Lol explains why I find the odd, the weird, the awkward, the insane, so funny.
I think it might also contribute to my Sag placements maybe.. when people tell bad jokes (not the dirty ones), bad as in, not really funny. I dunno why.. I just find 'em hilarious lol. ------------------ “If malice or envy were tangible and had a shape, it would be the shape of a boomerang.” — Charley Reese

My Jupiter is Virgo but ahm, no. Put it this way I liked Andrew Dice Clay, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, George Carlin in their hey days and I grew up loving the original Saturday Night Live.

Jupiter in Taurus....but no. I don't really care what kind of joke it is, as long as the punchline and the timing is perfect. That's probably more reflective of sun, moon, and venus, if anything. IP: Logged |

jupiter in virgo, i like jokes that are not vulgar or nasty, that is true. but i dont see the thing with the nurses and doctor. never beeing atracted to this particular jobs.but related to daily work situation, i can relate to that, but also other signs. things related to ego games, sarcasm, anyway, my favorite characer is "CHANDLER" from the sitcom FRIENDS. his sense of humor was my type. but situations in which normally ROSS was involved for being selfish and picky, super funny. That's where my Jupiter is, but these aren't my style. I have Craig Ferguson's chart, whom I like. His Jupiter is at 9 degrees Pisces. That would sextile mine. He also has an Earth Sun and Gemini Rising like me. The humor is really just cleverness, suggestiveness, and a little sexuality. IP: Logged |

Yes I definitely like to talk about mis-communication or weird incidents with my siblings or parents, but considering my Mercury is in the 8th I like to joke about satanists or random weirdos I see on the streets... I also gossip about my co-workers too much, Jupiter is in 6th H after all. IP: Logged |

Not for me. I have Jupiter in Leo, but I like Jupiter in Gemini's description best.I find the funniest jokes are when people miscommunicate. My Jupiter is rx, so maybe that's why? And I always tell the punchline of a joke first, or screw it up. I like George Carlin, Kat Williams, and Gallagher. IP: Logged |

Great thread. I'm not totally into Arian Jupiter's humor! I don't care for especially crude/sexual humor -it has to be mild or 'tastefully' done for me. Although I can get a few laughs out of the 'shock factor' sexual humor-type movies it kind of pains me lol. I do enjoy comparison humor, though. I love the movie 'The Ugly Truth'. The times I am most able to tolerate sexual humor is with actors like Michael Cera (love him!) and Seth Rogen. I googled and Cera's a Gemini that seems to have alot of Piscean and Geminine influence in his chart as well as a supposed Aries AC. They have his Moon as in Pisces as well, however his birth time is set as unknown and so it IS possible that he could have an Aries Moon and a different AC. If this is close to his real chart, then we have the exact same House Cusps. Rogen IS an Aries. His is also an unknown birth time with a supposed Aries AC. He also has Mercury in Aries. Funny enough he has a Pisces Venus. Maybe that's why I can handle their humor better, they both have Piscean influence. Me: Sun in Pisces AC in Aries Jupiter in Aries It is significant that I seem to find Gemini Men funny, though. I'm not sure why. Maybe my third house cusp in Gemini? That and Chiron in Gemini are the only things I have with Gemini in my entire chart. Along with Cera, there's a guy in my photography class that totally gets my humor, as well as Johnny Depp and Mark Wahlberg -all Gems. Hey I just googled Johnny and he actually had Jupiter in Aries! He also has Neptune in Pisces(his birth time IS known)as is Wahlberg's with his Midheaven in Aries (and he also has alot of water influence). ------------------ "You may say that I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one..." Jupiter in Libra. I HATE romantic comedies...with a passion.
Everyone tells me I'm a tough critic in the humour department. What I do find funny is dark, sarcastic, witty lines. Think the character Lester Burnham in "American Beauty." I find often times, people (in real life) who make such remarks do it not because they're trying to be funny. They're just being sarcastic but their choice of words, along with delivery & timing makes it funny. IP: Logged |

Absolutely YESJupiter Scorpio and I love dark humor, if it's taking death or disease or something horrid and making a joke out of that I'm all for it. I love the show Dexter for example, so intriguing and at the same time hilarious. Gemini might like Laurel & Hardy for example. IP: Logged |

Larry David has Capricorn Moon right?! I have the same and I loved Curb Your Enthusiasm cos I could see so much of myself in him, I bet that show had a huge Capricorn following. IP: Logged |

Totally with you on this! Larry Craig...I saw a few episodes, and couldn't say I have much of an impression of it, so for me as a Capricorn, I don't know that his show is my thing. I do love to be entertained, though, and also entertaining via improv. IP: Logged |

Mine is in Cancer but I never joke about my family. I always joke around with sex though. I REALLY get into it. Then I start realising, hey this started out as a joke, now I am kinda hot for it. Like one Christmas, I had this brilliant role play idea..it involved a bad bad skanky elf who was trying to hold up Christmas..so it required Santa to discipline this naughty elf with a glittery paddle outlined in christmas bells...ect ect..(you get the point) The guy I was dating said, "Christine, I can't describe your humour. But it's definitely creative and something else." I feel like nothing about cancer would strike me as funny. Or even fun to talk about. I think someone else above said they felt cancer didn't fit them either. IP: Logged |

I was just thinking about the movies that make me laugh and the top of the list has to be There's Something About Mary. I have never laughed so hard in my life seeing a movie before. The Brady Bunch Movie is another favorite. It's just so stupid but so brilliant-same with The Jerk. Scary Movie 2, Hot Shots Part Deux were some others. And the Mockumentaries. This is Spinal tap is gold. A Mighty Wind, Waiting for Guffman and others I can't think of. I really like parody and so stupid it's funny when it comes to movies and ironically don't like things like Porkies. But for my stand up I like a hard edge.IP: Logged |
