove me bananas but thanks for the easy map, Dep Taurus...and the Calculator, Alma Sun.

Dwads are awesome. I think discovering dwads has been the most enlightening experience I've had since I begun studying astrology 15 years ago.
I relate so much with my dwad chart and its connections to my radix. It has been a revelation for me. In synastry too. I can also testify to the power of Sun-Moon conjunctions between dwad and radix. My calculated dwad Sun is at 14 Virgo, which was exactly conjunct the Moon of the only man I ever truly loved.  IP: Logged |

What are the orbs used for Dwad planets in synastry? My dwad moon may or may not be considered conjunct the Ex's Scorpio Sun. My dwad moon is actually also conjunct the moon of a very good friend of mine. And I thought it was just the Plutonic connection (natal moon's in the 8th). My dwad Sun is in Taurus conjunct Natal Jupiter....just another extra reason to explain easy relating to Taureans and Sags? Cool. IP: Logged |

I'm not sure, BM, but they're wider than the ones used in regular synastry. I just wanted to add, though it's a bit offtopic, that one of the things that dwads really helped me with was my unaspected Venus. Now in my dwad chart Venus is my chart ruler and is the apex of a T-cross with (Sun conj Pluto) opposite (Mars conj Uranus). It... speaks... volumes... ------------------

Holy moly -I just did a few calculations with my ex and I and got the followingdwad sun conjunct dwad moon dwad venus conjunct natal AC dwad venus conjunct dwad venus dwad moon conjunct dwad sun (7 degree orb) dwad moon conj natal NN
This is crazy (ggood crazy)

So according to this I would have a strong connection with someone with a pisces sun (conj to my dwad pisces moon) and a cancer moon (conj to my dwad cancer sun) and aquarius rising.That is a combination that I never thought I'd be attracted to... interesting-my first love from 25 yrs ago(who married another) was a pisces sun and I always thought leos and pisces were not supposed to be compatible and we were very compatible-very comfortable with each other IP: Logged |

thanks amowls for the info on how to calculate the degrees.I am wondering whether re-drawing a duad chart would require you redoing the chart completely, houses and all?? eg, my duad rising sign is 2.20 scorpio so would this be the start of my first house? Not sure how I would calculate the IC though as my natal IC is in taurus and it's duad sign is 13.20 Sagittarius (which should technically be the second house ruler in the duad chart if i was to redraw it). ahh never mind I don't think you can redraw the chart.. just locate the points :P IP: Logged |

my duad sun is at 25.12 capricorn and I have had only one cappy boyfriend (when I was much younger)... he was an early january baby though so nowhere near 25.12 capricorn and I broke it off after a short while. I have only a couple of capricorn friends in my life.I initially calculated my duad sun to be at 25 Aquarius, which would make more sense as most of my girl friends I have become very close to have had Aqua suns between 20-29 aquarius (which is also sitting on my ASC). 22.06 taurus = 25.12 capricorn duad right? NICE!! My Unaspected Venus turns into Dwad Venus in Sag but I haven't made the exact calculations for that yet. I'm gonna have to sit down and do this when I actually have time and I'm *not* studying Renal. smh

hey welcome moonfish this is me just guessing but if someones duad sun oppsoites the other persons natal sun. there could be an intense connection. but they could be very different you know the saying opposites attract. it could be similar to that. IP: Logged |

well in your duad chart if you have say sun in aries opposite someone elses natal mars it can make it is easier to get along with arians because mars is ruled by aries. or if one of your duad planets are in aspect to a planet say your duad sun makes a conjunction to someone elses natal venus then you would have a connection to that person as well as taurians and librans because venus rules those two planets. personally i think it would be strong in libra. i hope that helped also i didnt write this article i found it online wish i had the link.
