I have this placement. I do have a life of luxury but I am no more lucky than the average person. I dont go out on romantic candle lit dinners every weekend and dont book flights to tropical islands every month. I am humbled to have this placement but trust me its one very small piece of the puzzle. I am a lot behind than most people. Ive never had a relationship. I struggle to find a job. I struggle to make friends. I spend a lot of time at home. I am optimistic and the kindest person you will ever meet but I think that stems from somewhere else. So this aspect isn't really that glamorous- well for me it aint. IP: Logged |

Venus trine/sextile JupiterYou’d go crazy in a relationship in which you felt confined or hampered in any way. Emotionally, you just can’t breathe if you feel your freedom being threatened. No matter how much you’re fond of someone, if they don’t respect that side of things, no lasting good can come from a partnership with them.

I've never read such a thing before.
I wouldn't necessarily associate Venus Jupiter aspects with the need for freedom, but there may be some truth to it. I don't think it's as strong as an actual Venus in Sag though. And Venus Uranus aspects are way more freedom loving! IP: Logged |

hmm.. yes u r correct as always.  since u so smart i wanted to ask something not related to this thread.. wat afflicts saturn? i mean isn't it the malefic planet alredy? wat else could aspect it or make it worse? i can't imagine. pluto? or maybe placed in a debilitated house? IP: Logged |

You really sound sarcastic when saying that 
Afflicted simply means that it receives hard aspects. Any planet can be affliced, if it receives a square, an opposition, and maybe even a conjunction (with malefic planets especially, ie Saturn, Mars and to some extent the outer planets). The minor aspects probably count too but they're not as obvious. The quincunx is probably the most noticeable though.
So, any planet can be afflicted, as I stated.
But it's especially "bad" if a "malefic" planet is afflicted, Saturn and Mars being the traditional malefics, and now Pluto and to a lesser extent Uranus and maybe even Neptune (that's debatable though).

I have Jupiter Aries widely trine Venus Sag (9 degree orb.) But this suits me: quote:

I can't believe you're that simple!
Jupiter well aspected is a very good thing. 
Quincunx or Yod? Hmm, not sure. I don't have any in my chart so it's hard for me to understand, but I think a quincunx is a difficult aspect to integrate, so when you have two of them, even if they are linked to two planets that sextile each other, it's still not that good. It may be a bit better though, true, because there is still a way to ease the misunderstanding between the planets, but I'm not sure how that works. I guess you need to focus on the planets that are sextile to each other to come to a solution.
@ Faith, that's so nice, I'm always amazed at people who have faith. I'm working on it myself (and it's funny because Faith is my Baptismal name.. But I really do need to work on it!).

The trine is lovely! Mine is between venus in cancer and jupiter in the fishies and I'm really glad it exists, because otherwise my jupiter is t-quared by the sun/chiron/moon conjunction in gemini and uranus in sag. so "yay" for the trine IP: Logged |

i wonder if the trine in ur chart is the solution to ur t-square.. i never understood y grand cross wud solve it. but the closest positive aspect to the legs do make sense. mine however is neptune sextile pluto, not venus trine jupiter. hope i am making sense lol! IP: Logged |

ha, nice idea I wish it would work, but venus is in an opposition to mars in capricorn, so it's like trying to extinguish a fire with a tank of oxygen naah, I think I have to look to my first house and develop my personality and probably some ass kicking skillz, haha, cause my north node is in aries  IP: Logged |

my mother and brother both have this placement and are indeed lucky with money. not so much in love, but they do have other aspects affecting this. they also do use money to get power and affection.IP: Logged |

I found how venus/Jupiter easy aspects work.. It gives in luck in love but not "romantic " ones rather people love you, care you, accept you luck such as friend etc...IP: Logged |

It would be too unfair for people who have no Jupiter Venus aspects if you guys were so lucky in love, that's why! It seems that no one is really ever "lucky" in love, everyone goes through hard times. But hey it's good to be liked, even if it's not in a romantic manner

Anything that touches Venus tells us the behaviours that kick in, when attraction mode is on.Thing is with Jupiter and Venus, is that - as with all that touches our Venus - the person will instinctively know what attracts people. But this "perception" is bias, as it is a subjective perception, based in their - and all our - own chart/s. The person with Jupiter and Venus will present as optimistic, pleasant, generous, well-connected and informed (Jupiter is status climbing), and etc, believing that this is what all people are looking for. It is true, that, many people are attracted to other people who are upbeat, and do not present with problems. Such is how Jupiter is "lucky": acting upbeat attracts people, because people are attracted to people who are easy-going and appear to have no problems. Problem with Jupiter is that, it lacks substance. It is also not stable, consistent, it's too adventurous (so lacks commitment). It can come across as trite, flakey and superficial. Jupiter is also classic Pierrot - the crying clown, Jupiter can appear foolish, delusional and irresponsible. Talking about in the domain of love here, it being attached to Venus.
