I'm with you here, JFK. They don't have to polarities but they have to at least work. I'm Pisces Sun, Cancer Ascendant, with an Aries Moon. I end up being too blunt for a lot of the folks I attract and hurting their feelings. I come across all sensitive and junk but inside I'm a shark.

quote: Emotions are a physical reaction to a thought or an idea. A situation occurs where circumstances are unfair. You believe it is unfair but you can feel okay with it possibly because neither person got a raw deal. Also, if they're the same thing, then why work so hard to keep them separate? Finally, if they're the same thing, then why is there two different words for them in every single language?
I don't work that hard to keep emotions separate from my thoughts. Like, the way I feel about something is mostly based on what I think of it. I can reason it out. I can sit back and say "well I feel this way because x, y and z." I have an air (Libra) Moon, too. Frankly, I think it's a bit of a talent (I do have Moon trine Mercury*) to be able to figure out why I feel a certain way. A lot of people I know just feel feel feel and don't ever sit back and think to figure out why they feel the way they do in order to rectify the situation. Emotions and thoughts are not exactly the same thing. I would say that an emotion is a type of thought, which is why there are two words for it. But my emotions do come from my thoughts, and that's how "we" (air people) tend to operate. There's not always repression involved. *And more to the aspects thing, I think my emotions are easy to handle because my Sun/Mercury and Moon are all in harmonious signs. IP: Logged |

I completely feel you on that, and I'm the exact same way, as is one of my good friends that's a Libra moon. I think a Sagittarius moon is also capable of this given that I've known 3 of them and I always felt we were on the same wave length when it came to that.

I like quincunx's. I have strong Scorpio and strong Gemini. Now,that I know that,I can try to make a unique blend of them. I find it a challenge but I like the challenge cuz when I manage to blend them I feel like I am a unique person. You're a great writer...The first part about the Cancer is spot-on.-Taurus Sun, Scorpio Moon, Cancer Rising, who loves Aquarians...My MC and Mars are in Aquarius. I'm physically attracted to these people and I can relate to their need to be different. IP: Logged |

Why, thank you TrueTaurus. I'm flattered. I would hope at least the Cancer would be spot on since I have it in my chart. The only Aquarius I have is in my 9th. There's just something about Aquarius that does it for me. Just to paint a more well-rounded picture, however, he was an Aquarius Sun, Pisces Moon, with a Scorpio Ascendant. In every relationship I've ever had Scorpio is involved someway, somehow. I think there's a Scorpio shaped hole in my soul. I just can't do them head-on. My first ex was a Scorpio Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Mars with a Sagittarius Ascendant. Whoo! IP: Logged |
