BTW Lonake,

even though this is not directly about unrequited love, but in several cases of relationships that were disappointed or even ended in a disaster I`ve seen Neptune square or opposite each other`s North Node.
Did you observe something similiar?

(I just noticed it in relationships of famous people, so maybe it is just because of that, Neptune as planet of glamour, but since then I look out for Neptune in square or opposition to NN).

This was the thread in which I stumbled upon it: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/204799-2.html

square:
Auguste Rodin - Camille Claudel (after their affair she ended up in an asylum)

Bertrand Cantat - Marie Trintigant (he beat her to death)

Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria - Elisabeth:
she was depressed and their marriage detoriated quickly with her practically staying away from court and him all the time
(at that time a divorce was not possible). The tragedy was that he seemed to have still loved her.

opposition to NN:
a gay couple (separated after 12 years; mostly long distance relationship. Due to working in different cities they practically could only spend the holidays or weekends with each other)

Eric Satie - Suzanne Valadon
6 week long affair, before she left him abruptly; he never had another relationship after this

I know the sample is too small to conclude anything from it, but made me pay attention nevertheless (the conjunction of Neptune to NN doesn`t seem to be such a bad thing though, the Mc Cartney`s had it. It was also there between Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, but they also had Pluto square the nodal axis, so that might have added to the destructive nature of their relationship. And like the Mc Cartney`s they were creative together)
