I've got Mercury in Cancer, so I'm naturally inclined to take more of a passive role in communicating. Today, for some reason, I have been a regular chatty Cathy. Do y'all think Mercury stationing to turn retro could have anything to do with it? If not, what kind of transits could make a wallflower wanna get out and mingle? Am I the only introvert acting strangely? IP: Logged |

Hey there & welcome, fellow introvert. What's your date of birth? I'll check transits to your planets and let you know if anything stands out.Stationing/retro Mercury hasn't affected my communication (despite its current conjunction to my natal Mercury) but I feel a lot more open today because transiting Saturn finally exited my 1st House. It's like a breath of fresh air. Maybe you're experiencing a transit like that too. IP: Logged |

Oh, this is nothernlad 2.0. My account vaporized so I had to re-register. I'm not a total n00b. I haven't checked my transits because my internet connection is wonky. Saturn is transiting somewhere in my 10th and it cannot leave soon enough. If you wanna check my transits anyway, my dob is 6/23/85 EDIT: Just checked my transits. You think tMerc conj ASC in Sag could explain it? IP: Logged |

Oh, it's just you. :PStationing/Retro Mercury is quincunx to your natal Mercury. The quincunx is a really aggressive angle, so it would be pushing extra hard at your natal Mercury to operate in the opposite direction. Sucks about your account! Let's just blame Mercury for that. IP: Logged |

dont you think introversion has a lot more to do with how you recharge which can be comparable to reclusion? than just being "talkative"? I am talkative but I'm an introvert. Correct me if I'm wrong I just sense from your op ..anyway I'm an intj what type of introvert are you?IP: Logged |

It's weird, because every time I take one of those Myers-Briggs tests, I score very close to even in the Introvert/extrovert category. I always just classify myself as an outgoing introvert. I can usually turn the outgoing part on and off; it also depends on how I feel about the circumstances. Today though, I've been just filled with a lot of nervous energy and the desire to communicate with anyone and everyone... much different than the usual.IP: Logged |

Yeah, that makes sense. It's probably the effect of both transits. There was a post a while ago by Xiiro, "Cool Experience"...the grand trine in the sky right now is/was conjuncting his natal grand trine but it was when there was a second transit to his Ascendant that he felt a push of energy activating the energy stored in the t-grand trine conj n-grand trine and moving him to action. Well, I'm sure you'll have a great Tgiving with your temporary extrovert energy. =) And then when Mercury moves away from the conjunction and then goes direct you can re-join the rest of us introverts in all our glorious isolation. AND I've got Uranus conj ASC, so I wonder if that'll throw any fun screwballs my way. IP: Logged |

Hey there So this is how I look at it. People are introverts for many reasons. You can look to yourself and your chart to figure out the cause. Once you have a sense why, then you might be able to pinpoint transits that might bring you out of your shell. OR you can look back to a period in your life when you came out of your shell and try to figure out what transits or circumstances pushed you in that direction. For example with me, my status as an introvert is caused by a number of things. I have Sun, Mercury and Venus in Cancer. For me, I have to feel accepted first by others before I can open up. I also have a saturn in first house. That means I can have difficulty projecting my inner sense to the world. Ie I can come off as being cold, stiff and aloof when I`m really not that way. For me, I found that the transit uranus trine sun brought me out of shell. Its that extra kick that disintegrates that mask I have. For me, being more extroverted is all about building up my confidence and comfort level. And that takes time, so I find that my long-term transits ie (uranus, saturn, pluto) have a pretty big bearing on where I am on the introvert/extrovert scale. It actually relates back to the saturn in first house. When you have a placement like that you can project yourself more easily once your best features. Having positive transits gives you a good chance to succeed because things are more likely to go your way and through and give you something positive to build on. And also being in a supportive environment helps too

I'm in the same boat as you with the Cancer placements. I've got Sun, Mercury and Mars. I've got Saturn in the 11th, so perhaps there's some insecurity when dealing with groups and friends, etc. But once I'm comfortable with my surroundings I really have no qualms about being the center of attention. I love to do karaoke, and people are sometimes surprised at how into it I get. At the end of the day, though, I usually need to be alone to recharge my batteries. IP: Logged |
