I've recently discovered the extra depth chinese astrology provides in my understanding of people and my relationship with them. What are your experiences with the signs? Is what websites usually say of your compatibility true in your experience? Asiaflash.com has great interpretations of compatibility and well, you can always just type it into google as well ^__^ Asiaflash.com or Astrologizeme.com which is the english version also has a section where it tells you the top two best matches for you as a man or woman in both chinese and western combined. I'm a cancer snake woman It says the best matches for me are first a Dragon man, and second a Rooster man. Not coincidentally, those have been the signs of my only two boyfriends lol. Virgo rooster and Aries dragon---two drastically different people, as should be obvious by the fact that a virgo is double virgo-like as a rooster, and an aries is double arieslike as a dragon. Third in compatibility rankings is the Goat man, but even though I've had a crush on more than 3 of these guys, it has never gotten off the ground maybe because neither of us will take the lead. It says taurus and leo are my best matches, and though i agree with leo i strongly disagree with taurus---probably because all the leo in my chart that helps me get along with leos, makes me clash with tauruses Dragon- it's true, we fit together like two pieces of a puzzle and i absolutely agree that it is the best match, at least for this snake. If i want life to be exciting i either go for a dragon or a snake(bad idea with another one of me), and on the rare occasion, a rabbit. But the dragon is far more compatible with me than either of those two with both of their critical and somewhat controlling natures. My best friend is a leo dragon, and I feel like I've found my soulmate. I also think an aries dragon is my perfect match. Cancer snake is the most feminine out there probably and that fits well with probably the most masculine out there, an Aries dragon, while the snake and dragon have many similarities and totally understand each other.

I love Chinese astrology and wish I was more knowledgeable about it. I was born in the year of the sheep and I related to some of the traits associated with it, but always felt something was missing. Then I find out that I was born on the day of the Dragon, and EVERYTHING made sense. IP: Logged |

There isn't too much online. But this is from a book by Neil Somerville: Your Chinese Horoscope 2005 Your Ascendant:
11 pm - 1 am = The hours of the Rat The Rat ascendant is likely to make the sign more outgoing, sociable and careful with money. A particularly beneficial influence for those born under the sign of the Rabbit, Horse, Monkey, and Pig. 1 am - 3 am = The hours of the Ox The Ox ascendant has a restraining, cautionary and steadying influence which many signs will benefit from. This ascendant also promotes self-confidence and willpower and is especially good for those born under the signs of the Tiger, Rabbit and Goat. 3 am - 5 am = The hours of the Tiger The Tiger ascendant is a dynamic and stirring influence which makes the sign more outgoing, action-oriented and impulsive. A generally favourable ascendant for the Ox, Tiger, Snake and horse. 5 am - 7 am = The hours of the Rabbit The Rabbit ascendant has a moderating influence, making the sign more reflective, serene and discreet. A particularly beneficial influence for the Rat, Dragon, Monkey and Rooster. 7 am - 9 am = The hours of the Dragon The Dragon ascendant gives strength, determination and ambition to the sign. A favourable influence for those born under the signs of the Rabbit, Goat, Monkey and Dog. 9 am - 11 am = The hours of the Snake The Snake ascendant can make the sign more reflective, intuitive and self-reliant. A good influence for the Tiger, Goat and Pig. 11 am - 1 pm = The hours of the Horse The Horse ascendant will make the sign more adventurous, daring and on some occasions fickle. Generally a beneficial influence for the Rabbit, Snake, Dog and Pig. 1 pm - 3 pm = The hours of the Goat The Goat ascendant will make the sign more tolerant, easy-going and receptive. It could also impart some creative and artistic qualities to the sign. An especially good influence for the Ox, Dragon, Snake and Rooster. 3 pm - 5 pm = The hours of the Monkey The Monkey ascendant is likely to impart a delicious sense of humour and fun to the sign. It will make the sign more enterprising and outgoing - a particularly good influence for the Rat, Ox, Snake and Goat. 5 pm - 7 pm = The hours of the Rooster The Rooster ascendant helps to give the sign a lively, outgoing and very methodical manner. Its influence will increase efficiency and is good for the Ox, Tiger, Rabbit and Horse. 7 pm - 9 pm = The hours of the Dog The Dog ascendant makes the sign more reasonable and fair-minded as well as giving an added sense of loyalty. A very good ascendant for the Tiger, Dragon and Goat. 9 pm - 11 pm = The hours of the Pig The Pig ascendant can make the sign more sociable, content and self-indulgent. It is also a caring influence and one which makes the sign want to help others. A good ascendant for the Dragon and Monkey. I'm a wood Oxen, born in the hour of the Ox. Oxens are equivalent to Capricorns, so I can't say it doesn't sound like me since I have Cap IC, Moon in 10th, Saturn conj Merc, Venus, Sun, and trine Moon.
I'll put in a bit more later. Hope everyone has a good weekend. ------------------ “If malice or envy were tangible and had a shape, it would be the shape of a boomerang.” — Charley Reese

I'm a metal monkey!I love it! I enjoy playing jokes on my friends and family, making any dessert that has bananas or cinnamon in it. I like to flirt...ONLY if I am single. August always seems to be the best month of every year for me; and I have a thing about my HAIR. Eventhough I'm about to chop it all off. I long to meet a DRAGON! that's supposed to be my soulmate match. IP: Logged |

Here is what I know about Chinese compatibility. The signs that make a Yin Yang (Harmony) Rat(yin) and Ox (Yang) Tiger and Rabbit Dragon and Snake Horse and Sheep Monkey and Roster Dog and Pig Signs that have a trine and are compatible too Rat, Dragon and Monkey Ox, Snake and Roster Tiger, Horse and Dog Rabbit, Sheep and Pig And then there are signs that opose eachother and are considered to be not compatible (maybe an atraction at first though) Rat and Horse Ox and Sheep Tiger and Monkey Rabbit and Roster Dragon and Dog Snake and Pig IP: Logged |

My partner and I fall in the 'not compatible' bracket in Chinese Astrology. However, in Western Astrology our signs are one of the most compatible pairings. Which will prevail?IP: Logged |

Also the elements have to do with compatibility too. I've read that earth and fire are good together. So are water and wood And wood and fire Metal and Earth Metal and Water And same element I don't recall reading anything about that. Okay now, I've read that these elements are destructive to each other... Metal and Wood (metal can cut wood) Earth and Water (I forgot the explaination) And I guess fire doesn't have one... .... but I did read once that Fire can control metal. (like bend it and shape it and stuff) My sis is month of Fire Roster and I am month of Metal Dragon and she use to seem like such a control freak sometimes! My sis doesn't do this to me now, I'd say. But when she acts like she is making a suggestion...that really means, you better do it now! Also my dad is born year of the fire roster, and I'm year of the metal horse. He kinda does the same thing. Except it's not comming from a psycho place like my big sis. Like my dad has every right to suggests that I do the dishes once in a while. Which he has every right to, since I moved back in and I'm 20. He really doesn't ask for much. I use dishes as an example because he SUGGESTED that I make the burgers for dinner. While I am trying to do this. And then while I was about to do that he also SUGGESTED that I wash the dishes. Though I'm not the most disciplined daughter there is. (especially in my teens) I don't mind. I also read for roster parents that if they have a child born in horse that they will be very independent from roster parent. Also my dad and sis are both Libra Suns. I really don't ask my dad for too much. Really only this "hey dad, can I barrow a ciggarette" "will you give it back when your done" "yez" That is like our lame joke thing that we do. Anyways gotta get back to making some burgers! See ya lindalanders IP: Logged |

Lonake. Isn't it cool? I'm glad. What is ur sign btwThell- did you check the compatibility between your signs in astrologizeme.com? Yes, of course, very few things are fatalistic. I am good friends with an aries pig, I am a cancer snake...that's two square signs. Imagine that! He is wonderful, though, such a great friend. But if I were to be in a relationship with him, yes all that stuff that Master Rao says would happen would be true. Yes, I am a snake and I love spending money on clothes and accessories (yet I'm a cancer so I always find good bargains though my libra cousin totally beats me at that, and spend isnt really the word, it's more like buy a few items every 5 years lmao. But i do love that and am pretty vain and it says pigs would have a problem with that.) And yes, I love a hectic social life and couldnt stand staying indoors. It also says he'd have a problem with that. I think that he probably would, honestly. He doesnt seem much like the outgoing or show-offy type at all even though he's an aries. He does do traveling and yes he is totally independent like the typical aries, but I'm saying he doesnt seem like the type to want to go out and show off how good he looks or how charming he can be or what nice arm candy he has, which is what I'm into lol. I know a gemini pig for example. And he is a big showoff and I would say much more vain than I am, so it's not like all pigs are like that. But he is very critical and moody, and I feel like if we ever went out he'd have me locked up in his house---he is the stay silent in the corner type, and when he or other pigs I know do talk it seems like they dont really know how to act properly in social situations. Stawr, that's funny lolol "can i use it when ur done." Also, my dad would always tell me i would grow up to be a burger flipper (oh, how endearing aries monkeys are) as a joke....I couldnt imagine actually being a burger flipper....for him...in his house. Grrr...lol. IP: Logged |

Any dragons out there? I would like to know what dragon guys think of Snake women. I read last night that Rat woman and Dragon man are the perfect match and I've grown quite jealous lol. I thought it was all about the Snake woman and Dragon man. Grr lol. Also it says monkey woman and dragon man are really well matched. Any dragon guys out there want to share their opinion on if a rat or monkey woman would actually be a better match for them than a snake? Edit: Lol i just realized that the monkey and rat are the trine signs to the dragon. I guess that makes it less of a big deal, but still lol. IP: Logged |

Chinese astrology doesn't take into consideration the location of your birth. Because of that it's not as accurate as western astrology. Chinese astrology is also much more fatalistic than western astrology. IP: Logged |

I'm looking at my chinese birth chart and it looks like your element that goes along with your signs...can make the element in your sign male or female. Though I prefer the label masculine and feminine. Pretty much if your sign is a yang(rat, tiger, dragon, horse, monkey, dog) that makes your element male. And if you signs is yin(ox, rabbit, snake, sheep, roster, pig) you element is female. I forgot to mention that I recently read that male metal and female wood have an attraction to eachother. I'm a male metal horse even though I'm a woman. I was in a relationship with a female wood ox...and Yes he is a he!...cause I swing that way. haha That's why I hate that label. But here is a link where you can check out your natal Chinease chart animals(for day, month, year and hour) and elements that go with it, and see what I mean. http://chinesehoroscopeonline.com/Chinesehoroscope.htm IP: Logged |
