Topic: Apparently you "look" like your ascendent?

Ok so I just saw a few threads where people are claiming to look like their ascendent, and then subsequently can appear like they have other influences in their chart? I'm curious. What's the general rules behind this? (and where can I find reading material on this)Also, do I fit the trend? I'm a libra rising. I have a heavy scorpio and pluto influence, and a hefty gemini element as well. Yes it is possible to 'look' like your rising sign,since it represents body.

LOL! I get told that I look like a viking quite often. The irony is my heritige has no link to vikings or even that region of europe (I'm 50% german, 25% dutch, and 25% scottish).Haha, almost literal night and day goes with complexion, but I can see a parallel look in the eyes. What are the rules that judge how ones body type should match their type? Do you sort of translate each sign into how they might look physically? Like, maybe leo having a more reddish apperience (i.e. red hair)? Or is it more complex then that. ------------------

I'm a Libra Ascendant as well, and I always thought the neat thing about our ascendant is that our faces are supposed to be symmetrical (which is what makes Libras look pretty anyway since mathematical proportion is responsible for classic beauty). Libra is about balance and pairs, so Libra believes every point should have another point to go with it.  IP: Logged |

It's very complex,because retricifaction (determinating one's rising when one hasn't got time of birth) is serious and hard business. IP: Logged |
