I've noticed that most people I know with a Venus Mars square are very popular with the opposite sex. It's like they have that vibe about them and people are always attracted to them.Could it only be because of the Venus Mars square? Or other elements? IP: Logged |

Weird.. I know someone with that natal aspect and he is so liked.... Explanation is (my guess) Hard aspects produce more energy but bring social awkwardness in early life IP: Logged |

Pretty much any synastry aspect that points to attraction, if found in the natal, will add to the person's desirability, so Mars/Venus aspects are included here.IP: Logged |

Yikes! I know of someone with a n.Venus square n.Mars, and not only is he incredibly handsome, but a pretty popular guy. However, doesn't seem to have the greatest love life. A bit unstable. In my natal, Venus is in sextile to Mars. I seem to naturally get along better with men than women, but that's about it. IP: Logged |

I have the Venus/Mars square, with lots of vibe but no action I can see how 1st and 8th rulers in aspect would cause that, give off a Scorpionic vibe. Scorpio's really do give that something off, with Pisces a close second. Square ain't too bad. Ain't too good either. IP: Logged |

I have the Venus/Mars square too and I really could do without it. It sucks. I don't know if it makes me attractive/magnetic or not but I have to agree with Coffee...there's more vibe than action with this aspect.I know a guy with that aspect though and he is infact quite handsome and sexy. Has a ****** love life nonetheless....the curse of the square D: IP: Logged |

As Mars is natural ruler of self, and Venus natural ruler of partner, it's easy to see how this can affect partnerships, but only when Libra or Aries rises, which cancels out a few options, so maybe you should look at something else as only one sixth is covered by this aspect.Look at astrology from a house point of view, such as 1st is self and 7th is partner, as opposed to a planet point of view where Mars is self and Venus is partner. Well to be honest - From my perspective they are the opposite of magnetic.. This is just *for* me. I have the Venus/Mars trine, and I find their behaviour towards the opposite sex and their views - (often focused on male-female problems, rather than the positives) - a bit dampening of my enthusiasm.I like Venus/Mars sextiles and conjunctions best. But I guess you are asking whether they are considered attractive in general. I think they may be, because they have a lot of sexual energy. They could be attractive on first impressions, but then the bitterness sets in.. so those same members of the opposite sex who were attracted in the beginning - end up feeling attacked and criticized (usually for all things sex-related) IP: Logged |

Coffee, quote: I have the Venus/Mars square
I mean this from a purely detached perspective (as an observation) - and I am not saying it to point fingers at you, in any way... But - some of the threads you have started in reference to male/female problems in relationships and marriage.. and in relation to divorce - are a very good example of the things that dampen my enthusiasm - as mentioned above. Having the trine between these two planets - I like to focus on the "bright side".. You know? But you are not alone! I genuinely hope she likewise does not take offense to me mentioning her here - But Lyra, a fellow knowflake -- (Hows it going? lol) -- has also started some threads on a similar tone, complaining about men behaving in certain ways and women behaving in other ways etc.. She also has the Venus sq Mars -- Coffee - if you find some of her older posts on google.. you will probably understand where I am coming from - as they have a similar tone to yours. (very critical of male/female relationships) This pessimistic or critical "take on things" is basically what does not gel with me. Obviously it is not a problem in friendship, but in terms of me actually having a relationship and being close to a man with Venus sq. Mars - I really do not think I could do it. It would be very difficult. IP: Logged |

I think this is a really tough aspect to have, not sure about being blessed with good looks there is usually ‘something about him/her’ that people notice so I guess that is the magnetism effect. For me, its really difficult to settle into a relationship, Venus square Mars is the grass is greener aspect.

All you need is each element strong in your partner's chart and it's fine. For example mine are square in Air and Earth and I am just fine with men strong in those 2 elements. Get both needs met and you're done, piece of cake. KISSIP: Logged |

Thank you for the replies everyone.Very interesting. Yes I've noticed that people with the square can have a hard time with relationships. But I am sure there are other things in the natal to support this. IP: Logged |

I've mentioned this guy a hundred times here (my tantric libra/the best kisser ever etc.) and he also has a Venus(Leo)/Mars(Scorp) square natally (Square & conjunct his Uranus). Is he magnetic? Well to me he became magnetic after we kissed and after I discovered the highest degree of physical merging & intensity ever. I didn't know him that well before this happened and I do remember that I felt a repulsion when I first saw him, looked him in the eyes.. and thought/felt; not my type! It seemed something about his mouth (???) that I really didn't like.. So yes, things can terribly change after kissing.. My own fixed Mars/Moon square couldn't be more deeply involved in synastry than to his Venus/Mars square.. (our reversed nodes included). And yes.. His Venus-sign (my Sun) and his Mars-sign (my Moon)... As this all is soo obvious to me it's very difficult to look at rulers you know.. He (Libra) is - after a relationship for five years with someone of his own age - for almost three years now in a relationship with a Cancer-woman who's fifteen years older than him. IP: Logged |

My mom has this aspect. She was absolutely gorgeous when she was young and is still quite beautiful today without making much of an effort. She attracted all the wrong men. There was abuse, both physical and verbal. The men that she chose looked at her more as a trophy than an actual person. She definitely dated and married below her in every way. Just judging from her alone, I think this aspect makes one attractive and awkward in the way that they don't know how beautiful they are and take whatever they can get. One might even hide their own sexuality and beauty to stay out of the spotlight, which is what she did and still does to this day. I'm sure there's more to it than just this aspect like placements, but I don't know her time of birth. Also, I have Venus conjunct Mars. If someone compliments how I look I don't believe them. I don't think this aspect makes one magnetic, at least not in my case. However, it does make one easy in their own skin and not afraid to talk about all things related to sex. But then they're both in my 8th house and square Uranus. IP: Logged |

Delilah, I've never thought that I'm beautiful, but what you posted describes me a bit - the exception being that I've stayed mostly single, being afraid of attracting abuse, as well as hating the sexual attention I received (a lot of it, from a young age). Unfortunately, trying to avoid certain things can end up landing you in a similar hole to what you've been trying to avoid; Melody beattie, talks about how, when she was learning to sky-dive, her instructor told her when she's planning her landing, to not look at a tree, because that's where she would end up - in a way, I've hit the damned tree several times. I also hid, literally - I was agoraphobic, stopped wearing sleeveless tops and shorts or skirts above the knee. Stopped messing with my hair, make-up, etc, or wearing white tops because they made my chest look bigger. Bah! I wish I'd never done that - given my power away. When I was younger I attracted really good guys, for the most part, but as an adult... it's just beyond a joke that I don't want to get into. I started to get out of that a bit, when I was 28 (Saturn Return), but I was still giving my power away, and avoiding, for the most part. Venus in Gemini square Mars in Pisces. I now firmly have a chip on my shoulder that needs sanding down and refinishing, before I might meet anyone, and I'm now in my mid-thirties. I'd rather honestly get back to just wanting to be alone, and avoid that warped little angel, cupid, and his arrows that keep hitting the wrong spots. I have Moon conjunct that Venus, too, so it's also square Mars from the beginning of the eighth. (I might edit later.) IP: Logged |

Teasal, my mom never thought she was beautiful and still doesn't. When her Saturn Return happened she left my dad and was angry for years. She dated a few guys after who treated her the same and after the last she quit dating altogether. She was 36 or 37 when she just gave up. She just let all of the good guys go and hung onto the filth. I may be the only person to have told her she could have done so much better. The men that she chose, particularly my dad, did their best to control her. IP: Logged |

Ok Mars /Venus Does THIS combination produce magnetic vibes? It seems the person may BE magnetic but not feel as if they are or not be able to use it wisely. How do the square, trine and conjunction differ. I have it,also they rule my Asc(Venus) and Dsc(Mars)... I can see how fits what u guys mentioned-late blooming, but my chart is ridden with late bloomer/precocious indicators,so I can' t speak for myself, although I noticed marks in that direction. 2 of my best friends have this sq,and yes, they r quite magnetic-to the point they don't like-lots of forceful encounters, rude comments, just when 3 of us go out in the evening,it is never pleasant. But,I noticed with girls who hqve this aspect is that they don't have good relationship with their father;IP: Logged |
