Mayan Animal Moon Sign Cutz English Name Peacock Crystal Red TopazInterpretation The fifth moon of the Mayan calendar is called the moon of the peacock. In Mayan language, peacock was known as 'cutz'. You are envisaged as an authoritative, proud and powerful person to others. The splendid profusion of blue and green of peacock's feather captures everyone's eye. In a similar way, you are showy and flamboyant. Numerous 'eyes' on peacock's fan is reflected in your observant nature. You are curious and always keep a constant watch on things going around you. You are elegant, dramatic and infused with sensuality. Your razzle-dazzle show wins widespread popularity and admiration in society. Chicchan/Serpent Chicchan's symbol is the serpent, representing healing and wholeness. There are two aspects of this force, the ida and the pingala, representing its male and female polarities. One of the ancient secrets of Chicchan is the activation of higher states of consciousness through balancing these two polarities so that they dance within us as one. Another metaphor for this serpent energy comes from the Mayan words luk umen tun ben can, or “those absorbed by the serpent of the sacred knowledge.” When the seven chakras are fully activated, one experiences an enlightened state. Sand, your first link is very good.Aztec Personality Traits: Fortunate. Whether he was the youngest or the oldest or born between these, he was to be outstanding within his family and to prosper vastly. He was destined to possess wealth and never be hungry. All of this was based on the characteristics of the lizard, who calmly rests on the wall, never lacking flies or mosquitos, all of them coming naturally to his mouth. And so it was omened that the man born under this sign was to be prosperous without great toil. --------------------------------- Mayan Spiritual Calendar Try this one. Shadow Wisdom and Transformation is very interesting.

I think the information in the second link is much more accurate. I didn't relate at all to the animal explanation in the first link, and I checked with 3 other friends, and the second link was more accurate for them too. IP: Logged |

I'm Kawoq (Rain), that much I know for sure after looking into the subject a bit myself, months ago. What surprised me was when I checked out some of the other links in this thread, and most of them gave me a completely different Mayan sign I'd never had before or even heard of - Dze (Scorpion?), really? I have a hard time buying that. And a lot of the sites contradicted each other, and said something completely different than the site before it said. IP: Logged |

My Mayan animal sign is the Rabbit, and it's symbols is Lamat the star. Lamat: Star energy is multiplication of all things to abundance. Star has been associated with the fertility of rabbits for its ability to multiply. As each sun in the sky, Star persons shine equally in all directions. This natural tendency of harmony and balance can become compulsion motivating Star to be too agreeable and too generous. Rabbit: represented the struggle to overcome the material state. Rabbit, a sign of cleverness, games and competition, produces persons with active minds who must always be doing something. They have a great liking for music and humor, but they can also be argumentative and even self-destructive at times. Born under it were Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix. Mayan Animal Moon Sign: Keh English Name: Deer Crystal: Cymophaene The third sign of the Mayan moon sign's is the Deer. Sheer beauty and the magnetic power to attract others are the most important characteristics of Deer people. Moreover, your communicational skills and good conversational style make you a favorite. Others find you irresistible in your own natural loveliness. Elegant and sensitive, you may appear to be a fragile person to others. You have a compassionate disposition that reveals itself in your supportive and caring acts. You are philanthropic in your point of view and feel that it is your duty to help fellow men. Despite all these positive traits, you have your faults too. Your sense of timing can be anything but accurate. Aimless and naive, sometimes you can cause irritation among others. You need lots of affection in your childhood to grow into a confident and strong individual. Yep seems about right and I'm a Libra so being social, harmony loving, and enjoying working with others is me in a nutshell. IP: Logged |

The Astrology dot com one? Yeah, I think it's pretty accurate. I thought the Mayanmajix one was even moreso, but when I linked a friend to it she said it was way off, which is exactly how I feel about the MysticScripts one. IP: Logged |

Thankyou for ur insight into the Mayan times, i wanted to learn more about this ancient period and u have started me off nicely...This is my Mayan Moon Mayan Animal Moon Sign Xibkay English Name Lizard Crystal Garnet And Ruby Interpretation Due to its ability to change color within a blink of an eye, Lizard is associated with duplicity and confusion. While hunting, lizard changes colors to get what it wants. In a likewise manner, you can easily confuse others by sheer tactfulness to achieve your desired goal. But that does not mean that you are deceitful and prone to backbiting. You can be clever play a few tricks but can never be dishonest. It is difficult for others to realize you or even describe you in proper terms. As a result, you can be misunderstood or misinterpreted in a distasteful way. You are overtly sensitive to your environment and even the slightest change can not escape your observation. IP: Logged |

You need lots of affection in your childhood to grow into a confident and strong individual.deers are one of my favorite animals! hehe. im a libra and my risings in taurus. i can relate pretty well. i got a mayan astro reading from a lady i know and she was saying how if your born at night there could be a chance that your a cusp since we dont really know what time system the mayans used. she said that through observation she noticed that a lot of people born during the night could relate to the next days sign. with that being said.. i was a cusp of reed/jaguar. i can relate to both but i can deffinately see myself in reed, as well as jaguar. but the gods that ruled those sign i could relate with more on the reed side.. i cant remember the gods name but it was the god of thunder and it fit me to the tee. i guess it was the scariest/gnarliest god. I actually didn't get where this was going at first but I get it now. It's not that different from western astrology, where you have a sun, moon, ascendant, or chinese astrology where you'll have a year sign, a month sign and an hour sign...In that sense, yeah I have to admit that the Scorpio fits - to a point. I'm not competitive, jealous or all that vindictive, but I'm assuming it's supposed to be comparable to having a scorpio moon in western or something and my natal moon IS conjunct Pluto and at the end of Libra... so I see the tie-in and SOME of the traits attributed to Dzec, do fit me. So, yeah - I'm Kawoq (Rain), with a the Dzec animal moon sign. That fits all the water/eighth house activity I have going on in my western astrology chart, but I have a lot of Air too and none of the mayan astrology readings I've seen so far really account for that.
