Dark,very dark
Can YOU go to dark places and still pull yourself back up?
You would need that ability/corresponding part in your own chart
I would see what Nessus/Deja aspects you had with him
This would show if abuse would play out,I think

I agree, dark places.....moody (sorry to any scorpio mooners out there, i only mean this in the negative way it can be used. My leo moon can also be demanding and selfish at times.)

He's very suspicious.. Always looking for hidden meanings, with everything I say.

I dont see him as dark... Complex yes.. fixed yes... But dark... idk... He's more paranoid, and thinks there are hidden meanings..

I think they just need a lot of their own space. Don't try to prod them into anything, but don't let them just walk all over you. If they are having one of their moments - just let them be. It will pass. If you guys are having issues - never let your emotions get out of hand. You gotta control yourself and approach it rationally. They don't mind if you have emotions - but they like to know you are strong enough to have some control over them. Be always honest with them, because they will figure out eventually. No point lying. Let yourself be vulnerable - but again, take control of your vulnerability. They need to know you can take care of yourself - that you don't need them, but you WANT them.

I've never found Scorpio moons to be dark personally. Usually they have pretty outgoing personalities, they simply have a lot hidden behind that. Yeah, they can be moody too, but this usually passes too.

Dark? I guess it depends what you mean by that... My boyfriend has a Leo Sun and Scorpio Moon... He's finishing up his Saturn Return, so he's dealing with his issues now, but he does have a pretty self-destructive past involving self-loathing and substance abuse, which has finally caught up with him. I don't get it, personally. He's the most likable, lovable, charming, sweet, caring person you could ever hope to meet. EVERYONE loves him. I've always said that he's the most beautiful soul I have ever encountered, and I stand true to that... But
somehow his inner demons just won't let him see how great he is. It's sad really-- he's the only one who doesn't like him! He just seems to see the world so differently... He sees all the negative and is constantly afraid that everyone's out to get him or that he's not worthy of happiness...

I second what Lioness said about paranoia. He's definitely pretty paranoid and suspicious, and it takes him an EXTREMELY long time to trust people. He's not so much this way anymore because I've been with him for a while and he knows I'm honest and trust worthy but I think this is just a standard for how Scorp Moons are with everyone at the beginning...

Well, for me, I can only take Scorpio is low doses.
I like Mars in Scorpio is an otherwise light chart.
I like this in men and woman as I have several friends of both sexes with it.
I do NOT like Scorpio moon.
I feel I cannot go there is all.
They have some place inside them I don't want to go.
It is hard to describe.
Perhaps,it is a loss of innocence, a place I have not traversed that I don't want to.
Once you go certain places,you are changed ,forever.
I don't want to touch more of Scorpio moons than I have already.
The few I have touched have burned me in ways that I would prolly not have a Scorpio moon friend beyond a casual friend.
It is a sense ,a feeling of something rather than something that can be described in literal words.
That is why this may not make sense.

It's funny - I love and adore Scorpio Moon people. It's my favorite Scorpio placement, probably the one that I can handle easiest. But I seriously love them. They are interesting and make my little Sag moon flutter. It's my DESC in Scorpio, I'm sure, but that moon in my 7th is so ridiculously common in the guys I've liked. I cannot handle Scorpio Mars + Venus + even Sun sometimes. Definitely not Scorpio Mercury. But that Moon is just lovely.

Intense? Yes. Dark? Depends on the person. My close friend with this placement (Pisces Sun/Virgo Asc.) hates most dark or emo things...she considers them melodramatic, and therefore fake (see: Twilight). She loves or hates, not much inbetween...but she likes anything that lifts the mood. Her favorite type of music is techno, and she loooves Bollywood (especially pre-Millenia Bollywood).

For me, this is one of the easiest moon placements to get along with. I always seem to have an easygoing relationship with them. Obviously my 8th house moon placement.

Maybe its my Pluto in H7 or Scorpio in H8.. But I like the depth of scoprio moon's..

I dont like the paranoia, and always having to reassure, Im not up to something.. But hey it is what it is...

He's always looking for whats hidden with people.. Ive noticed that... He's looking to see what others cant.. But since he's fixed in that way, there's no convincing him no hidden agenda..
You cant "tell" him anything.. If I want to get something through to him.. I kind of have to go in through the back door, and let him figure it out...

It's more important what your own Moon sign is.. and what aspects your planets make to his Moon.. in terms of how you will get along and whether you'll perceive him to be dark.

For instance, you may be darker than he is.. in which case he will seem tame.

I've known a handful of men in my life with this combination. What you said about being depressed and unhappy with certain things - while everyone loves them.. is "true"-ish for the ones I know.
The difference is I do not believe them - To be completely honest.
I think sometimes it is utter BS -- and they just want more affirmation for their qualities.

I mean they KNOW their own worth - Don't you worry about that. So they're full of.. poo poo... when they go on about this kind of thing.

But it's all good because I'm happy to give affirmation and I love them anyhow..

Hmm... my moon usually makes no aspect to their moon except for a possible inconjunction or a loose conjunction. Dunno.

I am a sensitive crab at heart and Scorpio moons can be abrasive

Ohhhhh they definitely do!! They are so focused, driven, multi-faceted, perceptive, and committed!... I find that many musicians have this placement as well. My boyfriend's one of them. So is Johnny Cash.

And one thing I must say is that they truly are the most sensitive of signs. That's why they are often so prickly and abrasive on the outside-- they're just protecting that soft, gentle center.

I was going to say pretty much everything you said here. I also was thinking of a Leo sun, and Scorpio moon and when I first met him I thought he was a little arrogant because the way he spoke was so assured and careful that it felt very patronizing at a time when i was particularly vulnerable. But a couple years later I've got really know him and I really fell in love with him (not actually...)
Same as your guy, he is the most caring sweetest soul/heart I've ever met and everybody loves him, he's so ernest in everything he does that even when he shoots off his mouth, he's just so loveable that there's nothing you can do but laugh. He's definitely paranoid and I noticed the trust issues as well but I made a ass of myself in front of him and was completly and thoroughly honest with him and he forgave/let it go in a way nobody has ever done to me before. It's very refreshing because I know that although he may have stored it away for further knowledge, he didn't change the way he treated me because of it.
Needless to say, I'm a big fan
