I think, much of it has to do with the natal sexual profile. If you are incompatible in that it will be difficult to come to have a satisfying sexlife.

A Venus-Mars conjunction may point towards a strong sexual interest / attraction,

but if HE has Venus / Mars strongly aspecting Uranus
and SHE has Venus / Mars strongly aspecting Saturn or Pluto

they might need completely different things.
Their synastric Venus-Mars-aspect may draw them together, creating a lot of sparks, but then when you get "to business", it just doesn´t fit.

Though I basically agree with Mars-Saturn possibly being a wet blanket, sometimes people need that.
If you have vneus-Saturn natally you resonate with a Mars-Saturn-aspect qwuite strongly. My parents have a DW Mars-Saturn conjunction and their attraction to each other still seems to be strong (they also have Sun-Moon-opposition and Venus-ASC-conjunction).
my Mum has DESC in Capricorn, my Dad has ASC conjunct Saturn and together they have Mars-saturn and Venus-Saturn conjunction.
It`s perfect for them!

Peri,
In your synastry it looks like it's the Grand Trine created with Neptune in relation to Mars/Venus, and then the factor of adding in Saturn to a conjunction also involved in that configuration. It looks lovely but as if it's aiming for something more, working toward something greater.

Geocosmic* Valentine,
What would you remark of a natal Mars sq Neptune, as part of a sexual profile, what component would it add?

Moon trine Venus

i think there might be merit to what Venus De Millo is saying.

for circumstantial factors i cant be sure about my current and how it would be.

all i know is in one synastry and a composite i had aspects like hard mars-venus/mars moon and in the composite sun conj mars square ASC but i didnt feel it at all.

in the current we have a kite, alot of trines and sextiles, and quite a few hard tension aspects (3 oppositions to venus) and jupiter oppose sun, sun square moon.

including venus opp neptune. that platonic unconditional idealized love is there for sure. but as more time has gone along this sexual need and desire just keeps growing and has stayed steady, i wouldnt consider it all primal but it doesnt seem to be something that can die it seems to be a 'need'.

i looked at another composite in this topic and i noticed that one has Pluto in the 5th house as well, i Think pluto in the 5th might be part of it.

an obsession and need in that 5th house area..

also, our sun rests in our 5th house with pluto, jupiter opposing the sun maybe makes this energy even stronger. on top of that the sun/pluto & mars is in scorpio.

we have a grand trine between mars moon and venus.

the venus opp to neptune, and trine to moon, (and if we believed in trines up to orbs of 7/8 would include pluto) perhaps is the love part represented astrologically in the composite. the sexual aspects we seem to have are mars trine venus & moon. pluto if an orb of 9 counted as a conjunction to mars..

anyway, is Lust really that important? i dont look into asteroids really, but for the sake of what De Millo said, i looked, we in synastry have eachothers lust opposing eachothers mars, and aspecting eachothers chiron. (including an exact conjunction of lust/chiron).

in composite lust sextiles moon/venus and opposes mars by 1 orb.

our composite looks very similar to the chart in this thread with the gran trine.

in synastry we lack the classic sexual ones like mars/venus/mars moon and pluto stuff. we have a mars quincunx venus though im not sure if that counts as any kind of notable aspect. though we have tight uranus-venus, and uranus mars. , venus-asc trine.
