any other fellow gemini moons or geminis have a short attention span like i do? i know a few actual gemini suns (i'm a cancer/gemini) and they're like me as well. i have a tendency to be really intense about something for a while but then lose interest and move on. i'm quite habitual about my habits. like one day i'll take a certain route to work then maybe a year later, i'll decide to take another route. i also can't seem to do only one thing at a time. i must do at least two or i feel like i'm not doing enough and/or wasting my time. sometimes i'll be doing something like this, writing an email or what not, but then i'll stop midway and start reading an article on a news site and then come back and finish the note. i find myself to be like this towards friends as well which is probably why i don't like to hang out with the same friends very often all of the time. or, i'll drop friends after a while because i find them boring. boring to me is if they're not different enough or have enough to share or teach me about new things... is this a gemini thing? My daughter has three planets in gemini, and a nice scorpio stellium. You may find several horary charts posted by me "where is my daughters (fill in the blank). it drives this virgo rising completely mad. She gets bored easy, always has. She also has always gotten in trouble for talking in class. She loves to draw and write stories. Even her stories are not your standard. they can become quite silly and animated, no matter the topic.Sometimes at home i have to tell her we need quiet! LOL! She also has very long fingers and issues with her hands. They seem to be very vulnerable. (since gem rules hands) She always has two or three projects going at one time, and i have to tell her to pick one thing and put the rest back which totally goes against her nature. she doesnt like to do that! Wow she really does drive me crazy! but at the same time she brings a certain something into my life. she brings out the kid in me. We have lots of fun together. IP: Logged |

Yeah most descriptions of geminis say that they get bored easily and tend to jump from thing to thing.Im gem rising, however i have a fixed sun in aqua so that helps to keep me at least loyal to my friends (classic aquarius trait). But things like which way to take to class, clothes, food, music, etc, i like to change up. I hate chores, i avoid cleaning at all costs. I even get bored of hobbies once ive "mastered" them. Thankfully astrology is a very expansive subject so i havent gotten bored of it yet lol. IP: Logged |

I am like thatshrugs I don't think it reflects being Gemini I only have retrograde Saturn in Gemini. I have Sun,Mercury,Venus in Scorpio with Virgo Ascendant
I have mutable, cadent t-square which could reflect being bored easily along with adaptability, changeability
Moon in Pisces in 6th square the opposition of retrograde Saturn in Gemini in 9th and Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd it could also be my being a novelty seeker connected to my ADHD and possibility having the DRD4 7R gene that is connected to both. Thom Hartmann refers to it as the Edison Gene.
My short attention span and my ability to become intensely focused for long periods of time would be seen as ability to throw myself into the chase on a moment's notice by people in a hunting-gathering society. Uranus is said to be a planet associated with novelty
my Uranus stuff: Uranus conjunct Mercury/Ascendant midpoint Uranus oppose Mars/Saturn midpoint Heliocentric Uranus Nodes square Ascendant/Descendant axis Geocentric South Uranus Node oppose/conjunct Midheaven/Imum Coeli axis Uranus trine Midheaven Uranus trine/sextile Vertex/Antivertex axis My mother has Sun in Gemini, and she is very similar to me. She told me that being bored is a problem for her. She has Moon in Scorpio, and it's trine Mercury-Venus-Uranus conjunction. She has multiple Uranus aspects in declinations.
I took one of those vocational personality tests for vocational rehabilitation program. My result was Artistic Personality. One of the descriptions was a dislike for routine.

I'm a Gemini sun/mars. I've always been the type that won't finish things I've started if I get bored. I'm very intense in relationships but usually after the thrill of the chase is gone, I'm bored again...basically after getting what I want! The different route to places wouldn't be me...being a Virgo Asc, I kinda like routine in everyday things. IP: Logged |

What do you have in Gemini and what in Cancer? Do you have moon in Gemini? I am very rarely bored but I have many hobbies. I have Sun, Mercury and Venus in Gemini. I think Moon in Gemini is a hard moon. The moon wants a peaceful place to rest and Gemini is restless as a home for the emotions. That would be my guess---Gemini moon. I would not want to have that cuz I think it would be like a perpetual sense of restlessness. If I had it, I would try to find activities that took all my focus and try to lose myself in them. For that time, you could stop the restlessness. With the friend thing, are you afraid of intimacy? Perhaps you move on cuz it is scary to get attached and get to know someone or someone know you. It IS scary but part of the joy of life . I try to get to know my friends as deeply as I can. This is always new and interesting cuz people have so many facets and only open up with time, love and trust so it is an ever changing thing which Gemini's love. Ami My Gemini stellium is in the 8th house. Also, I have Cancer moon and Scorpio Ascendent. The water must modify the Gemini air.IP: Logged |

Yep, and I have a gemini venus. Multiple hobbies, frequent cabin fever, and the bored-with-life syndrome. That's all me..... People don't bore me easily, and I am loyal (cancer sun)....but sometimes my friend's reoccuring vices annoy the crap out of me so I feel the need to just retreat into my shell.

I cant even go to the movies and sit through the whole movie. I need to eventually get up, ring someone or just go bathroom and come back. I get passionate about things and then i just get over it. Moon/Uranus will also bore easily. Trust me lol. I'd also check for Uranus placements (Uranus will like to mix it up), and mutable houses. Especially 3rd house. Mutable anything in general doesn't like to be boxed in at all. Gemini doesn't have a monopoly on that you know. IP: Logged |

i'm a multi-tasker myself. i always say i have the attention span of a 2 year old. i hate going to the movies because i can never sit still. the one thing i hate about being a gemini moon is the anxiety that comes with it. if i am still, it drives me crazy. i talk fast, walk fast and just fast in learning. I'm a Gem Riser with a 3rd house moon and I can identify with what the thread is about. I get bored easily and heaven forbid if I ever get interested in just one thing and stay there. Variety is my spice of life and it keeps me well rounded and not stuck in a rut. Maybe I worship being versatile too much....it makes me an interesing person from what others have told me...Cynn PS> I think with Gemini, it is the search for things in life! To expand one's mind, learn and grow! Life has so many avenues out there and why not live life and enjoy it! IP: Logged |

I'm a gemini mars/mercury, my attention spam is of about 30 seconds and I get bored really easily of everything. I take up new hobbies every day, but I never master anything. At work, I don't have any close friends, but I do have a lot of aqcuatances. It helps that is a huge office (otherwise I wouldn't have been able to stand it) so I get to hang out with different people every day. I'm also extremly scattered and I avoid daily quores like you wouldn't imagine. I literally get depressed when nothing new happens in my life. IP: Logged |

I don't think any of these have anything to do with Gemini. Astrological placements don't cause anything any way. It's that they reflect how we are. Synchronicity.A lot of these traits are possessed by hunters in hunting-gathering societies, especially in ancient times as well as even today in traditional cultures in Americas,Africa,Asia,Australia,New Zealand, etc. They are even viewed as as old souls by East Indians.

the following is from Thom Hartmann:I was in India in 1993 to help manage a community for orphans and blind children on behalf of a German charity. During the monsoon season, the week of the big Hyderabad earthquake, I took an all-day train ride almost all the way across the subcontinent (from Bombay through Hyderabad to Rajamundri) to visit an obscure town near the Bay of Bengal. In the train compartment with me were several Indian businessmen and a physician, and we had plenty of time to talk as the countryside flew by from sunrise to sunset. Curious about how they viewed our children diagnosed as having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), I asked, "Are you familiar with those types of people who seem to crave stimulation, yet have a hard time staying with any one focus for a period of time? They may hop from career to career and sometimes even from relationship to relationship, never seeming to settle into one job or into a life with one person — but the whole time they remain incredibly creative and inventive." "Ah, we know this type well," one of the men said, the other three nodding in agreement. "What do you call this personality type?" I asked. "Very holy," he said. "These are old souls, near the end of their karmic cycle." Again, the other three nodded agreement, perhaps a bit more vigorously in response to my startled look. "Old souls?" I questioned, thinking that a very odd description for those whom American psychiatrists have diagnosed as having a particular disorder. "Yes," the physician said. "In our religion, we believe that the purpose of reincarnation is to eventually free oneself from worldly entanglement and desire. In each lifetime we experience certain lessons, until finally we are free of this earth and can merge into the oneness of God. When a soul is very close to the end of those thousands of incarnations, he must take a few lifetimes to do many, many things — to clean up the little threads left over from his previous lives." "This is a man very close to becoming enlightened," a businessman added. "We have great respect for such individuals, although their lives may be difficult." Another businessman raised a finger and interjected. "But it is through the difficulties of such lives that the soul is purified." The others nodded agreement. "In America they consider this behavior indicative of a psychiatric disorder," I said. All three looked startled, then laughed. "In America you consider our most holy men, our yogis and swamis, to be crazy people as well," said the physician with a touch of sadness in his voice. "So it is with different cultures. We live in different worlds." http://innerself.com/Parenting/hartmann_2135.htm This was from my Vedic Astrology report back in 2004. It seems like what Thom Hartmann was talking about.
Ketu in 12th
In your mind you think of spiritual life as real and true and so you know that material life is not the aim of life. This comes gradually as you get older, as material expectations are one by one ruled out as unfulfilling. Therefore, gradually through life, you spend more of your time and energy towards serving good causes. Also, in an attempt to sort things out in this transition, you become restless, and sometimes try to spend for pleasure, only to feel increased frustration. Overall, you should do well because of your sincere approach to life. Areas to try to prevent disease troubles would include the feet, eyes and private parts. In Vedic Astrology: Ketu (South Lunar Node) is the significator of detachment, liberation, enlightenment, moksha, but it also deals with loss and suffering. It is considered a malefic overall with the nature of Mars. the 12th house is the house associated with those things any ways...those things attributed to Gemini could be Ketu traits...even Rahu (North Lunar Node) traits.
The Vedic Astrologers view Rahu and Ketu like outerplanets. They don't use objects beyond Saturn.
but the traits that are being attributed to Gemini could be the objects orbiting beyond Saturn like Uranus. MyVirgoMask made that point.

@ stopandstareI'm just like that. Or at least most of the time I get bored easily and I can be pretty obsessed about something for a while just to abandon it shortly after -for good. I also have to do several things at one time. Everything what I do, I do quickly-walking, eating, thinking, talking ( I jump from topic to topic confusing people all the time!). I just can't force myself to do something slowly, but I am thorough and demand perfection-mostly from myself. My 8th house is in Gemini with Mars-Jupiter conjunction ( in Cancer) and Lilith-Vertex conjunction (in Gemini). And concerning the 12th house-my Uranus is there conjuncting ASC. I'm Scorpio rising, Virgo Sun and Taurus Moon. Mercury is also in Virgo. IP: Logged |

squirrel," ( I jump from topic to topic confusing people all the time!)" same here The psychiatrists told me because of that, I had a slight thought disorder and diagnosed me as having a shizoaffective disorder and bipolar. They even pushed me to take a neuroleptic (an anti-psychotic) which I refused. I was forced to take Risperdal (an atypical anti-psychotic) because of my speech when I was in mental hospital for depression back in 2002. They just went by what they observed. They didn't know that I was neurodivergent that was in special education system and got speech therapy. Speech irregularities aren't the sign of just psychiatric disorder, but it can be a sign of neurodivergence which I believe is just a variation of the human condition. Those are things that I try to raise awareness of to help prevent psychiatric misdiagnosis. You can't judge a book by its cover. Raymond

Either way, this type of trait is associated with Gemini, and has been for ages. If you have these traits it's because of all that 3rd house action. You can look up these kinds of Gemini placements, and you'll find that thread in common across a wide section of interpretations. And Virgo's similar since it's also ruled by Mercury. Very restless.
