I never meant to say Sappho is "chaste", not at all. I do think she was very demonstrative and longing for a real physical touch, but that was fuelled by feelings of deep longing and yearing, a very soulful kind of passion, and it led to some of the most beautiful poetry ever.

But maybe that is not true, after all Sappho was not a goddess, and she might be lacking Eros`knack for complete transformation. While Eros transforms through passion, Sappho may be more about the expressions of passion. I don`t know though, haven`t given it too much thought.

looked it up yesterday ..
turns out it's at 20.08 cancer
that's exactly opposite natal Chiron
yechh .. 'n makes it a closer part of a GC ..

Could you explain more about how Sappho effected you when you learned and why.
I am a beginner so what is obvious to more advanced people is not obvious to me.

i'd like to .. but .. it's part of a GC .. i.e. how to untangle sir sappho from the others ..
( it's saturn-neptune opposite venus .. and uranus opposite chiron ..
( sappho is at a much closer orb to the chiron opposition than uranus ..
( sappho now sits with natal uranus in 1st house ..

i'd have to re-read regarding what sappho might mean ..
( i'm an ultra-newbie to natal and transiting asteroids .. )

and i'm keeping in mind it's an asteroid .. and i've yet to conclude as to how much they might effect me ..
although transiting mercury aspecting natal eros was amusing .. but again .. no conclusions ..

i have Sapprho at 9 taurus in my 8th.

I can see here the creative part because im very into arts and the thing i want to do professionally has to do with helping others,being compassionate and caring,but through my creativity and sensitivity.

Trines my MC.sextiles blackMoon and trines Pallas/IC.So i see here that my artistic hability is not at odds with my chart.

if i look into sinastry,i can see the longing,desire and yearning too.
