Yes I am. Caps in Mercury.

My college girlfriend was a hyper aggressive Gemini, and she went on to become hyper successful too.

mintgirl........libra and scorpio combo = street smart (strategic, intuitive, good at reading people and assessing situations and coming up with the best way to approach situation) you add gemini rising with venus in the 3rd and they research everything that strikes their curiosity which is a lot making them both book smart and street smart.

So I think your ideal guy perhaps has libra, leo, and I know you dont like gemini but gemini somewhere not in venus and scorpio in mercury.

OMG you know what? My ideal guy would have a leo/sag/libra rising, taurus sun, moon in like libra, mercury in aquarius, leo or aries, venus in taurus/sag, mars in virgo, taurus or scorpio.

Mmmm Gem suns I can handle lol but I'd rather prefer a taurus! Keeps my earth placements happy.
I have a fire rising so I would like some fire in the guy too! Not tooo much (esp not aries moon or mars) but just *alittle* hehe to keep things upbeat.

Scorpio in mercury would make them very very stubborn though? My dad's a scorp mercury and he's SUPER stubborn.

But Olivia Wilde is tall at 5'7". That's a whole new ball game. I previously dated a 5'10" model too. Not much compatibility though. Definitely not wife material.

I'm old school given my age, so when I met her, I thought she looked a bit like Vivien Leigh, as in Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With The Wind.

Where are you finding these models? I mean, I've dated some really cute ones but...

Don't get me started on the typical western (and especially American/British) 20-something female of today. You think those guys got flaws? Ughhh.

PS: In this current economy, "stabilitly" in the traditional sense can be thrown out the window and is kind of dead. I hope to go back and get my masters in the next half year, but I have a pretty good job. But sorry, no house, no car...I guess I am too "unstable" for the entitled masses within my country...

Something about middle eastern men turns me on so much!

Could be Venus in the 9th or Jupiter in Taurus in 8th house.

Because I noticed alot of middle eastern people im attracted to have something on my Jupiter.

And it's sooo nice too. Taurus is soo attractive!

That's quite different... you're in the process of achieving your goals, not partying every weekend and still watching Beevis and Butthead such as the 20-somethings I'm sure mintgirl is referring to.

Just be yourself and go out and be genuine, sincere and affectionate. True love will come to you. Its not about appearances anyway. A pretty face or a gorgeous body is useless if a person has a caustic soul, is as genuine as a three dollar bill and the personality of a snake.

To answer your question, I met my wife when she was an interior designer for a firm that was retained to design the interior decor of the financial services firm where I was working.

As for the other models I dated, one was a part-time college classmate, one I met at a department store, one at a club and another at a museum. But I never found any of these four to be wife/mother material and had no interest in them on a long-term basis. Neither was playtime with them that wonderful despite the way they look.

I was specifically wife shopping and was on a mission. And to be clear, I wasn't looking only at Caucasian women. I was down the aisle of Black, Latino, Asian, and even attempted Israeli Jews, Persians and Arabs (yes, as in Moslem).

Hairy/furry men with low voice, defined jawline, broad shoulders and broad smiles, especially when they look messy but actually tried hard to look formal.

Stop stereotyping women of different ethnicity! When it comes to falsely placed materialism, it goes across the board at all ethnicities and nationalities.

Stop bemoaning your finances. We all struggled the same way after college. I did earn some money through personal investments, but I had to exercise my own initiative and not rely on the fscking usless university degrees.

Don't tell me to stop doing anything especially when the description fits a large number of the people I describe. It fits a good chunk, but not the extent where it is a "stereotype" as you said (I never used that word however, so don't put words in my mouth).

I am not "bemoaning" anything but stating matters as they are, so deal with it. University degrees are as "useless" or useful as you make them. One, and for another, you really need to know how to market yourself and use certian things learned, to your advantage when selling yourself on the resume. of course more practical degrees like an accounting degree or something else in the maths, sciences or technology for sure are not as useless as you state.

I am not the only man who says dating in the states is hard, it is.

So you are saying that Caucasian women that you have encountered are materialistic. And Asian women, especially Chinese women, are not? You mentioned an "entitlement" mentality. Is that not prevalent everywhere else as well? Is it not the job of the man to provide for the woman?

And no one said that dating is easy. Its difficult everywhere, and even more difficult in China than in America for both local Chinese and foreigners. I had a girlfriend in Shanghai myself, although she wasn't Chinese born.

We just deal with it and life moves on.

Its not all about you. I am mentioning that Asian women are just as materialistic, if not infinitely more so.

And degrees are useless in an environment of high structural unemployment. I have degrees galore and they provided me with a career, but not much more than that. The return on investment is pathetic.

Just my 2 cents: Eastern culture is far less materialistic in general than Western cultures.

If we are bringing it down to one person, then we can make sense of a non materialistic person being in western culture. But in the scheme of things.. it's an accuarte generalization.

For example, do you see eastern women wearing skinny jeans?

Degrees are useless.. All it takes to succeed is power, smarts, a goal, and experience.

As someone who is half asian and half white and grew up in the West with cousins back in Malaysia... I can say that everyone everywhere is materialistic as sh*t. My mom (who is Chinese) always says to me "find a rich man," my cousins in Malaysia DO wear skinny jeans, and there's the stereotypical eastern parent telling their children to become doctors or engineers (obviously for the money).

I mean, I don't see how you could even say that asian people are less materialistic. POORER, maybe.

If you take the net present value of a four year degree and compound it four years hence with an internal rate of return based on US Treasuries, you would have enough to acquire a majority partnership interest in a popular restaurant franchise. If you future value that investment four years further hence, you would see that while the four-year college graduate would just be climbing out of an entry level position in four years, and possibly at risk of being laid off, you would have accumulated a net present value of retained equity in excess of half a million dollars.

Degrees are useless, yes, if you do not know how to market yourself. However, if you get a degree in a field that is in demand, and a degree that is practical (and even avoid taking out loans) 100% they are useful.

I disagree. Living in China for sometime, I have not see the same level of materalism as I did in the states or other western countries. I did see some Chinese/Thai/Cambodian/etc. women addicted to money but to me, those women in those countries were more obvious and up front about it. Yes they exist but they were easy to spot. I had a legit Asian gf or two, they were so practical, oney saving, etc. And I found lots like that. So, the stereotype I often got while in Beijing (where lots of westerners are), those glares from other white women while I was with her and sometimes even nasty words. Because these strangers assumed, like you just said in you last post, that she was with me for my money ( I told her I was poor in fact) was so off base and unfair.

Gimme a break alright? Among the degrees I have is an MBA in Finance, plus three more, and all of mine are from the Ivy League. I have a job that pays very well - I'm a banker - but the degrees only got me my first job. Other than that, it was street smarts that got me up the corporate ladder, not book smarts. And I paid for my entire graduate education without a dime in loans.

Degrees may make you a lawyer or a doctor or an engineer. Degrees would never by themselves make you wealthy.

I grew up in that part of the world myself.

Not only are they more materialistic, they actually have a higher density of rich people *per capita* than in most of America. There are the poor, yes indeed, and they are poor indeed. But then there are also the rich.
