Hi all, I know two men with Sun conjunct Venus in water signs (Scorpio and Pisces) and both also have Mercury in the same sign (Pisces one is conjunct as well). I've noticed both of them have a particular fascination with women's earrings, and appear feminine but not effeminate. They both pride themselves on being able to do activities traditionally associated with women (such as sewing) and somehow there is a certain manliness in the confidence of this. They are also both very charming. What is your experience with men with this conjunction? How do you think this might aspect show up differently in the different signs? IP: Logged |

Wow, that is very interesting! I've never met anyone, WAIT, I take that back, I've met one guy with his sun conj venus, but it was in Libra, and he was always noticing girly stuff. In a good way. He was kinda effeminate, like he sat with his legs crossed at the knee. He loved to cook. I don't know about the sewing, we never discussed that, but he was very creative and into visual arts. His job was setting up websites."Very charming" is something I've read in alot of websites about this conjunction. Which, is nice, since I have it myself. IP: Logged |

How do you suppose it would be different for women than men? Are you really girly or something? IP: Logged |

With the men I've noticed some marked vanity, and they like their women to be something to show off (well manicured well dressed great manners) because they think their woman's appearance reflects on them....they tend to be pretty dismissive and harsh to women who don't reach their standards of physical perfection (whatever it may be) *but* they're too charming to say it to their face, the only way you'd know is if they make a slightly disguised joke about it to someone else. They can be a bit passive aggressive. They tend to be skilled in the arts (cooking, painting, writing, music, etc.). They like to keep the peace, I've known men with this combo in fire and more assertive signs and they still didnt want to appear as agressive etc. in the traditional sense. They tend to be pretty popular too, it would bruise them if they thought they were disliked pretty much across the board, so they work to make sure they're not. Women tend to love men with this conj..they get a lot of admirers.I've never known a woman with this combo so can't comment. IP: Logged |

I never met any man with that conjuction, I have that my Sun and Venus in Aries exantly at 27 degrees, I am very girly, love music, decoration, I try to find the best in everybody, very warm person, love to tuch and hug, very outgoing personality, love pets, flowers, bright colors, in summer I wear flowers in my hair, I try to never hurt people, I think a man will be very nice and sweet. Yeah, ummm...the men with this placement are either really vain or they have this insane need for everyone to like them (which has alot to do with vanity too). Atleast that's how it played out with a Scorpio I'd known last fall. He's very into his music too. These guys also tend to have alot more female friends than male. I haven't noticed any 'female' tendencies in this guy besides his impeccable fashion sense. The closest I have to this placement is Venus in the 5th house, but its unaspected and in gemini so it expresses itself sporadically in its own eclectic way. The need for everyone to like me is something I left behind in highschool..... I just don't care anymore. I might have a little bit of a vanity streak though as I am semi-shopaholic...I have too many clothes, shoes, and make-up. The sad part is I've worn or used about 15% of what I bought. *hides* IP: Logged |

Haha, BenedictMoon... fixed house and mutable sign. Sounds like a party to me. YES. Vanity is definitely up in both the ones I know (though Lonake you sound a bit disdainful about these types?). Also... perfect hair. Like, check-in-the-mirror-every-few-hours-the-Fonz-comb-in-the pocket perfect hair. Lonake's description actually reminds me of men with Libra Venus, too. One which perfectly matches that description had a Libra Venus in the 5th house, and a Libra Moon. Another with a Libra Venus was also somewhat like that, but not the same extreme. His was in the 7th house. ... maybe I know all these type of guys cause I end up dating the majority of them. *also hides* A focus on aesthetics as a point of pride sounds to be the same for yous ladies... just men are supposed to have beer bellies and fart and burp all the time which is not aesthetic at all IP: Logged |

The guy I mentioned above, had sun/moon/asc/and venus in Libra. He spent alot of time in the mirror, and complimented himself frequently. I just went along with it, cause he wasn't all that, but, I don't like to hurt anyone's feelings. And to answer the question, NOPE, I'm NOT girly at all! I think of myself as pretty masculine, and people that know me say the same thing. So, maybe it's reversed in the sexes? Or maybe it's just cos mine are in Sag, which is a masculine sign. Dunno! I have Sun conjunct Venus (Scorpio Sun), but I'm not girly at all, lol. I actually consider myself androgynous, but I identify more with masculinity than femininity. (I'm a woman physically)I can see why Venus would be associated with femininity though. IP: Logged |

I also consider myself androgynous, and that could be a gemini venus thing again or my Aries Mars. I'm not completely one or the other, as I see it. I have some feminine tendencies (like the shopping) and some really masculine ones too (I love sports for instance). There's some contradictions, I know.IP: Logged |

That's interesting. I wonder if there's a clear indication of androgyny in a chart. IP: Logged |

I feel very girly, 9 of my planets are in masculine signs, have 6 planets in fire, I love sports, Soccer, Rugby, Hockey, Boxing I like sports that have lots of contact, but when it comes to me I love to look like a woman, high heels, make sure hair is looking good, perfume I use make up very little, I also have Mars in Aries and for sure I have my temper but I feel very feminine my jeans are very tigh and sexy. I also have the Sun/Venus conjuction trine Moon in Sag in the same degrees. I don't have any planets in water but I do have AS in Cancer IP: Logged |

Oh, it is my faith that everyone is androgynous. Just some hide it better than others. The distinction I would make though is like... Venusian "goals" or "pride" that is just a part of the native. It doesn't have to be worked at, it comes naturally. Girly is one way of expressing it... maybe others? I dunno. It's an interesting placement, I think! IP: Logged |

Hmmm, I've always thought Gemini placements (sun, moon, mars, venus) had alot to do with androgyny since Mercury has no gender. I used to lean more towards the masculine side of my personality when I was younger...to the point that I hated wearing skirts and dresses. To this day I prefer pants to dresses, but its not as extreme as before. Now Im okay expresing both sides. IP: Logged |

True, I don't like vanity in men, in women i think it's fine. I stand by my observations. Although, tbh, the man that fit my description the least with that conj has it in Aries; it's there but it's muted, his Virgo Moon for some reason overrides a lot of his Sun/Venus, it's very strong. The others fit v. well (all the Air & Water conj -6- I've known and it fits). Unfortunately I have Libra Mars so that may be why I keep bumping into them The orb for this one works with a wide, even at 8..must be the power of the Sun.IP: Logged |

I had a maaaaad crush on a guy who used to wear one dangly earring, cowboy boots and acid wash skinny jeans. He also wore a lot of strange rings. His Venus was in Cancer (conjunct my ASC). I don't know his birth time but the Moon is in Cancer that day so it could be conjunct his Venus.IP: Logged |
