Ooh, I didn't see the extras in the additional table  I see that some share the same formula ... Time of Marriage + Part of Fortune. Knowledge whether true or false + Slaves. Anareta + Boldness, violence, murder. Necessity (Mercury) + Buying and selling.

Part of Spirit and Part of Fortune actually are the same, too.

....PON (necessity)don't believe I ever looked at that one, it is = to my MH @26 T also PON (Nemesis) is 29  Natal 3811 Karma is 10+ ..... there is a thread on AstroD about it-here thanks again ^edit

actually, i've read that part of spirit is the enemy of part of fortune.. fortune would be the physical body and the spirit, is unphysical.. would have to do a lot more reading on it.IP: Logged |

I wouldn`t say "enemy", it`s more kind of complimentary, like day and night for example.Actually one emphasises the Sun, the other the Moon, if I recall it right. IP: Logged |

Since it's old astrology, the writings on it are phrased in very black/white, evil/good fatalistic terms. They probably meant "enemies" as in opposites.IP: Logged |

well the fortune is of sun, moon and ascendant and i think the spirit subtracts one of those. spirit:

I recognize the reference to the Part of Spirit and Victory (Exaltation), but what is the Part of Basis? But if I interpret this correctly, if the degree of the PoF is used to establish a new Ascendant, then we need to look at the sign on the 10th house cusp. It would be especially significant if the ruler of the Part of Spirit, Victory, or Basis (?) were in that house or the 10th house from themselves and indicate possible fame or fortune. Incidentally, my POF is conjunct my Mercury/Pluto conjunction, and Pluto is conjunct Spica. Maybe I'll see that good fortune one day  Part of Spirit is exact conjunct my REIKI and DNA asteroids. They are all on 9' Cancer. Sabian = "A Large Diamond In The First Stages Of The Cutting Process" Part of Eros is appropriately placed in Scorpio in the 8th house along with Venus...move along, nothing to see there, LOL. Part of Necessity is exact conjunct my IC...that doesn't sound very favorable. Rob Hand refers to the Part of Necessity as relating to Mercury (which rules my IC) and it "signifies constraints, submissions, struggles, and wars, and makes enmities, hatreds, condemnations, all the other restrictive things befalling men as a result of their birth." The formula for Lot of Eros ( Venus point), as per Astrodienst is:Day Lot = Asc. + Ve - PS
Night Lot = Asc. + PS - Ve PS stands for Part of Spirit which they use in this formula to get Part of Eros. Paulus Alexandrinus (4thAC) - "Eros signifies the appetites and the voluntative desires. It becomes a contributing cause of friendship and mutual favor."-- However, Ancient Arabian Astrologers did not have a Part of Eros construct.
They used Part of Love: Asc + Venus - Sun and Part of Lovers: Mars + Venus - 5th house cusp Astrodienst asserts that Parts come from Egyptians, and that these additional Parts were found in Egyptian sources etc. I disagree, but whatever. IP: Logged |
