Thank you, Linda. I think I've gone through pretty much every site I can find that has information on this transit (at least the ones that come up from google). I am hoping that a few people might be willing to respond with personal experiences, or how they've seen this transit manifest for others. Thank you for responding! IP: Logged |

The internet is ok for info but if you're serious you need to get yourself some books, Robert Hand's Planets in transit is good..it's the info used on the astro.com site. Getting a better understanding of the energies will also help you work out what each transit means. The CPA in london have published some good books and Stephen Forest, Bil Tierney have both done stuff on transits of the planets. IP: Logged |

Thank you so much, Mystic. I am supposing that you're probably right about that. I've been looking for that book in book stores for a while, but I may have to order it online. I've found a few good sites where people have shared detailed accounts of what they went through during their Pluto square Pluto transit, but just not so much on the Pluto/Saturn opposition transit, and I feel kind of panicky about all these Pluto transits coming my way right now. Your responses are greatly appreciated. IP: Logged |

A testing of your boundaries...and a chance to ponder constructively at what's happening in your life and relationships. Personally I think that it's conjunctions that herald endings and/or new beginnings...squares that trigger events that really shake or move us...and oppositions that force us to look at things that we are blind to, particularly our role and contributions to a problematic situation .......Think of it like.. a half-way point. So Pluto is opposing your Saturn... Psychological blocks might impede on progress in relationships and work. It's the signs that give us clues as to how this can be addressed.... I take it then that your Saturn is in Cancer...so aspects of nurturing, of mothering, emotional expression, emotional ties and intimacy, versus career, social standing, ambitions, and are likely to experience psychological testing. A readjustment and rebalancing of your emotional self versus your public self. Take extra time to care for yourself, to mother yourself and look at your emotional boundaries...Are they specific and healthy or are they rigid and stifling you? IP: Logged |

Quinnie, your insightful response would seem to be right on; thank you for taking the time to post.I met my husband a few years ago, just before Pluto squared my natal Venus, and it took me a while to really be okay with the emotional security that he offered, as that's pretty new for me. I am currently expecting a baby any day, and we have moved from a very progressive city to a small, rural town. I have gone from being a workaholic in the mental health field to a stay at home soon-to-be mom (Saturn is currently squaring my natal Saturn by exact degree). Thank you all for giving me food for thought. IP: Logged |

Oh...just for the sake of clarification, Pluto is just now on its way to opposing my natal Saturn. I do indeed have Saturn in Cancer at 12 degrees, Pluto in Libra at 8 degrees, and Mars in Capricorn at 26 degrees. Mars is in my 6th house of work and health. When Pluto squares my natal Mars in 2018, my son will only be seven years old, and this worries me quite a bit, as it does seem to indicate that I will, at the very least, develop some serious health issues.

look at the house the transited planet (saturn) rules. where is capricorn? this will be the area of life where the boundaries, structures and other issues quinnie mentioned will be highlighted.also check the natal position of the transiting planet (pluto). this will tell what area of your life will do the transforming... the house that saturn rules will tell you what area of life will be transformed. ------------------ my blog IP: Logged |

Very interesting, electicmind (and thank you). So, Saturn is technically right at the end of my 11th house, and Pluto is in my 3rd house. Since Saturn is just a few degrees away from my 12th house, does that mean that this influence will affect 12th house issues? I could be mistaken, but that just doesn't sound pleasant (even less enjoyable than the transit itself). IP: Logged |

what house has capricorn on the cusp? that is the house saturn rules and the are of life that will be transformed. I'm assuming that its the 6th house.scorpio is on the 4th house cusp? that is the house that pluto rules. so you have basically home issues of belonging family and maybe even your house or living situation transforming and changing your sense of boundaries and structures in your health, work and daily routine. ------------------ my blog IP: Logged |

Thank you! Yes, you are correct about the houses, and of course that all makes sense.Astrology becomes so much more detailed the more I learn about it, it can be somewhat confusing as to what houses to look at with transits, etc. So...I want to make sure that I understand this... In my particular case, Saturn is the ruler of the 6th house, because that is where Capricorn is in my chart, and likewise with Pluto and the 4th house? If I'm not getting that correctly, I apologize. All of the information that is being offered here is tremendously appreciated! IP: Logged |

You know, I was just searching through the internet to find more information about this transit, and came across my own post. Ha.I'm realizing that this won't really hit me until around 2014, and it will be retrograde for a lot of that time, perching for months directly on my natal Saturn. I also realized that Pluto will be transiting through my fifth house at that time, not my sixth, although it will be close. My husband and I bought a home a few months ago, and as Saturn is currently transiting my fourth house, and periodically meeting up with Uranus (in my fourth house), I'm still wondering about other people's experiences with the Pluto opposition Saturn transit. There have been a lot of strains in my relationship lately, and I've had to go back to work in order to regain some financial independence. I am entering into a new branch of my field. My son is now almost two years old, and as Pluto will be transiting my fifth house (I bought Planets in Transit by Robert Hand), I am a bit concerned about his health/safety, our financial and marital stability, etc. Does anyone have experiences or interpretations that they would like to share? If so, I would really appreciate it. IP: Logged |

Pluto transit opposite natal Saturn happened for me surrounding my last 2 years of high school and graduation, and my entry into the work force. Its a time of challenges relating to how societal and social dynamics affect our 'reality structure' and our ability to let some things go that our not within our capacity or that are just not appropriate for our abilities or life aims. For some it may be a time of failures to reveal the necessary limits to what you can do with the limited time/capacity of an individual, and the limits of your learning and development thus far. It can test control vs power, that is controls in outward situational matters vs what is needed for personal empowerment. In my case, the greatest need was to recognize better the limits of my body and health and to start learning about that and empowering myself with a better understanding of what was working deeper inside me. People will have very different experiences of this transit, depending on what phase of life they are in. ------------------ Astrology & natural medicine blog: 3D full sky astrology with declinations Complete Rising Sign descriptions IP: Logged |

Jeez. I was too lazy to go rummaging around for my copy of Planets In Transit, so I googled "Planets In Transit Pluto Opposition to Saturn", and this thread popped up again, lol. This transit sucks. My Saturn is square my husband's Uranus by about two degrees, and square my son's Saturn by 1 degree, so every time this transit comes around, it never brings anything good. Disruptions, discord, and my husband starts acting like a neanderthal for the duration, so we all just sort of have to deal with his meltdowns and other bizarre disruptions, usually having to do with our home (I guess maybe that's because Pluto is Ruler of my 4th house, or because my husband's Uranus is conjunct his MC or something, I don't know). Anyway, it's backing up to oppose my Saturn exact again, which is incredibly restricting already (and there is WAY too much going on at once). Blechchhh. I'm sure you'll be fine. What I started to add here, and then somehow edited out, is that the key really does seem to be to LET GO. Let go of whatever it is that Pluto is going to make you let go of, whether it's money, stuff, a way of going about life, or whatever. Pluto is going to come in and take whatever feels comfortable but isn't helping you to grow, so it's easier to just let that happen and go on about your business when he moves a little bit to give you a respite. Hi there, this thread has been silent for some time again, so hope you find the reply.... I'm going through this transit aswell. Saturn rules my 10th and is in the 3rd house natally. Pluto rules my 7th. The aspect was exact in early 2014 (it was a few minutes off being exact before it turned retrograde, but I count it in), then in Jan 2015, July retrograde and is about to be exact for the last time about three weeks from now. This is how it panned out for me... althrough 2013 I was massively unhappy with my job, I was in a real crisis considering doing something completely different, move to another country and what not. I sat still though waiting for the answer on what to do to arise from the fog in my head. Sure enough, in January 2014 as the transit got exact, things started to move incredibly fast. Because I had gotten sloppy, I got into a situation where I had to be fired from my job. I was shellshocked for about a second and then immediately decided to pull through with a business idea that I'd had in the midst of my crisis in 2013. Luckily enough, I managed to part with my old firm on good terms and they let me work as a freelance consultant to this day to give me more room financially to start my new business. As far as that is concerned, I noticed that every time the transit was exact, I had some sort of breakthrough (when I direct) or obstacle (when retrograde). For the past few weeks things have been very tense - on the one hand it's getting difficult financially now and I've been toying with the idea of selling my beloved home. On the other hand, I've had so many talks recently with potential partners and it is well possible that one of them will strike a deal one of these days. So - in the wake of the transit getting exact one last time, it could go both ways: It could force me to sell my home to survive or let me make a giant leap with my new business ventures. I kinda feel like this could take me where I belong professionally. My crisis came from realising that I'd lost myself in a corporate suit world where I didn't belong. I missed working creatively so much that I was willing to sacrifice everything to do so. But I guess it's safe to say that with a Capricorn MC and an Aquarian Sun in the 10th house, my place is in the middle of both worlds and that's where I'm heading right now. One thing is for sure: This transit has been interesting... it started out by forcing me to make a decision that had been overdue. But it also forced me to be grounded all this time, struggling to cope and constantly looking to make things happen. I'm anticipating what will happen in the next few weeks. IP: Logged |

P. S. Something else I should report, which could or could not be related to this transit...I feel an increased alienation from people who were once really close to me. I don't speak to my older brothers much anymore for instance (Saturn in 3), a musical group I sang in and which was my "gang" for a long time seems to be falling apart at this point and last but not least, my best friend in recent years, my partner in crime so to speak, is suddenly attached to the hip of her new boyfriend. I'M not panicking over this...it's just something I observe with a little sadness but I'm trusting the universe that it has a greater plan behind this. Maybe it's cutting the strings that hold me back from moving on. IP: Logged |

So you have Saturn in Cancer I suppose. If Pluto transiting the 9th, maybe the distance you're feeling from people is meant for you to analyse your life values alone for a while. To re-organize your studies...to get in touch with your spirituality. I had the tr Pluto conjunct Saturn recently. With the conjunctions it's more of a inner process. But with the opposition, the exterior circumstances will force us to deal with the lesson being proposed by the planets. Don't take the things happening with your friends personally. It will get better later. IP: Logged |
