I was seriously depressed. (I'm usually a happy Saggie). I was actually cutting myself (first and last time)... withdrew from school, quit my job and just stayed away from people for a good 4-5 months. Oh, and I did go thru a huge breakup... with a person I was dating for 5 yrs. IP: Logged |

Thank you for sharing Racole. Do you think depression is typical of this transit? Are you back to your old self now? Do you think the breakup was a result of the transit, do you think it would have happened without it? IP: Logged |

I'm not sure... I have 5 points in Saggie and everytime Pluto ran over them it has caused serious depression. (even tho I did go thru a huge transformation) I'm not completely back to myself... but I don't think anybody goes back to normal after a pluto transit. The break-up needed to happen. We both cared about each other but we both wanted different things out of life. I don't know if pluto conj Sun caused this but the pluto transit triggered my Yod, which my Sun, Neptune, Uranus, Pluto and my Moon were involved. IP: Logged |

This transit is interesing and scary at the same time. To have Pluto take a sledgehammer to my sun. Lucky for me I'll be in my 50's before I have it. I've had the square but I was 4-5 y/o so I don't expect that effected me in the way it would now if I were to have that transit. I feel that Pluto would make you give up parts of you ego. You would be very different coming out of this transit. What Pluto gives back to you in return would depend on sign/house and the person. For some, yes you will get depressed. Pluto takes you to the underworld. You need to see things from there and have that experience in order for Pluto to get his point across to you. ------------------ He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. My Sun's at 5 degrees Capricorn. Pluto's now at 6. Nothing majorly depressing has happened. I do feel as if life is transforming, like possibly I'm ramping up for something better, but that's partly due to what I've already gotten past (which I would call cleaning up my parent's karma, though I'm not sure that was ever my responsibility). My own Pluto is at 4 degrees Libra as well, so I get Pluto square Pluto in addition to the conjunction to my Sun. AG- I feel that you can handle the energy easier b/c you already have the Sun square Pluto in your natal... I think it depends on how comfortable you are with that energy. Pluto was hard on me... but Neptune and Uranus are like a walk in the park but I understand their energy already IP: Logged |

I find this to be very true, as I was born as, naturally, veeeery egotistical person...as the time passes, and Pluto goes over my planets, I let go of my ego...
Pluto went over my Venus, Saturn, Uranus, and now it's transiting Neptune...it's getting very close to Mercury & Sun...To be honest, I am scared...Yeah, I was more or less depressed my whole life, there were calm and somewhat joyful periods, but there was hell too, especially Pluto transiting my 8th house Saturn, I literally just wanted to die, not exist, I had no will for anything...it was dreadfull... Also, transiting Saturn slowly approaches my Pluto so there will be a double hell very soon... IP: Logged |

I can relate to this. When I experienced it I was going thru Transit Pluto conj DSC and Mars, Plus Prog Sun square Natal Pluto, WITH my Prog sun just entering my 8th house... It has let up some since the transit and Prog Sun to Natal Pluto aspects are out out of orb now but I have a while in the 8th house, which I need to learn the accept the feeling and just learn and be aware of what the 8th house has to teach me. So, watch out for those hard aspects from Natal Pluto to Prog planets and the 8th house as well! IP: Logged |

How were those transits like...I have 5 plants in Capricorn... I can say I'm apprehensive about my Saturn return/tPluto cj Venus/Saturn. But the rest I sort of look forward to. I've had the depression for 7 years. I have to let it go through my saturn square... As for tSaturn cj Pluto. Remember Saturn is exalted in Libra. I'm really quite apathetic towards this since saturn (in scorpio) will be sextiling all my Cap so I'll be having saturn sextile saturn... ------------------ He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. As for tPluto cj Sun this is what happend to my Mum's parents...Gran - Sun in Libra... My mother married my father (my mum's moon is cj my gran's sun) Pop - Sun in Scorpio... My gran lost her battle with bowel cancer, the secret that he had a first marriage with children is also exposed to my mother, I have a sneaking suspicion he had Pisces rising... Oh and my Mother is Sun cj Pluto Natally... Some of her friends say she scares people because she is confident, successful and self assured, but then she's getting a trine from pluto in cap at the moment. ------------------ He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. GRandfather Died Quit smoking cigarettes - among other things Became super willed, strong will pwer increased two fold Energy to work out longer, but not as intensely - i.e. not a meat head but rather working out in a non ego way - training mostly just to funnction...Learned astrology further Completely stopped hanging out with douchebags Restored faith in God Made life harder, but better if I went with it Became a sacred activist Learned to harness the power of sexual energy - 8th house sun, pluto in scorpio in the 6th to further my bodily needs went to jail for three nights on christmas, sucked, but needed to happen.... Had alot of people gunning for me subconciously trying to pull me back - mostly people with a karmic connection left all that garbage now i'm heading towards the north node, and doing it 7 years before the saturn return(rare) discovered I have the energy to do everything I want Discovered I can only do what is altruistic - therefore transformed what I want by combining the sacred fires of my passion, with teh sacred fires of humanity. Became my true self again, as i was before college. Thank you. IP: Logged |

You could be right. Not only do I have Sun square Pluto, but my Moon's conjunct Pluto, so it's pretty well integrated. Not long ago I came off the Saturn conjunct Moon/square Sun transit as well. I have a challenging chart (very similar in looks to yours, racole). Maybe I'm just accustomed to bad transits. Philosophically I try to stay pretty zen. IP: Logged |

About a year ago I experienced the first hit of Pluto square Sun (as well as neptune and Chiron oppose Venus)...a MAJOR dark night of the soul. More depressed than I've ever been, but also just feeling crazy and out of control. I would cry for hours and hours (for months) and have semi panic attacks (which was odd because in the years before I was so happy and thought that I "got it" spiritually and mentally - haha! Pluto taught me otherwise...) I had major problems with a relationship and problems at work. I ended up being basically forced to quit my job. It felt bad at the time because my confidence took a hit, but I hated the job and 3 months later got the job I have know which I LOVE and know it all worked out. This may not sound bad but at the time I wanted to die. I thought about suicide all the time, though I don't *think* I was serious. Sometimes I felt like I couldn't function and I was so scared because I didn't know what was happening to me. Everyone around me was at a loss to help. I just had Pluto square my Sun again around Christmas and it was totally different. Basically seeing clearly and getting my life back. I haven't been this happy in years. Finally starting to get guidance and feeling like I know where I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to be doing. It's been amazing. But I must admit, I'm still healing from a year of craziness like I'd never known...sometimes I thought I literally wouldn't make it. I can't even say it's over...2 more Pluto hits this year. It's humbled me for the better and made me have more compassion for others and more wisdom in general. It makes where I'm at now all the sweeter. I feel 5 or 10 years older from a year ago...I don't know if that's good or bad! I also had transiting Saturn conjunct my Sun this year but it was actually good for me, wasn't difficult at all. My boyfriend or I should say ex-boyfriend (since this morning) is going through this transit. It hit in December 2010, and he's suddenly "changed". He wants to do his own thing a lot now, and even if he's sitting right next to me, it feels like he disappears into himself. We had been fighting more these past two months, and things between us had been getting shaky. Finally, last week, he said he didn't think it was going to work out and moved out. But after one day, he came back and told me he wanted to get back together. We went on a little trip, and were good again, and had been living together again for a week. Then we had a little fight this morning and he broke it off for good. He is packing his things as I'm typing this from work. I was worried about this transit, and how it would manifest in him. Now I know. I'm also going through a Transit Saturn conjunct natal pluto, and a transit pluto trine natal saturn. Double hit. We are both being hit hard with Pluto right now, and I'm so devastated that we weren't able to hold our relationship together, especially because I felt in my heart that he was the one. I've read all the websites that say that anything or any relationships that are lost during these transits are because they were superficial, and baggage I didn't need. But I don't feel like this was superficial. I love him deeply with all my heart, and my insides are are exploding, and all I can do is to do nothing. He is my best friend, and i don't know how to not have him in my life. This wasn't superficial, why is Pluto taking it away?

GemGemGem, it sounds like he has very mixed feelings about ending the relationship. With Pluto on his Sun, he may feel a strong need to transform in all areas of his life. I wish he was together enough to talk to you about it instead of just moving out and/or fighting.(I've had tSaturn conjunct my Pluto and tPluto conjunct my ASC, square my Saturn--a relationship I cared a lot about ended.) I hope there is an upside to this--that Pluto transits cause people to go very deep, and if they come back to a relationship, it's at a deeper level. If you want the same things out of your future, he'll find his way back to you. But Pluto is in a very Capricorn!!! place...it might be that he feels the relationship and his vision of his future lifepath aren't headed in the same direction. What house is his Sun in? Do you have a right birthtime for him? Pluto on the Sun makes the person feel an urgent need to transform in the direction of their Sun. IP: Logged |

Hi Lucia, Thank you for replying. I am such a pathetic mess right now. I almost forgot how bad heartbreak feels. Almost. He tells me he loves me so deeply in his heart and doesn't want to leave but something inside him is just telling him he has to go. He is adopted so we don't know his exact birthtime but I've made a logical guess based on different factors making his Asc in Leo. This puts his Capricorn sun in his 5th House. What would this mean, that his relationships are getting overhauled? Also he has Pluto squared sun by 2 degrees natally so wouldn't he be familiar with this energy? IP: Logged |

Hi!Just wanna ask if this applied to any hard Pluto-Sun transit as well? Coz right now Im dealing with 3 oppositions from Pluto transiting my natal Sun, Mercury and Mars. And let me tell you, they are really hard one for me... IP: Logged |
