Girls especially just go for guys with money. It's not even a stereotype, it's fact.

Ain't that the truth! That's how it goes. I'm materialistic myself.

Not only are they more materialistic, they actually have a higher density of rich people *per capita* than in most of America. There are the poor, yes indeed, and they are poor indeed. But then there are also the rich.

Asians can be very superficial unfortunately. My parents aren't like this obv, but from what I've seen when I went back to Asia, girls can be pretty damn demanding and their sole purpose in life is to snag a rich dude. Age is not even a factor. They don't even care lol.

You are all incorrect by saying 'asians' are this..

There are all kinds of people all over the world.. and some are materialistic and some aren't.

However when it comes to generalizing, buddhism is an eastern way of living, and they don't live by material things.

Its funny because when I'm in Asia, the girls are out for me. I had one tell me that "American marriage doesn't count here, you are available to me" lol They just want money and a good life.

Not all Asians are Buddhists. The country I'm from has 55% Christians.

I'm not discriminating, lol cos you know you can't really be racist to your own kind? It's just from everything I see around me. I live in a city with ALOT of asians.

Haha please go f*ck yourself.

First of all, most major religions talk about breaking away from materialism. Why do you think Christian priests take vows of poverty and constantly talk about giving to charity?

Second, my family is Buddhist/Taoist.

Materialism is the way of the world, unfortunately. People crave security.

And it's laughable that you can say "asians are less materialistic" and "your family is lesser" and then turn around and say "guyyyyssss stop generalizing." You're deplorable.

woah.. This is supposed to be a discussion. No need for all this tension.

And out of the cesspool usually comes fertile soil that is good for agriculture. Gotta be optimistic about things.

Well, I'm not even saying that asians are MORE materialistic than the west, just that they have the capacity for materialism lol. Also, America has the highest amount of rich people per capita... So not sure where you got that idea. Asia has a significantly larger income inequality gap, although I'm not quite sure about Japan.

I love a combination of strong/mature/sensitive/funny types. Someone incharge and controlled, the bigger the ego the better. I have never had a physical type. I've liked overweight, muscular, thin, dark hair, light hair. I have never been attracted to someone I haven't heard talk (maybe its Mars conjunction mercury) not sure.

Venus cancer. (Venus trine Saturn, Venus square Pluto)
Mars Leo (too many aspects to list LOL)
Pluto & saturn in 7th

I, as in me myself, I am saying that Asians are more materialistic than people from Western cultures.

You would find that there are more millionaires per capital in Hong Kong and Singapore than America as a whole (and HK used to be a country but no longer I guess). America certainly has far more wealth. Yes, abject poverty is widespread all across Asia and that is a huge problem.

I have traveled extensively and have lived in many countries around the world, and have experienced many cultures. Nobody culture is more materialistic than the overseas Asian-based Chinese (and that does not include those in North America or Europe).

I had been in China for a long time knew lots and gotta say, no, it is not more materialistic than America, I disagree. Not close. Yah, if one spends a lot of time in the clubs and high class malls, (not saying you do), one will find nearly all women there to be material oriented. I mean, my friend said the same as you but when we got to the bottom of it, he went to lots of clubs. DUHHHH! I said to him, of course you run into the money grubbing social climbers. Ugh.

And what I like is at least Asian women I have seen that ARE obsessed with money are way more up front about being all about the money, than American diggers.

But in general, not from what I have seen. But that is all subjective and should not be stated in an objective fashion by any of us. No, objectively speaking, there is no way to prove who is more materialistic.

Okay, I'm going to take myself off this back-and-forth conversation.

I am materialistic. My wife is materialistic. Let's be blunt. She wouldn't have married me if I had no money. She likes and demands nice things in life, and I supply her with those things, as long as I can afford them.

All the people in my life are materialistic, Asian, Caucasian or otherwise. My family, work, friends, etc. Even the church parking lot is half full of luxury automobiles, including the Minister's, and I'm not about to cast stones. In my circle, we all have brand preferences. If they weren't materialistic, I wouldn't be able to debate them brand names and it wouldn't be fun.

I like people who strive for success, and materialism is not entirely correlated to success but is nevertheless a symbol of achievement.

Let's ease up. I'm half joking, but I what I said applies to my life

A few things:

1) I like my boyfriends butt. It's firm but slightly squishy on the surface. GAHHH. I love it. He's really fit, too. I have Aries DC, and he has Virgo Rising. I looooove a man who takes care of his body. And when he comes home all sweaty... well, it's gross, but I also want to make out with him...

2) ASIA is a continent, people. I am Filipino, but I do not represent the whole CONTINENT. With that said, Filipinos are pretty materialistic. You would be, too, if you lived in complete poverty, and "happiness" is a smiling light-skinned Asian girl wearing designer clothing on a huge Billboard next to the 3rd largest shopping mall in Asia. Just saying...

You're not a credible businessman unless you arrive in at least a white S-Class Mercedes-Benz. In Asia, appearances matter, no matter how superficial they are. Hell (no pun intended), my dad's church pastor wears a gold Rolex.

YUP, except my virgo moon does not do guys who don't bathe, i just like them to look like they don't. My friends used to tell me that i only liked them if they looked homeless. I just don't like guys who put a lot of energy into their style or grooming, i like the outdoorsy look.

My ideal: i go for scruffy, medium-length or curly-ish dark hair, blue eyes, a nose ring, and a plaid flannel shirts...or a button up shirts with their sleeves rolled up. What can I say, I'm a child of the 90s!

Blue eyes are my kyrptonite, amost every single guy i've ever been attracted to has had them, i could probably count the others on my hand, blue eyes just do something to me...

I also have a weakness for Jewish men, there's a specific look i go for but it's hard to describe, sort of a mix between a scruffy drummer pothead with adam brody with a better body and fashion style and black rimmed glasses haha. There isn't really a celebrity that fits what i'm talking about but i know quite a few in real life. That said, Moses in The Prince of Egypt was a stud haha for a cartoon character i mean...

Daaaamn I actually know a guy who fits all of these things, drummer, pothead, nose ring, jewish, and he's even an aquarius but noooo he not only has a girlfriend but is obsessed with blondes. bah humbug.
