Amy, i cannot tell about others, but i see my mars in cancer taking me to outburst to temper. i am not violent, because i have learned with age, but in the past, i could throw my sandwich to the waiter if it was not right prepared. if i felt abuse i can shout loudly. if i am in a queu and somebody cut in, i will shout at him/her with strong fieress. my moon square uranus-pluto though. but i have read that mars in cancer because we are not assertive, then when we explode, we explode boy. there is something particular with mars in cancer. we are too protective than when somebody we care is being hurt of threatened we are not afraid and can confront even a dangerous person with fearless braveness. I have been surprised by my attitude a couple of time. my sister, mars in cancer is very similar in that respect. IP: Logged |

A friend of mine with cancer mars bit off this other kids' thumb in 1st grade because they were hurting someone.. one of their friends I think. I can't remember the whole story. Mars in Cancer here.I can be extremely verbally aggressive and abusive, but you really have to PUSH me to get me to that point, and what happens is that all the hostility you built up in me until that point, gets unleashed at once. IP: Logged |

What on earth is going on here, Mars in Cancer violent for no reason? NO. Usually very gentle and peace loving. I am one and know many.Mars in Cancer the ULTIMATE protector, YES. Lets just put it this way, I resent violence and am always gentle and loving with everyone. BUT, if you hurt my little brother, you are number one on my hit list.(LOL, i joke) We dont get in your way as long as you dont get in ours. Because if you do, all our "passiveity" will come out if you know what i mean. Other than this we should get along wonderfully.

Yes, I agree, i am usually always content with myself and actions but I have only gotten in two fights in my entire childhood in which both of, the person thought because i was so quite and "passive" they could walk all over me untill they got themselves into something they shoulndt have. One of these fights was actually in defence of my friend. People shouldnt be fooled, were gentle but FIERCE when aggrevated. Remember mars in cancer is Passive-Aggressive. IP: Logged |

Cancer anger scares me. I wouldn't say Cancers are "more angry" or "less angry" than other signs. But they can be so *intense* when they do lose their tempers.I very clearly remember a high school teacher who was Cancer Sun, who was mostly a good-natured old lady. She never got violent, but when she was angry she was BLIND to anything else. Like she would just tear into a student until they cried. Honestly, it was so weird because she could be calm and patient about "big" episodes of misbehavior from students. But sometimes one small thing would just totally get to her and she would fixate on the person who did it. It was very unpredictable. My granddad was a Cancer Sun and he could be the same way. Wonderful man and normally calm as could be. But then some odd little bug would get under his skin and BANG, he just didn't want to hear anything else until he had obliterated the problem and made whoever caused it feel damn sorry. I realize I'm just about Sun Cancers and not Mars Cancers here, but based on these experiences I deffo. wouldn't underestimate a Mars Cancer! IP: Logged |

I get what ur saying. I think Cancerians use their hard outer shell to protect their deep vulnerability. Basically they can overcompensate their weakness by projecting/ appearing or actually being violent. IP: Logged |

WOW!! Interesting story. Have we looked at Shanda's progressions? At age 12 - June 18th, I see she had; pVenus sq p/nSaturn & p/nPluto opp pMoon. I don't want to talk about it!!! But when I went over this date by progression something traumatic happened to me. Same themes: sexual jealously, taboo, and physical violence at the hands of a dominant plutonian female. That's exactly it; I agree. A Pluto square especially can play up someone's temper.
Mars in Cancer are anything but violent. Mars loses a bit of his fire when in Cancer. quote:

I have Mars in Cancer and i dont really even like conflicts i dont have time for them but i can have a temper at times i think thats because of my aries moon but when i get angry its usually over something worth being upset about but i mean i won't just Walk up to someone and punch them in the face or anything (unless they hit me ffirst then their @@@ is mine !) will not lie when i get to a point of physically fighting its not nice because i rage when i get THAT upset which has only happened once in a fight because a girl hit me in my nose. I felt bad for hurting her and making her bleed so i apologized for hurting her but not for defending myself. Its not that mars in cancers are weak we well i seriously just let stuff go alot unless it reaches an extreme point then thats another story
Overall though im not violent because i dont like hurtin othr people. My temper isnt short either but it can be nasty if someone does something that crosses one of those lines. I actually have a lot of aspects mars trin ssaturn specifically that talk of How my temper is well controlled.

My Mars is in Cancer in the 9th house and square Saturn-Pluto conjunction in the 12th.

1. Mars in Cancer are not wimpy.
2. They are fighters for a cause. You'll get the odd person who fights for a less than noble one, but there is always a cause, and for better or for worse, they believe in it. 3. It's been said in various astrological interpretations that Mars in Cancer women tend to be robust and display more masculine tendencies, whereas Mars in Cancer men are the opposite and have a more gentle, effeminate nature to them. Prime examples of this, I would say, are P!nk and John Mayer. 4. A great pop culture example of a Mars in Cancer man would be Maximus in Gladiator, as portrayed by Russell Crowe.
