I'm completely at home with sexual energy. The more aroused I get, the more powerful and in tune with myself that I feel. It's a state I find easy to sustain and express myself within.

Along with this, I'm very focused on another person psychically - feeling what they feel, what they want and need.

Combining that power and empathy, what happens is as I get aroused, I drive my own energy into my partner. I get into his head and overwhelm him, and through him, myself. I give. And it's good.

But then I met my SO and sex went to a whole different level. He's a strong giver too. That energy that I used to drive into my partner, he boomeranged some back on me.

We battle a little. Sometimes physically, but it's really a hypnotic battle for one person's energy to dominate the other. One will tap into the other, and will tempt "You want..." And the person does, but flips it and instead says "You want to give me..." Sometimes this discussion happens with words, sometimes without. It's a battle for who will break first, who will receive. And receiving feels so good.

It's healing emotionally too. I was always the one looking out for others. Whether I had to be or not, that's how it was. The message in my family was, "Deal with it on your own. And while you're at it, help me deal with it too." That stayed with me. I have a Cap Venus. Cap feels alone. I've always thought of Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" as being a Cappy Venus kind of a song. (Seal has that placement. ) There's a line he sometimes adds in the live version: "If I should fall, would it all go away?" On the cd he says something different. Anyway, I think that sentiment is very Cap. That there is no partner. And you get used to that. You don't expect someone to give what you need. You're the one taking care of yourself and others.

But all that changed with my SO and where it was most immediate and undeniable was during sex.

I am still learning the basics of astrology and had been focusing too much on the negative aspects of my Cap Venus.

What you just said hit the nail on the head for me. I seem to have spent my life being a support/partner for others, and had assumed that my directive nature would mean it would never be any other way.

Post separation from my husband I had a casual encounter with a guy much younger than me. Completely out of character. But he was dominant, took charge, directed me.....and I completely lost control.... it was fantastic!

It made me realise that I crave someone who can take control from me, which enables me to give in to the other aspects of my personality.

Yeah, Cap Venus descriptions have always left me scratching my head, reinforcing that Cap feeling of being alone! I think Cap is a misunderstood sign, particularly how that sign/Saturn influences the Moon and Venus.

~Pisces shows how psychically merged we are physically (2nd house). The Sun is also cnj Venus.

Yes, I can't escape Neptune. I think my Pisces Eros and 5th house, plus Lust cnj my ASC from the 12th show that my Neptune influence carries over to my love nature. (I have a busy Neptune: cnj Sun, trine Moon, etc.)
