There are plenty of great character actors who are not considered "hot".
It all depends on the role if being considered "hot" is an issue.

Talent and looks mean nothing if you don't have nerves of steel. You have to be willing to be rejected 95% of the time.

90% of celebrity glamour looks are thanks to the anti-reflector creams, cinematography and excellent make up artists.
I got an email once with some snapshots of celebrity "hotties" without make up. If Knowflake Origami_Salami is 9/10 without makeup, these celebs were 5/10 at most.

Decent looks, ability to quickly memorize dialogues, ad lib, getting into the character... these are more important. Plus all the good points posted by Vapor and the very valid point made by Meta_4.

Astrologically, ACTOR in 10th is a positive, but I would look for TYCHE + FORTUNA aspects for luck and success in acting.

Can I weigh in on the celebrity hot list?

Tom Cruise: Notice anything unusual in that grill?

Kate Winslet: This uneven eyebrow/eye thing is absolutely noticable in most of her Oscar-worthy performances (she's not always raising that right eyebrow; it almost always appears to be raised), and she doesn't have the greatest body to be doing nude scenes either

Robert DeNiro: Is he the model of handsomeness?

How about this guy?

Or this guy:

I can find more actresses you've seen in loads of films that look less than perfect or symetrical. I just need to get to bed now. The idea that you need to be hot is a myth. Ask Tilda Swinton, or Billy Bob Thornton, or Adrien Brody, or Judy Dench, or Rachel Weisz etc. etc.

Whoa, dude, you are scraping now. An overbite, uneven eyebrows,LOL, come on man....really...... Cruise and Winslet are still absolutely beautiful. Robert Dinero? The guy is handsome as all get out. The last dude you posted isn't prime time and you will notice he is usually casted as the bad guy, the guy on the outside or the wierdo. Like I said, if you look the part, you get the part because the people who make films or are in charge of what films get released, realize that most humans can't get by the perception thing. This is all big time illuminati stuff. I mean, if you want to be an actor or actress in independent films then you can absolutely get the job done and I have never seen raspberry, she might be hot enough, I don't know, it doesn't matter what she looks like to me but It just depends on what "they" are looking for.

I find all women to be beautiful. I think that it is time that women should start realizing that they are more than beauty and start using their spiritual powers as well. I would love an earth where women were in charge.

Raspberri,

It sounds like you want it bad, so just ask yourself, if you dont pursue it...would you come to regret it?

As for rejection, make that 99.5% of the time when vying for serious hardcore gigs. In my opinion, rejection isnt even the biggest issue (unless your the type with super low self esteem to begin with). There's loads of other issues that'll come up (& then, sandwich them altogether). The biggest one for everyone pursuing Entertainment, is financially being able to sustain yourself until you, "hopefully," make it big.
As for looks, there are ways around things...but it'll take forever to explain. In my opinion the actors who do best or even stand a chance, are the realistic ones. ie. They know exactly where they stand in terms of looks/(or lack of) & talent, so they market those assets towards the wisest route. Sad to say, but most actors think they're drop dead gorgeous & talented even if they're not. Just watch the casting audition process of "American idol."

IQ,
[but I would look for TYCHE + FORTUNA aspects for luck and success in acting.]

-What exactly is Tyche about? what does it do? are hard or soft aspects better? So from an acting standpoint, even Tyche overides asteroid Actor?? Fortuna just brings luck to anything in general right?

TYCHE can be slightly stronger than FORTUNA.
It wont override ACTOR, being a generic goddess of good fortune, it blesses the theme of whichever Asteroid or Planet it conjuncts.
Asteroid DIONYSUS is important too, as are aspects to Asteroid EUTERPE for success in acting, theater etc.

I once posted Asteroid lists of dozens of famous Actors in another thread.

IQ,
I gather from what your saying, Tyche is only good with conjunctions? If Tyche is more potent, and you have bad aspects to it...would that overide a well aspected Fortuna? or cancel each other out?

I've got Tyche opp Moon, square Venus & Pluto, trine Uranus
...that sounds kinda bad overall. I was wondering why my Fortuna wasnt doing a better job, cuz I recall you saying it was good.

Also I found this kind of strange. My Tyche is at 23deg cancer, & Actor is at 24deg Scorp. They're supposed to be trining by 1deg...that's pretty close. However my chart shows they're not making any aspects to each other?? Does this mean certain asteroids dont make certain aspects with each other?

Being an actor isn't about talent at all these days... it's about who you are willing to have sex with to make it.

I can barely think of anyone whom became famous in the last 10 years who has any acting talent.
Catherine Zeta Jones is one of the worst actresses ever, as is Megan Fox.

Most actresses and singers sleep their way to the top. There's not really any other way to get there unless you are as talented as Bette Davis or Lauren Bacall.
Even Madonna had to do it!
