I've attracted/been attracted to a few Venus in Aquarius men, never got a sense that they were attracted to me primarily for my looks. They did not emphasize/compliment my features in any excessive way, if at all, the way most men tend to (esp the creepers). They approached me on a mental level, they were impressed with my intelligence (the bit that I do have, ha!), they appreciated my friendly nature towards them, my sense of humor, and my willingness to have fun/play around with ideas. If they were attracted to me, they always found me fascinating and interesting to talk to. If I presented a mystery, they wanted to get close to me to figure it out. They loved surprises, hearing outlandish tales. I have Uranus trine ASC, sq Sun, and it rules my DSC, so they may have been picking up on that. Oh, and I'm not conventionally attractive (meaning I would be out of place on modern TV shows, would never be on the cover of Playboy or FHM, etc., would never be thought of as a beauty or sex symbol). My eyes are too bright/watery, cheeks are too wide, jaw is small and funny in comparison, chin is squared off, long nose with a wide-ish bridge, etc.

I like women; of all sorts and shapes and looks..

The thing is, humans are all fascinatingly the same & yet all so so different.

That is my own venus in aquarius.

How a person looks is house 1. Partners looks is house 7 as it's the 1st house of the partners house. Aquarius on the 7th house (Leo rising) would show as liking odd/different looking partners.

This is correct. Grrr. I have Venus conjunct the Descendant in Leo, and I'm personally attracted to outgoing, Leo-esque individuals. But don't discount the Ascendant I'm incredibly attracted to Aquarians as an Aquarius rising.

In response to the OP. I don't think Venus placements are about appearance solely, I think they're about how you love and what you look for in relationships. I'd think someone with Venus in Aquarius would be drawn towards unconventional relationships with possibly unconventional people personality wise. The waterbearer would probably be most interested in someone's mind not necessarily their appearance, therefore they'd be open to dating all kinds of people regardless of what they looked like.

Speaking for myself as an Aquarius Rising opposite Venus in Leo, intelligence is the most valued attribute when it comes to any relationship. With Aquarius it's all about the mind.

My venus is in Gemini and I am attracted to odd looking men (I'm gay). Not all I am attracted to, but there are certain things about guys that turn me on WAY more then anything else. Mostly when certain things are out of proportion and to others would likely just been seen as weird.

i have dated many an aquarian, and am currently with one now. i consider myself a very attractive woman, but with the aquarian men they have rarely commented on my looks first, and take forever, really forever to make a romantic move. i have learned long ago that they care about the mind and the intellectual connection/conversations you have with them. i am a doctor and can run circles around a lot of men in terms of intelligence, and that is what aqua men are mainly drawn to, imo, a woman with a strong mind first and looks second. although with the looks they do prefer an 'edge' or something different from what i can tell; for example, i dress in a 20s/30s/vintage style with changes in hair almost daily, and they find that very appealing, in contrast to a woman who is more conservative and traditional.

I find that unfortunate that those men can't view you as an attractive woman.

I suppose I am different being a Capricorn Sun because I do value conservative and traditional, and I have no issue about not making quick moves.

My college girlfriend who I adored and still adore became a successful cardiac surgeon. Another college girlfriend (but the relationship didn't last too long) became a pediatrician. In fact, one of my classmates who I never dated is the pediatrician to my two sons. As a bachelor, I also dated a podiatrist.

Too much intelligence can be an issue as well lol I tried dating a woman who eventually got a law degree, an MBA and a PhD, and it didn't work out so well lol

I have no issue and insecurities with intelligence. I treasure it. But first and foremost for me is achievement. All the women who have been in my life have been gross over-achievers.

Never dated a Aquarius Venus man despite my moon in Aquarius. My Venus is in Gemini n Moon-Venus exact trine at 23degree n forms grand trine with Mars in libra.

Looks are not that important in my bf. They need to b special intellectually n they must think differently fr the norm. Always, it is that one sentence they said that captures my attention.. Which makes them stands out. It's my Aquarius moon working. Shld b similar to Venus in Aquarius

Also, for me, its not the intelligence as it is very subjective. Its the strength of conviction that the person has in his values system that he dares challenge anyone who taint that belief (Sometimes I say outrageous things to get a respond from guys so I can make see where their belief stands) or something that he believes in that I need to learn from - my venus in 9th house.

Hey YTA, yeah you do talk about your wife's beauty quite a bit. But there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's cool that she actually IS very beautiful, and not just part of your imagination! LOL

I've notice on astro boards, there's a tendency for some Venusian Ascendants to talk about their own looks like they are untouchable perfection. Then you see some of them post a pic of themselves and they look more average than anything lol. Just goes to show Venusian AC's got the beautiful, the average, and the ugly, just like any other ascendants. At least you are being truthful about your lady! She's very lovely! Congrats on your happy marriage.

I know this Venus in Aqua dude who liked this women who was very unattractive physically. Could it be because she stood out? Uranus rules broken structure, so maybe they like unsymmetrical faces.

Hi KarkaQueen

Unattractive? Not from what I've seen. The Aqua Venuses I know usually tend to like girls that dress differently among their group of friends. But the girl still has to be beautiful and smart.

If you know an Aqua Venus that likes ugly though, then good for him! Nothing wrong with that!

An old long-ago friend had Venus in Aquarius and he didn't so much like weird girls, or weird-looking girls (weird being subjective) as he was very eccentric about the way he handled his relationships and his philosophies were/are very "out there." Even if you're friends with a girl, you don't lock her in your truck to ask her out and preface the conversation with "What? I'm not going to rape you. That's not what I'm about." Or he'd keep my friend and his feelings for each other a secret, only hung out with late at night (and yes, literal hanging out - no hanky panky at all.) and refused to accept the answer "No" even after the 18th time of asking.

I think she was saying they were more intrigued by her mind first than her overall packaging she put effort into. I assumed they were already attracted to her 'cause guys are guys first, signs second.

Thank you very much for your very kind compliments.

If this were a forum/thread about swimming, and if my son were Michael Phelps, you would haer about his 14 Olympic Gold medals and 2 Bronze medals about a million times over, and I would photograph the uniqueness of each single medal and go over the event again and again and again and again.

My guy friend married a genuine Miss America winner. Another guy friend married a top Canadian actress and is living the good life on her multimillion dollar paycheck. I congratulate them everything I see them, but at least I don't go into a silly envy tiff.

I find no greater joy than revel in the accomplishments of my loved ones. If some are offended, then so be it, and its their problem and not mine. At least I haven't plastered her swimsuit/lingere photos.

As for my wife, I didn't marry her principally for the way she looks, but it was indeed one of the many factors (not in the top five).

She doesn't need my opinion or that of anyone else outside of her industry. It matters not even if I were to think she doesn't look pretty. I'm a nobody in her business.

Bella Models, Hachette Filipacchi Magazines, Ralph Lauren, Issac Mizrahi, Georges Marciano (Guess), Benetton, Macy's, Bloomingdales and Lord & Taylor are just a few organizations that have paid her a check/cheque for her appearances.

Now, obviously some would have a problem with me making the previous statement of fact, but again, tough crappola to them. Fact is fact. The truth will set everyone free.

I'm married to a Venus in Aquarius with Mars in Scorpio. I'm an attractive amature figure competitor and I look exotic. I'm also an intelligent woman. Our relationship is based on a deep meaningful friendship. I think he appreciates that I am intelligent, and free thinking. But I've seen his ex girlfriends and each one was beautiful. He is attracted to beautiful, striking women like Aishwarya Rai, Vida Guerra, who are fit and shapely like Ava Cowan, Trish Stratus, Amy Fadhli, etc.

Women who are thought of as beautiful like Rose McGowan, Natalie Portman, he thinks are plain.

Also, shallowness, conformity and stupidity are turn
offs for him

YoursTrulyAlways, I think its beautiful that you love your wife so much. Wish more people appreciated their spouses. I get tired of people complaining about their spouce. Its refreshing to hear others love of their partners.

Yeah man, that's how to live. It's a great thing to be happy for others' success as much as you are of your own.

Happy Holidays to you!

Oh sorry, Hannarammaa. I missed your post!I'm very guilty of that too. Mind and personality before beauty.

I have such a long list of things that I focus on before beauty. Intelligence, ethics, confidence, ambition and achievement are of prime importance to me.

If I can't get comfortable with a woman's intellect, moral values and outlook on life, all the beauty in the world would be meaningless to me.

Perhaps I'm a bit unusual for a man. I would love a woman who were to be even more successful than I am, or a woman who makes a bigger paycheck. Not only would I not be insecure, I would be overjoyed.

It's so interesting to me someone who's as successful as you are spends a lot of time on an astrological forum. I'd never look at top business man and give him the benefit of the doubt of having that kind of hobby - you know? I guess everyone has their surprises.

hannaramaa,

First of all, I only work for a living. Success is relative and I don't view myself as successful.

Second, I am tied to my technology. Therefore, I have an internet habit, as does my wife. She wouldn't have a problem with me visiting forums and chatting with ladies. She, however, would have an immense problem with me learning astrology. I can't help that.

Other than that, from my wife's perspective, it sure beats me hanging out with the guys at some bar or strip club, or be at some hockey/basketball game or boxing match all night long. Or watching football or baseball on TV (its her largest pet peeve with men).
