DysfunctionalMys,

It is also the house of personal, psychological, spiritual regeneration - ruled by Scorpio and Pluto which indicates a death and rebirth.

It's my understanding that the 4th house represents the end of (the personal) life and not the 8th

Pluto squared very interesting. Keep digging

*8th is death, transition, change, manner of death, change in state of being (alive -> dead) and such morbid matters.

4th, actually I.C specifically, is end of life in a more general sense, as in your retirement, grave site, period of life at the closure of your life - not death with a capital D. Certainly 4th is not an instrument of death, like the 8th is classically thought to be.

PlutoSquared, on the day Linda passed over, the chart with Leo Ascendant has Saturn (planet of death) in the 8th. And the ruler of 8th Neptune is quincunx the Ascendant. Also it squares the Sun (health center of the horoscope)

The quincunx has been noticed frequently in death charts.

The Aries chart places both her chart ruler (and key player) Mars and her 8th Ruler Pluto through transit into her 8th. 1st and 8th rulers conjunct in 8ths is a pretty good indication of some changes.

Pluto at 29 Scor also squared exactly her part of death at 29 Tau.

Linda died due to complication of diabetes.

Aries rising gives her moon in Libra in the 6th, with the 6th ruler Mercury in Taurus in the first. Kidneys/Blood sugar regulation/digestion is very moon/libra, and couple that with her venus-jupiter aspect can be taken as an indication of potential susceptibility to diabetes.

Both sun and NN would have just finished transiting her 6th house of health shortly before she died.

Her Progressed ASc was conjunct her natal Pluto(8th ruler).

Her solar return is also very interesting for this year:

ASc ruler Uranus conjunct Neptune in 12th opposite Moon in the 6th (Moon is also 6th ruler).

Uranus at 0 deg and Pluto at 0deg.

Linda, whose birth name was Mary Alice Kemery, often wrote that she was born during a thunderstorm on an April day in an unspecified year. Hers was a home birth, and Linda distrusted her family's official version of the event. She believed, according to slightly veiled references in Gooberz, that she was born not in her parents' hometown of Parkersburg, but instead in a house on Kingwood Street in Morgantown, where her maternal grandparents and an aunt lived.

Although Linda never revealed the full contents of her own birth chart publicly, a chart cast for around 8:23 a.m. on April 9, 1925, in Morgantown, West Virginia, matches all the aspects she did reveal about her natal chart and the circumstances she believed about her birth.

What reason would she have for not trusting her family version of her birth? I'm guessing astrology was not all the rage then. Even a different birthplace.

Not sure why this is not letting me edit. The old link that was posted here is no longer active. In some reorganizing of my site a couple years ago I took the Linda Goodman page down.

However, for the record her correct chart (best I can determine from several events not including marriage dates) has the Asc 9*26' Aries. I have no doubts of this chart as I have reconfirmed it just now (from two years ago).

That being said, I do see a cat in her Meow! She has a very cool photo of herself on her books. I always thought it was great, now I see a lioness in reclining pose

Same. My real name and pic would not be on it. Lol.
