It all depends on your house placements really, but entertaining the thought for a minute, pretty damn good in a certain way.Take the chart as Scorpio riser. 1st ruler PLUTO, with 6th ruler as MARS. Lets say 6th house in a relationship is about bathing together and keeping clean. As Pluto is conjunct Mars natally, that is best possible aspect for these two planets to be in. Despite the placement in Virgo, and looking at the placement instead in Capricorn, that would mean that Pluto in transit would be conjunct this unbeatable conjunction of Pluto/Mars. With that, you won't want to beat it. In a competition with this as opposed to being the 6th house composite, you would get beat. IP: Logged |

In my experience- conjunctions can go either way. I have this placement natally and have it with a lot of people born in my generation, particularly those a few years earlier than me since my conjunction is on the wide side. For me (Mars) it can be empowering in a lot of ways- I feel like Pluto encourages me to get mad about things when it's justifiable and take what's mine in the world. In sexual relationships, again, empowering. There's generally a sense that Pluto takes Mars' energy- will, aggression, sexuality and just ups it to the next level- often in a deeper and more significant way than Mars would act on its own. On the other hand, when it's bad it's bad. There's just a lot of pressure to this aspect. I find Mars is kind of like a baby Pluto- aggressive and willful but lacking the depth and interest in underlying motivations that Pluto has. Because of this, as Mars I often feel "innocent" next to Pluto. The worst comes out in arguments or situations when the two are pitted against one another- in my experience as Mars I'll just throw a punch, be honest, move on and Pluto usually wont react right away but will end up doing/saying something way more loaded, taking it to another level- potentially manipulative, sneaky, with the intention of hurting really badly. Usually it will be something they observed a long time ago, and let build up to release at that moment. Mars gets angry and just wants to express it but Pluto is worse because Pluto wants to get even, get revenge. I also noticed both are really stubborn and try to have their way with each other, but again Mars is kind of innocently stubborn (albeit willful and potentially annoying about it to Pluto who is more about quietly controlling to get what they want) by this I mean no ulterior motives- whereas Pluto has a lot of control issues to contend with. Mars will just ask for what it wants whereas Pluto might go about things so subtle that you end up asking them for exactly what they had in mind all along because of the quiet control they wield. Overall, super pressurized. Depending on the rest of the synastry it may or not be prominent but in my experience it's there and both good and bad scenarios play out at some point in the relationship. To be honest, I think it can be hard to sustain in the long run...and I saw that as a Scorpio Mars who has this aspect natally! I'm not saying it isn't super attractive in a lot of ways but again, lots of pressure and power/control games to contend with. IP: Logged |

Ok now take that pressure ^ and imagine it in a chart with a grand trine (all 0' deg orbs) - involving the people's Saturns and Suns. It is like a flipping boiler! But nothing shows on the outside LOLI'm Pluto and he's Mars.. This aspect is also at 0' orb in Scorpio. (He does not have a Mars/Pluto aspect in natal... only a Venus/Pluto conj. So it might be more obvious to him.. It is not an aspect he has with people in his generation)
