H'okay, Mercury is my only Air planet and Mars is my only Fire planet.

Mars is also far away from my general cluster, as is Saturn (which is one of many water planets). Are they considered singletons?

Well perhaps if you do some more research with other well known published authors like I have, you would have a broader perspective

My comments were not ment as insulting and I apologise if you took it that way. how is your mercury aspected? would you like to post your chart?

Perhaps, if I really wanted to. But I'm not so good at interps, unlike you.

SaggiMC,
I am very familiar with how my Mercury works and how my thoughts are processed and expressed. My thought processes are very internal and for the most part I express my conclusions and expect that others have already come to the same conclusion. I absorb and gather all information to process on my own and I get impatient and frustrated when people have to state the obvious, but have come to realize that people actually need to express their thoughts externally. I pick up on intonations, expressions and body language, sometimes more so than the words themselves. I could go on for awhile describing my Mercury because I do know it that well, but since you are so well informed you should be able to guess the position and maybe even some aspects of my Mercury from that description. For you to say that “What tends to happen with lack of air is what I call 'sweeping statement syndrome' with not enough thought behind speech....” is ridiculous and illustrates the lack of thought as to how you express yourself.

Edit: Ya, I was p1ssed at that comment and still am, but I'll let it go.

BUT with the caveat that I would THEN look to see how someone's mercury is aspected before claiming the sweeping statements. We have to look to see how the chart/person WILL make compensations......

AND I did say earlier in this thread,

quote:

Quite often singletons suggest also a lack in elemental balances, but before you this applies, make sure you look for planets in air/earth/water/fire houses that may help compensate..

If air element, look at mercury's aspects.

Why Mercury? Why not the ruler of my Sun, considering it's my Sun that's the air singleton?

I have two singletons, too.
Seems to be quite common?

Mars in air

and
Jupiter in fire

I wonder if most people overcompensate or suppress their singletons.

I think it depends!

For exemple, just discovered that I have an Mars singleton. I'm a girl, and acting in a Martian way is not very social acceptable, so I tend to suppress it, but when I was a kid I defnetly overcompensated!

It may also depends on the aspects, for exemple, I have Pluto double-time singleton (only in water sign and earth house), It aspects my sun, ascendant, DC, venus, mars, moon and neptune, so I overcompensate it. But I suppress my mercury (I talk very little) because it's almost unsapected.

Does having, for example, Pluto in Scorpio water singleton mean the person expresses this element in a Plutonic/Scorpionic manner? What if the sigleton and the sign it's in don't match that well? Like in case of Sagittarius Neptune.

I have one singleton, Neptune, and it does like to take over. Very prominent in my LIFE let alone my chart. I'm not planning on Jim Jonesing any time soon but I find his life fascinating. How did he ever get to that point?

I don't know the guy.

So...Would you say that you express your fire in a Neptunian way or that you express your Neptune in a fiery/Sagittarian way or...ehhh, how does it work?

When I think about it, it seems to me fire should give Neptune the drive to make his dreams come true.

Neptune is just on the verge of Sagittarius in my chart, but not quite in the sign. Very close though, so it's a water singleton and brings all the murky, sludgy water element into my life

Lucky me!

I try to deal the best I can, keep a good attitude about issues like fate.

But is your Pluto a singleton, Lianee?

SSS, where is your Neptune exactly? Maybe our singletons conjunct each other

tbh, You can't even imagine, but I love it. And I totally always had this thing that everyone else is pointing out on this. Every 3-4 years, my life is like totally different. I switched up on living in differenct countries (not from my choice, but still ), I have this weird periods when I cut connections with majority of my friends and totally replace them with new ones. And the ones more dramatic like violence/accident + my childhood was crappy as hell, never been close to my parents. I mean sometimes it was cool to hung out with my dad, because he treated me like his friend, but still he was totally emotionally detached, so I always tried to stick to my friends instead, so I didn't have to be at home for too long. I could rable on, but You get the drift, it's freaking hard to live with this thing haha, but after all it makes You a stronger person, so it's fine

I have a jupiter singleton. It's the only planet in a fire sign in my natal chart. It's in Leo, conjunct MC.
I think this is the aspect that makes me very positive and lets me think i can do anything. hehe.
