Seeing Belgz´s questions i also went to see mine, and i know that the aspects are only acceptable within 0º,maxim 3min applying and separating right?the ones that i saw are these: - Solar Arc Sun(ruller of my 11th) is sextile jupiter) 0º21 jupiter rules my 3rd house. - Solar Arc sun is trine Kiron9th 0º19 - Solar Arc Mars(ruler of my DSC)is cj Sun-0º´06 - Solar Arc Jupiter(ruler 3rd)trine Venus(ruler of my 8th and ASC) in 0º08 - Solar arc Jupiter sextiles Pluto(ruler of my 2nd) in 1ºorb although it appears as 0º - Solar Arc Uranus(ruler 5th)squares Merc(ruler of 12th and 9th) in 0º8´orb - Solar Arc Uranus sextiles Saturn(ruler of IC) in 0º7´órb - Solar Arc Neptune (ruler of my 6th)trine Moon (ruler of my MC) in 0º27órb
- Solar Arc Neptune kikunxs my NN/PF/VESTA in 1ºorb still... - Solar Arc Pluto opose my Moon in 0º7´orb - Solar Arc VERTEX is square Mars (0º10) and Valentine ( 0º06´) - Solar Arc Juno is trine Merc in 0´06´orb - Solar Arc Vesta is square VERTEX(0´8) and Amor ( 0º08´) - Solar Arc valentine is cj sun(ruler of 11th) in 0º06orb - Solar arc Amor is trine Mars(0º7) and Valentine(0º6) - solar arc Tyche ( luck) is opose Moon - Solar Arc ASC cj Saturn(ruler IC) in 0º80 So...i dont know much about solar arcs but seems that this year it is very activated?specially the moon maybe. Do you see any pattern here please?also..i think most of it are under the orb considered for this year?

Diandra, Quincunx, trines, sextiles are never used with Solar Arcs. They do not make things happen. Only 8th Harmonic aspects: conjunction, semisquare, square, sesquiquadrate, and opposition.IP: Logged |

Lara is that sun/moon as in midpoint or as in sun and moon? And Diandra I think the asteroids make it too technical. Ive been looking into solar arcs since about July last year when I had all of that bank stuff going on and GV mentioned it to me because it turned out to be quite accurate when I had SA pluto square mars. It works really well though its just you dont know how it will exactly manifest until it does. IP: Logged |

sun/moon = midpoint No asteroids allowed - they are an addition but they don't actually mean anything on their own!

I found this for you... You will find these calculation and interpretation tips to be useful in working with secondary progressions: 1) Progressed Moon changing signs or natal houses • shifts in emotional focus 2) Progressed Sun/Moon phase • relationship between the subconscious and the conscious 3) Sabian Symbol for the exact degree of progressed New or Full Moons • a 14-15 year subtle energy pattern operating within the individual 4) Natal house containing the progressed Moon • where memories from 271/3 years ago (sidereal progressed lunation) will surface 5) Current progressed Moon sign • compare to natal Moon sign for reevaluation of habits 6) Progressed ascendant-descendant aspecting natal planet (Q T S R) • relationship changes 7) Progressed midheaven-nadir aspecting natal planet (Q T S R) • home/career changes 8) Progressed Moon aspecting natal planet • 21/2 month emotional episode 9) Progressed Sun-Mercury-Venus aspecting natal planet • 1-3 year episode 10) Natal planets reversing direction by progression (especially Mercury, Venus or Mars) • internalization or emergence of function of consciousness 11) Progressed Sun aspecting natal lunar nodes • life purpose wake-up call From my client files, I will share some areas of life experience activated by secondary progressions (aspects = Q T S R): 1) Physical a) increased vitality and energy • progressed Sun, Mars, ascendant or ascendant ruler aspecting natal Sun, Mars, Jupiter or Uranus and/or progressed Moon in natal 1st/5th/9th houses b) decreased vitality and energy • progressed Sun, Mars, ascendant or ascendant ruler aspecting natal Saturn or Neptune and/or progressed Moon in natal 4th/8th/12th houses c) increased sexual desire • progressed Venus, Mars or 5th/8th house ruler aspecting natal Mars, Jupiter, Uranus or Pluto and/or progressed Moon in natal 5th/8th houses d) decreased sexual desire • progressed Venus, Mars or 5th/8th house ruler aspecting natal Saturn or Neptune and/or progressed Moon in natal 3rd/7th/11th houses 3 2) Emotional a) feelings of vulnerability • progressed Moon, Venus or IC ruler aspecting natal Moon, Saturn, Neptune or Pluto and/or progressed Moon in natal 4th/8th/12th houses b) feelings of strength and confidence • progressed Moon, Venus or IC ruler aspecting natal Sun or Jupiter and/or progressed Moon in natal 1st/5th/9th houses c) memories of childhood • progressed Moon or IC ruler aspecting natal Saturn or Pluto and/or progressed Moon in natal 4th/10th houses 3) Intellectual a) good mental discipline • progressed Mercury or 3rd/6th house ruler aspecting natal Saturn or Pluto b) increased thought activity • progressed Mercury or 3rd/6th house ruler aspecting natal Jupiter or Uranus and/or progressed Moon in natal 3rd/6th/9th/12th houses c) poor concentration/scattered mind • progressed Mercury or 3rd/6th house ruler aspecting natal Moon, Jupiter or Neptune d) returning to college for additional education • progressed Sun aspecting natal 9th house ruler and/or progressed Moon in natal 3rd/9th houses e) writing a book • progressed Mercury or 3rd/6th house ruler aspecting Jupiter or Saturn and/or progressed Moon in natal 3rd/9th houses 4) Spiritual a) increased longing or spiritual loneliness • progressed Sun aspecting natal Jupiter, Neptune or Pluto and/or progressed Moon in natal 8th/9th/12th houses b) decreased spiritual awareness • progressed Sun aspecting Venus or Saturn and/or progressed Moon in natal 2nd/6th/10th houses c) strange symbolic or archetypal dream activity • progressed Sun, Mercury or 3rd/6th house ruler aspecting natal Uranus or Neptune and/or progressed Moon in natal 12th house d) thoughts of death • progressed Sun, Mercury or 3rd/6th house ruler aspecting natal Pluto and/or progressed Moon in natal 8th house 5) Marriage/Family/Children/Social a) new love relationship • progressed Sun, Venus or 5th/7th house ruler aspecting natal Jupiter, Uranus or Neptune and/or progressed Moon in natal 5th/7th/11th houses b) separation and divorce • progressed Venus or 7th house ruler aspecting natal Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto c) challenges with females • progressed Moon or Venus aspecting natal Saturn or Pluto d) challenges with males • progressed Sun or Mars aspecting natal Saturn or Pluto e) harmonious family times • progressed Moon or IC ruler aspecting natal Venus or Jupiter f) challenges with children • progressed Moon or 5th house ruler aspecting natal Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto g) difficult labor/birth • progressed Moon aspecting natal Mars or Saturn 6) Career a) change in career • progressed midheaven or 10th house ruler aspecting natal Uranus or Pluto and/or progressed Moon in natal 4th house b) success in career • progressed Sun, midheaven or 10th house ruler aspecting natal Jupiter or Saturn and/or progressed Moon in natal 10th house c) loss of interest in career • progressed Sun, midheaven or 10th house ruler aspecting natal Neptune or Pluto Because of direct and retrograde stations, secondary progressed planets can remain within allowable orb while forming aspects to natal planets for years at a time. Progressed Mercury, for example, can remain within a 1˚ orb aspect to a natal planet for up to 8-10 years (8-10 days actual time). Progressed station Mercury aspecting natal Saturn for 8-10 years running is common with individuals suffering from chronic depression for many years, and then as progressed Mercury moves out of orb, the mental positivity returns again.

Diandra, as correctly posted by Winged Leo, use only those aspects and never underestimate the sesquiquadrate or semisquare. Last year whilst rectifying my chart with Solar Arcs I ignored those two aspects because……….putting it bluntly I am terribly lazy when it comes to anything mathematical but now after Geo’s recent advice I’m making the effort and I’m coming up with hit after hit, they really are quite significant.

Very interesting. The list is for secondary progressions, though? Anyway, I would always subscribe the importance of the so called tension aspects (conjunction, opposition, square - have to research the sesisquare and semisquare, but I suspect they are valid).
BUT in the research of Paul Westran on progressed synastry, next to conjunction there was a really heavy emphasis on the trine. He was using secondary progressions, though. do you think secondary progressions work after different rules than solar arcs do? IP: Logged |

EDITWikipedia... Tertiary Progression From Astrowiki-en Jump to: navigation, search Tertiary progressions are a predictive method. There are two kinds of tertiary progressions: I (T I) and II (T II). In the first method, T I, each day after the day of birth is equivalent to one lunar month in an individual's life, and in the second method, T II, each synodic month after the day of birth is symbolically equivalent to one year in a person's life. Both methods are rarely used which doesn't, however, mean that they are of little value.

Lara,Belgz is right, secondary progressions are usually just referred to as PROGRESSIONS, while Solar ARc sometimes is also called DIRECTIONS. I find both - Solar Arc and secondary progressions- very significant, but definitely would rely on Solar Arc for rectification. I have been having an eye on my secondary progressions for the last years - and to my own surprise (I didn`t believe in them before), they were very accurately describing the situations I was in or internal developments. I have been having an exact pr Mercury-Venus conjunction in Aquarius for the last 3 years, and at one time this pr MErcury-Venus conjunction was conjunct my natal Moon and also exact conjunct pr Antivertex. Mercury rules my 7th house, Venus my 5th and Moon my 8th house. Actually it was just at this time that I became so obsessed with synastry and relationships in general, having a good look at my own perspective of these areas in my life and "working" through some issues. Also spookingly, when the conjunction of pr Mercury, pr Venus, pr Vertex was EXACT on my natal Moon on 17 Aquarius, I was running into a guy, who had his SN on 16 Aquarius, and this encounter was a major trigger for me letting go of past emotions (and wounds- as you probably know TR Chiron and Neptune were hovering over the conjunction, too).
But Solar ARcs made sense for me, too. When I was 15, I first became very conscious about my spiritual inclinations, telepathy, meditations, insights, other dimensions (actually it was during that time that I was being approached by a complete stranger, an elderly man, who told me I had access to another dimension; he came just out of the blue).
Anyway at that particular time I was having pr NEPTUNE exactly conjunct my natal SUN and MERCURY (Sun and Mercury both rule my 9th house - and it defintely shaped my view on the world; and Mercury also rules my DESC). On the other hand some years ago, I was having pr MARS conjunct natal VENUS, which rules my 5th house, yet I was not having a passionate love affair - even though having said that it was the year I developed a strong cinematical interest in particular films, okay some would say I developed a huge crush. *blushing* But I don`t have crushes! Anyway, maybe this time the Venus-Mars-progression indicated more my leaning towards the arts, especially films and musicals, again, instead of a personal love affair. EDIT: Looking at my current SOLAR ARC (without asteroids) I see: SA SUN in Aqua squaring URANUS, ruler of my 3rd house - last summer it was exact (it is already separating) and at that time Tr Uranus was also squaring my Sun and Mercury - it was during the weeks I travelled to London (3rd house - short travels - London is not THAT far from Germany) to see Jude Law as Hamlet - now if that wasn`t unusual, then I don`t know what is. And I was going on my own, independently (Uranus), of course it was NOT PLANNED, it just happened suprisingly that three people I wanted to go with had to cancel the trip. Uranus, Uranus, Uranus. And then my credit card didn`t seem to work, as the electronic device (Uranus!) couldn`t read it at first, but due to true Sag luck everything solved itself miracoulously. Sabian of the SA SUN was: An Unexpected Thunderstorm SA Moon is in Pisces in natal 3rd house SA Mercury squares natal Uranus: 0-24 a - so if I babble incoherently you all know why. SA Uranus conjunct natal ASC: 0°-14 s again, this is an aspect that was already in play, and approaching, when I was in London. So le`t`s just call it an Uranian experience, shall we? SA SN is conjunct my Saturn: 0°07 s SA MC semisquare Sun: 0°04 a I thought looking at the Sabians might be intersting, too

Diandra, looking at the table of solar arc, I`d say these are the most significant ones: SA Mars conjunct Sun - may indicate a time of selfassertion and energy, and maybe also increased sexual interest - I would think that SA Mars may "energize" whatever house Sun rules
SA Neptune sesisquare Sun - this might in some parts even contradict the above said, BUT if it is about spiritual things you might be VERY assertive - Neptune sometimes seems to dissolve and water the things he touches, unless it is a "natural" area for him, as spirituality would be
Remembering my own SA Neptune conjunct Sun-time, it was a great time for me, but I was not really "from this world"; it almost feels more like a magical dream, or a spiritual dream, but very true at the same time, just spiritually true. Do I make ANY sense here? If not, well that must be confusing Neptune SA Pluto opposing Moon - seems an emotionally intense, yet not easy time - maybe you feel emotional pressure? difficulties due to your mother or with your mother? Maybe you have to cut the "umbilical cord" and find yourself, as apart from her? - in the very least I think emotions are passionate, intense and very very transformative, even if it at times might feel like a trip into the underworld - what house does Moon rule? I guess there will be BIG deep changes in that area (maybe they will stay invisible for a time, but they are there underneath - Pluto is residing below the surface of earth after all)
SA Uranus squaring Mercury - your thinking pattern has been shaken up? Changes in your style of communication? Have you been more rash, independent, sometimes a bit impatient? - what house does Mercury rule? - Can you feel quick changes there, that just carry you away with them, so you feel like you don´t even have the time to properly breathe? - any surprising developments there? here it is the chart.better to look at it. Moon rules my MC and mercury rules my 12th and 9th. thank you for you analysis. well the sun/mars thing im really needing it!i must exercise my assertiveness.tht is for sure. neptune/sun: i definately am now more assertive to waht concerns spirituality, you know that ive been changing internally first,to change the outside surrondings. So yup neptune is also about illusions but i think in this case,it is more directed torwads the search and finding of enlightement, rather than being stuck in dreams. neptune rules my 6th so might show some creaticity there too...? moon/pluto: pluto is never easy...it is very close to my natal IC in transit and so i know that it is not that easy.. i hope that since moon rules my MC it brings changes for beter, career wise.i dont have any now so...i supose that the change could be from not having one,to having some? ahahah uranus/merc: yup ibve been changing all my thinking pattern,as you know i now tend to use a lot the word "e..." that you so like yes,ive also been more radical in my approach to things...but im working on to balance it.it is true that ive been chaning my perspectives and philosophies in life. but till now nothing so sudden has came up.
