What do Nessus and Dejanira actually mean?What do they mean in relation to each other in a Natal chart? What do they mean in relation to each other in a synastry chart? IP: Logged |

Nessus is abuse. It can be where YOU will abuse another(Your Nessus aspecting one of their planets).
It can be where someone will abuse you OR show you your own history of abuse.Deja is the victim. In your chart, it can be where/how you will be a victim. I think this is right. I am fairly new lol ------------------

If I'm remembering correctly it can also be nessus square dejanira and nessus retrograde acts as a magnet for abuse, which has certainly been my reality. I know in synastry mars sq dejanira works the same way. My nessus is retrograde in my first house sq karma in my 4rth and mars on my 7th cusp sq dejanira in my 4rth. Then I have chiron retrograde in the 11th which doesn't help. But I get abused a lot as per my taurus north node!In a man's chart mars or nessus hard aspect to dejanira I believe shows an abuser, and a victim conversely in the female chart. Looking back historically I've dated a lot of guys who have nessus or mars square my dejanira. For me it wasn't physical abuse, but very mental/emotional. I can remember being so out of it and my reality so contorted by the guy whose mars squared my dejanira, that I was about as cognizant as my 72 year old grandfather who was undergoing chemo with 7 months left to live. I lost about a year of my life. Sorry if that was too graphic, but don't mess around with those aspects in synastry. IP: Logged |

Well, Mochai,IQ told me that if it were in an Air sign,it would be mental abuse.
I suppose if it were in an earth sign ,it may be physical abuse .------------------

I will try to write what I know about Nessus and Deja.
Deja is the victim energy.So, you have to see where it is in your own chart and in synastry.
My Deja is next to my Aura asteroid.
IQ told me that I must hold myself in a strong and confident way so I don't get abused.
However, I have Pluto there, too.
Pluto exemplifies the saying" Talk softly but carry a big stick"
IOW, Pluto stands up for itself.

Well that explains the mars sq dejanira guy, it was aqua. My nessus retrograde is fire though. Chiron retrograde is also air. Dejanira is scorpio. Thanks for the info  IP: Logged |

Nessus is the energy of abuse where one person has no heart or feeling for another person.
It is the sense of "I will take what I want from you and I don't care at all what it does to you"
Nessus in hard aspect in the natal chart makes this energy prominent for the person. It does not mean the person WILL be an abuser . They could take this energy and use it to help abused people. However,it is a significant energy. In synastry, the person with the Nessus on the other person's planets could abuse the person in that area of life( i.e. that house) perhaps,or just in general.
However, it could be that the relationship will highlight the childhood abuse of the people .
In that case, the people could heal due to the Nessus/Deja relationship.

That sounds` like it is not a good place for Deja, at all.
That placement seems like you would be victimized and NOT be able to see it.
Have you been victimized in your life and not been able to see it?

Yes I have! It was a hard lesson to learn but as I have gotten older I am not so gullible & ALOT more cautious when it comes to men. I learned I can't save everyone and no one changes unless they really have it in themselves to do so. Plus I refuse to deal with any men with mommy & esteem issues & esp undercover misogynistic men. Hmmm....in synastry I have deja conjunct his moon & neptune his 10th. I have nessus retro in 2nd conjunct his saturn retro 4th house. His nessus is retro on ICIP: Logged |

Is a conjunction or opposition between Nessus and Dejanira in synastry most significant (like Eros=Psyche) in showing this dynamic?In one of my past relationships, we have lots of conjunctions/oppositions between Nessus and Dejanira and planets:
-His Sun conjunct my Dejanira (0)
-His Neptune opposite my Nessus (0)
-His NN conjunct my Nessus (1)
-His Dejanira conjunct my Chiron (2)
-His Nessus conjunct my Venus (1) This seems like a lot--we also have a lot of soft aspects at tight orbs with these asteroids (they are asteroids, right?) Would this mean that the relationship would cause pain, bring us into a painful dynamic? The asteroids are in fire and air (our Dejaniras in Aries, his Nessus in Leo, my Nessus in Gemini.) I have mars in capricorn...cap sun square libra pluto, gemini moon trine pluto. I read that moon trine pluto gives you the ability to overcome adversities even stronger. We can take a licking and keep on ticking...lolIP: Logged |

I think Nessus/Deja aspects are TNT.
They are so deeply gut wrenching, gut involving.
They are the stuff of which romances/ tragedies/ great passions are made of, I think.
