Her Solar Return MC is conjunct her natal DSC too.

I think you have to take all transits/progressions/solar arcs/solar return aspects into account. Like I don't think one aspect like Uranus transiting her 7th will override the SR MC conjunct DSC, and the SA Venus opposing her DSC ruler.

I agree Belgz, maybe it accelerated the marriage.

8th, what about aspects to your natal?

Edit: I just looked again at my Progressions/Solar Arcs for 2012 and my Solar Return MC is conjunct my DSC (on top of SA Venus conjuncting my DSC ruler and SA MC conjunct my Venus! :X At the same time though, transiting Uranus will be hovering over my Venus. So it would be an unexpected marriage because really, I don't see myself getting married in 2 years.

BELGZ

i also think that uranus passing the DSC might scare a bit...

but it can go two ways:it is always a sudden change,so you can separate, you can marry, you can live together, you can divorce...so many things can happen.

like DD said, because the 8H rules also sex, joined finances,it could signify even more a marriage situation.in the princess chart.

Paul newman had that when married his true love btw...

what house uranus rules in your chart?

in mine it is ruling my 5th so it pertains to: children, relationships of gf/bf,creativity and also romance.

so probably in my case,if i see uranus transiting DSC( which will happen within two years...) i will be thinking about more a baby for example, than a marriage itself.of course only looking at uranus at this...

hmmm well uranus rules part of my 5th and 6th.
My chart is on page 2 of this thread.

Uranus on my DC right now isnt doing anything. I already have a uranus person in my life too which is my aqua moon b.f.
When uranus first touched my DC i kinda quit/got fired from work.

Maybe i will stray again from my b.f but ive been clingy and posessive of him for the first time in 10yrs. Plus uranus is square my moon, theres no telling how any transit could manifest.

the best way is to see what the other planets and asteroids are doing,in the same time as Uranus is there.

did you looked at these committment asteroids?groom, briede, and boda?they are strong pointers when marriage arises.

i looked into the time when TR URANUS will cj my DSC exact and i´ll be having A LOT going on..

- i+ll begin my saturn return(at the same time,Saturn will also cj my Pluto in 1stH)
- TR NODE cj between Jup/uranus nd FELicitas
- TR PLuto (ruler 2nd) cj IC
- TR AMOR cj 5Hcusp
- TR Jup/Bried cj my Moon
- TR Karma nd Venus cj NN/PF/Vesta
- TR MARS cj Sun

Uranus will kx sun, trine jup/uran/mars/valentine,so i guess it will not bring much bad news..i see change allright but maybe more due to saturn return also..?

Belgz,

you only count the planets ruling the sign of the cusp of a house, or a planet ruling a sign, that is fully intercepted in a house, as house rulers. Don`t ask me why. Well, I have tried it the different way, too, but it didn`t deliver any useable results.

So according to this theory, Uranus only rules your 6th house, and with DSC not only being representative of your lifepartner, but also businesspartnerships, Uranus as ruler of 6th house on DESC could very well mean a sudden / unexpected / surprising change (URanus) in relationships (DESC) relating to your work (6th house), which of course could be a loss of job. It could have other meanings, too, of course.

Hey Amowls,

I had Uranus aspects as well and we made a quick decision to elope...so ya never know!

Someone once told me that you can only compare solar arcs to solar arcs, but I think that the way I listed the aspects may have been confusing.

Natal SA to SA means my natal Solar Arcs to my Progressed Solar Arcs on the day that I got married, so...let me rephrase.

My natal SA Venus quincunx my Progressed SA AC 0 degrees

My natal SA MC squares my Progressed SA Pluto (the SA chart ruler on that day) 0 degrees

My natal SA Mars (DC ruler) opposes my Progressed SA sun 0 degrees

My Progressed SA Venus semisextile my Progressed SA Sun 0 degrees

My Progressed SA Venus (AC ruler) biquintile my Progressed SA Mars (DC ruler)

Hopefully that makes more sense this time!

8th

Hi everyone

My marriage date included the following

Prog Desc conjunct my chart ruler
Prog Moon sq Mars
Natal 7th ruler conj nVertex
Prog 7th ruler conj Jupiter
Prog Jupiter sextile to the minute nJuno
Prog Fortuna conj my hubby's nName Asteroid
SA Vertex conj my hubby name
SA Valentine conj to the minute nVenus/Mars

Just some of the connections to further your research amowls ...

Now...remember to look at your converse solar arcs and progressions as well. Sometimes the story is more telling with them.

8th, in this post mostly I've been looking at SAs to Natal aspects. I thought that's how they're usually read?

Lara, I broke up with my boyfriend when Pluto conjuncted my DSC.

I should have clarified it was Transiting Pluto conjunct my natal DSC.

Pluto's not very big in my chart, no. It's in Scorpio in my 5th, barely squares my Sun and that's it as far as aspects go.

My mum and dad when they got married.

Dad had SA venus on AC

My mum had the sextiles and trines working for her. SA venus was TRINE 7th ruler Saturn.

Wow, looks like a really strong trend for SA Venus forming a hard aspect with natal Angles and vice versa. I had that when we married. My SO didn't, but he did have that when we first met. We were together for a relatively long time before marrying (over 7 years).

Hmm, now I'm curious about couples who are essentially married but lack the certificate. I know these SA indicators speak to outward actions, not inner psychology. By that, I mean it doesn't show that you feel like you're married; it shows that you are. So maybe unwed couples start behaving and living as a married couple when they experience these hard aspects.

I'd be interested in checking out Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins' SA info as an example.
