What's the difference between Venus in Gemini and Mars in Gemini? How is Mars in Gemini?------------------ I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.-Poe IP: Logged |

They're both witty, but Mars in Gemini is the more active energy while Venus in Gemini is more receptive. In other words, mars pursues and inspires in gemini fashion (with words, the mind, etc.) while venus attracts/entices in gemini fashion (with words, the mind, etc.).IP: Logged |

The Venus Mars square is not very pretty. Trouble in romantic affairs, I'd say.IP: Logged |

This was a very interesting thread.I too am seeing a Cancer Sun - Venus in Gemini (moon in Cancer) man and it is a mixed bag to say the least. One minute things seem to be consistent, the next he is coming off as opposite. Only time will reveal who he truly is. IP: Logged |

My experience with cancer men; when they're interested, I've not experienced overt flirting, but they go out of their way to be sweet & considerate. The ones with leo influence tend to leave me little gifts, then act shy about it later. IP: Logged |

Thanks, all of you, for taking the time to reply. I haven't been around the past couple days - vacation - but I've thoroughly enjoyed reading the replies tonight! As for his chart, yes, it is a bit strange. He's got quite a few Cancer influences but then you throw the Gemini and Leo in there and get a very, very confused Aquarius. I'm just going to wait and see how it goes with him, I'll have to keep you guys updated on how it goes once I get to know him better. IP: Logged |

(1993...just a baby ) I'm assuming you don't know his birth time. If he was born before noon, his Moon would actually be in Cancer, not Leo. I don't think his chart is very strange, actually, he's got Gemini and Virgo and those are the two Mercury-ruled signs. He has Saturn in Aquarius, and Saturn isn't a personal planet, so anyone born around his time period would also have this placement. I would think of him for now as a Cancer/Virgo/Gemini person. Is there any way you could sneak birth times into conversation? There's a big difference between a Cancer moon and a Leo moon...although perhaps, not so big because both need lots of attention, just coming from different perspectives lol. IP: Logged |

What I meant by strange is that Cancer/Gemini mix is making him difficult for me to understand, then add in Leo (which I haven't had a lot of experience with besides my brother) and I don't know what to think! The only other Cancer guy I came in close contact with had Cancer in Mercury and Venus as well, and his Moon was in Taurus. I guess seeing as what I have to compare to - a very clingy, straightforward, I'm-going-to-love-you-to-death Cancer who was like that from day one - this new Cancer boy is a welcome relief with his breezy actions! I'm kind of wondering how long it will seriously last though, especially if I can figure out his birth time and he actually does have a Cancer moon as well. What would you say the biggest differences between a Leo and Cancer moon are? IP: Logged |

Cancer Moon is more sensitive and reserved than Leo Moon. Leo Moon is showy, likes to be the center of attention, is very straightforward. While Cancer Moon is all internal, more self-focused. It doesn't seek external attention.IP: Logged |

I would disagree that Cancer Moon doesn't seek external attention, most Cancer Moons I know seek have an inherent need to be nurtured and cared for by another. Leo Moons seek attention that is more all encompassing. They have an inherent need to impress someone and captivate them. There are a lot of Cancer/Geminis in the world, it sounds paradoxical but it's not really. Taurus can be needy in love and very, VERY attached to their partner, so that makes sense you would feel differently with this guy since Gemini is not very focused on the attachment part of a relationship. This doesn't mean Gemini can't be needy though, they can come across as needy because they get bored easily and they "need" the other person to work harder to stay interesting and fresh. IP: Logged |

wal2, do you think a Taurus Venus would increase the possessive trait of a Cancer Sun? I know someone who has that, and a Leo Moon, and they seem to be very focused on their object of affection IP: Logged |

That's probably why I feel more comfortable with this guy than the other. I always felt with the Taurus moon guy that he would do absolutely anything for me and that he almost put me on a pedestal. It bothered me to no end. With this Leo/Cancer moon, whichever he is, I definitely have to stay on my toes to keep up with him. It's definitely a welcome change!I have another question though...sorry, I'm very new to astrology. What does the birth place have to do with what people's placements are? To the best of my knowledge Phoenix is where he's born, but it's possible he wasn't, I haven't had a chance to ask yet. If it was somewhere different, would that have a significant effect on his chart? IP: Logged |

Doux Rêve, I think having Taurus and Cancer in the same chart reinforces both sign's clingy tendencies, definitely. Cancer is not very possessive per se, but they need to be special in the eyes of their partner. Taurus on the other hand, is definitely possessive. Leo is possessive too, in the way that they want their partner to be their #1 fan and no one else's.It can go bad, with them being very clingy and possessive and requiring all your time, but it can be romantic too. Reminds me of a Cancer I know with Venus in Leo and Mars in Taurus. He was absolutely magnetic beyond his years and a very talented, prodigal artist. In his senior year of high school he met a gorgeous woman five years older than him, and when he graduated he turned down going to art school on a full ride scholarship and proposed to her. It was really shocking to everyone because of their ages and his talent, plus the fact that she could have very easily done "better" than a recent high school graduate trying to make it as an artist. They're still together though and they just had their first baby, plus they live off of his income as an artist, and the best part is they are so completely in love with each other you can just bask in the glow when you're around them. So far, it's a happy ending. But, this doesn't really have much to do with the original topic lol. Sorry I went off on a tangent. thisisaquarius: Wow, that sounds completely Cancer/Taurus lol. Yes, they absolutely do put their partners on a pedestal. You are probably feeling a lot of this guy's Gemini energy then, that's good! The longitude and latitude of the actual birth place does matter because that point is what the placements are based around, but it doesn't change things as substantially as the birth time. If you know he's never left Arizona or the southwestern US, for example, you can leave the birthplace as is. But if he might have been born in a different country, you would have to alter it to the new location. IP: Logged |

My friend told me once that if she didn't know me she'd say I'd hit the jackpot with him. It's completely true. In a relationship I pretty much want a guy who does his own thing and has a fantastic friendship with me...the whole doe-eyed I'd-do-anything-for-you completely-in-love guy does nothing for me. In some cases it actually makes me feel physically turned off. I guess I just want someone selfish! IP: Logged |

It helps that I'm Aquarius rising probably... and I was his first love (and he mine) so that always goes down nicely with Aquas! He's Virgo rising and I see no ability to keep anything tidy lol (although he has just got up off the armchair and offered to make me a cup of tea, hee hee)------------------ Where possible, give people a piece of your heart, not a piece of your mind.
