I've read that cancers aren't big flirts/don't flirt very much. However, there's a Cancer guy who I feel might be interested in me and (I think) has been flirting with me - he keeps asking me personal questions, comments on my appearance, and 'casually' touches me. He's a bit clumsy and will comment on say the color of my eyes out of the blue and then continue on to the next topic, but it's quite adorable. Is the common Cancer behavior, or do you think his rising/moon sign or other planet placements are governing his behavior? Or is this just Cancer's way of being friendly?IP: Logged |

All the Cancers I've known flirt quite a lot.

All signs flirt, just in their own way. Of course, I would look at his entire natal chart, but Cancers can flirt like crazy. Sometimes Cancers can lead others on because they mistake his being nice for flirting. A general rule of thumb for me....I've found that a lot of Cancer flirting is a bit cheesy and Lifetime movie-esque lol. Especially if he has Taurus in his chart, but less so if he has Gemini in his chart. If he says something completely corny with a smile on his face, he's probably serious.My consensus is that when Cancers flirt they ARE interested, but might appear to be not interested because they chicken out a little. Or, because Cancer energy is passive aggressive, they feel they sent out enough invitation for an approach and it didn't come, so they're trying to save face. I really do with I was able to get hold of his natal chart, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that without sounding like a fool asking for his birth time and place! All I have is his birthdate, and I'm pretty sure the only thing that allows me to be sure of is his sun sign haha.As for how he flirts, you hit it on the head there. He very seriously spouts out these cheeseball lines that no one else would be able to say without busting a rib. It's pretty endearing. Not sure how I manage to continue getting attracted to Cancers what with my having strong Aquarian tendencies, but I do nonetheless... IP: Logged |

You can fudge it without a birth time, you'll just be missing the exact degree placements of some of the planets and all the Ascendant/house information. As for a birth place, any guesses? The birth place you put in can be in the general area of his actual birthplace and you'd still get a chart.LOL I've definitely been there...I dated someone with Sun/Mars/Moon/Mercury in Cancer and Venus in Taurus and sometimes he would just grab my hand out of nowhere and say something so incredibly corny and then give me this big grin like he was so proud of what he just came up with lol. Not all of them have Venus in Gemini. Gemini is wittier at flirting than Cancer but that doesn't mean Cancer doesn't flirt at all. Also Venus in Gemini doesn't guarantee cheating, and Cancer is not a big cheating sign.IP: Logged |

I never said ALL of them have venus in gem, I said alot of them do, which they do if you check the venus table online.And lol.... most venus in gems DO cheat. Maybe less so females, but if they're a guy with venus in gem, they will.
My ex did. He was a cancer, and he had scorpy moon. Cancer's aren't actually very loyal at all, unless they have a venus in taurus or cancer.

I'd never looked at it that way, I only know one person with Venus in Gemini and she would never cheat in a million years, but she is Taurus Sun and Virgo Asc.I have a good friend who is Cancer Sun and Venus and he is a massive flirt, but there is always a caring side to it. ------------------

I'm a male with cancer sun and Venus in gem. I flirt/joke around with most girls. And just because I flirt with a girl doesn't mean I want her but I could entertain the idea. The girl that I am really interested in. Or am falling for is the girl I tread more lightly with. If I do flirt its subtle and any flirting or compliments I give I try to do so sincerely and with thought. But I think most girls I really do like don't even know because I become very reserved and laid back and if I do accidentally show them a clear sign of attraction I make sure to follow it up with an aloof distant demeanor  I pay very close attention to any possible opportunities that I can take advantage of to showcase desirable qualities to the crush" I also have Venus on the mc and moon in Libra trine venus. But honestly when it comes to flirting regardless of the sun sign I think the rising sign influences the person the most . And in case u couldn't tell I'm Virgo rising. And btw not all cancer . He probably significant gemini or a lighter influence. Can you post his chart for us?

On the real topic: there you have it....Venus in Gemini. Sometimes its just their way of being friendly, sometimes it means something more. Flirting is as natural to most air-influenced as breathing. It doesn't always mean that they're interested though.

Why are you getting all worked up hun? Chill out yeah? =) Give me some examples of venus in gems that are stable, cos anyone can pretty much say anything right? And I'm not just saying this, it's from what I see, and why would every description for venus in gem involve them being flighty and have an inability to commit? It must be true to some extent no?And you don't need to explain about air signs. My moon, venus and merc are in Libra. =) and so is my desc and alot of my asteriods. I do like witty banter, but I do think flirting alot when in a relationship isn't right. I think using the excuse that flirting can't be helped bc of air qualities is simply laughable, bc it can be controlled. It's just that venus in gems would rather have their fun. Oh and I always thought one shouldn't jump to conclusions, but time and time again I see that they're the rule, not the exception in regards to venus in gems. Just cos you're loyal doesn't mean the majority of venus in gems are.

First of all I was addressing the OP, not you, re: flirting because she was the one asking about a SINGLE cancer male who was engaging with her.
As for stable Venus in Geminis, I don't even need real life examples because all one needs to do is look around this site. I would think Me, Teasel, MoonPixie (who is getting married...to another Cancer/Gem Venus), bluegray, and Seeing Stars are grounded enough. I work with 3 other Gemini Venuses and two are happily married and the other has a longterm boyfriend with whom they have a child together. Can all of us really be the exception? Seriously?
