I'm Aquarius rising. I think somewhere said the body is short and stocky. This is true for me, but not for my brother and sister. Definitely not earth rising.IP: Logged |

The ascendant does have strengths. This goes by it's planetary ruler. Pisces is the strongest as Neptune takes the longest to cycle the zodiac, then Scorpio. So, someone with Pisces rising will have the strongest personality.IP: Logged |

No that's not what I meant. Technically, if you have inner planets in Leo then parts of you ARE Leonine. So it's not really 'converting' you so much as stating the truth. You're more than just your sun sign. IP: Logged |

Actually I read the opposite, that supposedly Aqua ascendants will be tall. Incidentally I'm an Aqua ascendant and I'm SHORT, but not stocky. IP: Logged |

cool never knew that! thanks! so in my case my planetary ruler (pluto)is on my asc and it is my 2nd strongest planet(pullen). that would be considered somewhat strong? i was thinking of it in terms like sun dominants and exaltations. aries/ leo would be the "strongest". aqua/libra would be the "weakest". but then it's not the sun.. I thought it took Pluto the longest because it takes Pluto 248 years to transit the zodiac. It takes Neptune 165 years. Pluto's the farthest away from the Sun, it has a wider orbit. Sidenote: all the planetary rulers are strong in relation to the Ascendant. Regardless of how long they take to transit a sign. Having Mars as a chart ruler is just as strong as having Uranus, Neptune or Pluto. Expression of the personality however would be different based on planetary rulers and on aspects and various other placements. IP: Logged |

I've been looking at physical traits in relation to the chart, when cross checked against the charts of lookalikes, and so far I've found these influences to play a sizable role, but have not narrowed down specifics as to a scale regarding importance:
-ASC, Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars signs
-Planets conj any of the above significators
-Planets conj an angle, and/or in strong aspect to the ASC
So if the overall theme regarding the above, is Aquarius, Venus, Scorpio, then they can look very similar to someone who has, for example, Venus conj Sun, Mars in Aquarius, Pluto on the MC.
Also a group of lookalikes can all share the same planets in aspect, for example Mars/Uranus, the exact aspect doesn't matter, just the fact that they are in aspect. And these people will all also have Mars/Aries and Aquarius/Uranus as standouts in their natals (maybe Uranus conj MC, and an Aries Venus, for example).IP: Logged |

According to my birth certificate.. I have an 0Aries Asc.. But the Aries never fit me... But it was hard to tell since Leo and Aries are similar... but my first reaction was never aries... Im actually introverted.. And in public I shut down and sit alone... Im not very comfortable around people I dont know.. I had my chart rectified to me.. I don't see you as an introvert. Shy, but not introverted. I very well could be wrong. Nevertheless, extroversion vs. introversion is not about people vs. no people. What it's really about is how you think. Not something that can be easily sorted out believe it or not. Simply put though, there is a general trend between needing people and not needing people for various things. For me, I love people, am very social, and love to talk to others. Yet though, I am naturally an introvert because I MUST spend a mass amount of time in my head to sort out my own judgements and ideas. I can also be alone for days at a time without noticing. I digress. ------------------
