The Pre-Natal Eclipse point is the point where the last Solar Eclipse occurred prior to the birth of the native. The house in which the Pre-Natal Eclipse occurred is a very important house for the individual, as it activates activities and issues associated with that house throughout the native's life. The date of the Pre-Natal Eclipse will always be within six lunar months of the birthdate, and usually in the same house that houses one of the Lunar Nodes. The Pre-Natal Eclipse point can be viewed as any other natal planet or astrological point, and be treated in such a manner. People born within a matter of hours of the eclipse point can experience difficult and traumatic births. Many astrologers believe that the eclipse point is the point at which the soul enters the world. Until the actual moment of birth, the entity travels through our world and scouts around for a perfect vehicle to complete what is needed to be within this lifetime. That is why the Pre-Natal Eclipse is of such importance and its influence can be felt during the life of the native. The house that contains the Pre-Natal Eclipse point is a very important house for the individual. The area of life that is governed by that house is an area that the native feels a strong need to grow and develop. The element of the sign on the cusp of that particular house indicates what mode of activity the native will initiate to expand that area of their life. For example, if the Pre-Natal Eclipse occurred in the ninth house with the air sign Gemini on the house cusp, then the native will seek to expand their spiritual awareness through mental activity. If the Pre-Natal Eclipse point should happen to conjunct a planet in the natal chart, then that planet will be utilized in the expansion process. If Mercury should conjunct the eclipse point of Gemini in the ninth house, then the native may use various avenues of communication in helping them to increase this spiritual awareness. Obviously, when looking at how an eclipse will affect the natal chart, the chart as a whole must be taken into consideration. For the most part, eclipses are a fascinating territory of astrological study, and can be an integral part of chart delineation. http://astrotherapy.blogspot.com/2009/07/eclipses-part-2-during-solar-eclipse.html

PRENATAL SOLAR & LUNAR ECLIPSESThe Solar and Lunar eclipses that occurred directly prior to your birth have a particular significance as well. These indicate, in the case of the Pre-natal Solar Eclipse, a gift you have come to earth to share with your fellows, and that hopefully you will succeed in manifesting and modeling for others. The Pre-natal Lunar Eclipse indicates a personal lesson you have chosen to tackle - coming from a past-life experience for which you have the opportunity to create balance in this lifetime. For more on the Prenatal Eclipses and what they mean to you, it is necessary to know the Sign and Degree in which they occurred, and to note where they fit in your natal chart. DD, Johny prenatal lunar conjunct my IC did you check for Jude? and post natal eclipse conjunct George Sun (conjunct asteroid actor) and prnatal lunar conjunct my husbands sun

Thank you Vesta for starting this thread. I think eclipses are extremely powerful and deserve more studies. I think both pre-natal and post-natal eclipses should be studied because I feel that the eclipse closest to the birth date (whether it is the pre or the post natal eclipse) should be the more significant one as it will more likely imbue the native with its particular energy. In my personal chart, I was born almost at equal distance between the pre and post natal eclipses and I have no idea what to make of it. Let me clarify and say that since eclipses come in set of 2, I was born at equal distance between 2 sets of eclipses, not between 2 eclipses... I hope I am not confusing people. lol. IP: Logged |

Belage, I have recently ordered a book about prenatal eclipses and waiting the arrival impatiently. It tells of the aspects that the prenatal eclipse makes to other planets in the natal chart and gives the info on what it means. When I receive the book I will be more than happy to share the info.IP: Logged |

Cafe astrology has a handy dandy ephemeris list of eclipses from 1940 to 2014: http://www.cafeastrology.com/eclipsessolarlunar.html I just checked it and I was wrong, I was not born right between 2 sets of eclipses. But my birth is closer to the post natal set eclipse...

Lara, the Jan 15 eclipse conjunct mars shows you want change and you will be more daring, trine your Uranus shows you will get the change and things may seem more unusual/ unfamiliar. opp your Neptune shows a bit of spiritual and karmic influence during this period. be careful not to put ego ahead of spiritual needs. Lara,I just accidentally clicked onto the progressed prenatal New Moon (which coincides with my prenatal ecclipse somehow, at least it is the same degree and minute) and it is on 21 Capricorn! EXACT conjunct my natal Sun-Moon-mp, and Antivertex, opposing my ERos exact (and Destinn on 23 Cancer) PLUS the transiting NN is on 21 Cappy, too. Whoa! Vesta,
my prenatal Solar ecclipse is conjunct jude`s Karma and Mercury (DESC-ruler) on 20 Sagittarius. Jude`s prenatal lunar ecclipse is on 3 Aquarius, not really strongly aspecting anything in my chart (well it is exact conjunct my Ptah).
But his prenatal Solar ecclipse is on 18 Cancer, conjunct my Saturn on 17 Cancer, my Eros and Vertex on 21 Cancer, opposing my Sun-Moon-mp on 21 Capricorn and trine my Juno on 17 Pisces. Interestingly my prenatal Lunar ecclipse falls onto 7°01 Sag - Gemini. And my ASC is on 7°01 Sag. Down to the ******* minute! oh it is conjunct jude`s ASC and Neptune btw. IP: Logged |

Going by Belage's link, these are the eclipse dates on either side of my birth:Dec 13, 1974 11:25 AM Sun 21 Sag 17 Conjunct Moon 21 Sag 17(SE) May 11, 1975 3:05 AM Sun 19 Tau 59 Conjunct Moon 19 Tau 59(SE) So, the second one is the more important one for me? I was born April 14th, 1975. The pre-natal eclipse, was in my second house; the second, in my seventh. *oops. Pre-natal lunar: Nov 29, 1974 10:10 AM Sun 7 Sag 01 Opposition Moon 7 Gem 01(LE) - again, in my second house. Moon in my eighth, conjunct my vertex. (widely conjunct my moon, venus and south node, square mars, opposing Neptune). IP: Logged |

Pre-natal solar eclipse: 27 Pisces 42'Pre-natal lunar eclipse: 13 Virgo 18' The node thing makes sense, because my natal moon is Pisces 4'11 in the 3rd and the N. node is located in the third as well, so the Pisces-Virgo axis is prominent in my chart along with the 3rd-9th house axis, because of the lunar-solar-lunar prenatal eclipses. I must be an old soul with all that Pisces activation, I definitely have a tendency to self-sacrifice and over thinking. IP: Logged |

My Prenatal solar eclipse (total in my country) was 16° Pisces in house 4th My Prenatal lunar eclipse was 2° Virgo in 9th My MC/IC axis it's in 5° Virgo/Pisces, so the Lunar eclipse hits this axis My NN it's in Pisces 11. my Mercury it´s in Pisces 12, and my Sun it's in 22 Pisces, so the Solar Eclipse hits in the middle of NN-Mercury-Sun IP: Logged |
