We believe that we're really fortunate to live here, definitely. Try watching some David Lynch, you might recognize it when you see it. (Hint, hint...) But we're considering moving, due to the cost of living and the cost of sanity with my husband's job. To a far less lovely place most likely, as he's got a job offer somewhere else with less stress. But we love living in the mountains. It might be time to move to the desert, for better or worse... Eh... IP: Logged |

PsI still want this thread revived! I just haven't got around to making a second video yet. Maybe it will encourage people to post (or not). I always take mine down anyway. IP: Logged |

You should move some place where you can landscape, since you enjoy that Landscaping you can do pretty much anywhere. IP: Logged |

Ughh...I think we may be moving to the suburbs (good lord I do not like the suburbs) of a major city, where most people either have apartments or a yard with a cactus in it. But...we like to go with the flow. I'll miss working outside really badly, but I'm sure there will be other neat things to find around there. Weekend trips to ancient ruins, abandoned gold mines, or whatever. We hope it will be a fun adventure and a much needed break from the stress. But we're not selling our home. We might want to come back in a couple of years. <Edit> On the positive side, you're probably right. Even an apartment balcony can be spiffed up a little bit. I'm actually unexpectedly excited for the change of pace and even scenery. IP: Logged |

I'm not into the southwestern look but I absolutely am head-over-heels in love with New Mexico!! It's sooooo beautiful!!! God I love it. It's the most beautiful state I have ever been to! If you are moving there, I envy you, lol, especially Albuquerque or Santa Fe. I love northern NM it's the best state around here imo as far as natural scenery goes. It's sorta desert-like. It has all these cool rock formations and mountains all over the place. A flat desert is kinda boring. I understand if this is too much info so you don't have to answer with too many specifics if you feel uncomfortable. I just can't help talking about how much I love NM!!! To me it's like a totally different planet, like going to the moon only much, much more comfortable. I could write endless travel brochures about how cool it is!IP: Logged |

We lived in Colorado when I was a kid for a while, so we got to see a few places in New Mexico. I like it there, too. It looks a lot like where I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, actually. Hard to believe, but some of those states have some very dry desert areas. Nah, we'll be going a little further East, into massive suburban sprawl territory, but I am just going to embrace it and be thankful that we're getting a break. I think this is the type of thing that Uranus/Pluto/Saturn oppositions and squares forces people to do, ya know? Like it just seems like the best option, although we love the area we live in. It just costs a lot of sanity to afford living here. At any rate, some of the awesomeness of the Southwest is crazy. The ruins, the mountain areas, and it's really beautiful. It will probably be nice to have cause to have an apartment with a swimming pool, hahahha. We don't have much need of those here. Feel free to show me some of your favorite places there, if you want to share, SSS. It will give us cool ideas for places we might want to visit while we're down there! IP: Logged |

Thank you, Violets, I was worried I had gotten too personal. I went through New Mexico last year and just adore it.

My post disappeared! O_oRAS I knew a Cancer Sun / Leo Moon as well as anyone could. I'm not sure what her rising was but I do like the Libra Rising. It really softens things up and adds beauty. I definitely see Leo there, no doubt. It's a good combo to have I think. IP: Logged |

RAS, I definitely see the Cancer and Libra! Yes, you do have the soft appearance of both Cancer and Libra. I think that our Moons often show more in our eyes, maybe? I'm not always sure how to spot someone's Moon placement. Wonderful pictures! IP: Logged |

Oh, nah. I try to give hints about my general whereabouts, but I only get specific on occasion. No worries. I plan to visit a few places in Colorado that I went to when I was young (Garden of the Gods, and the ancient ruins around there), but that's also a ways from where we'll be. RAS, thank you for posting! Libra ACs always have such sweet smiles. IP: Logged |

I've never heard of Garden of the Gods. It sounds neat. I want to visit Carson National Forest (in New Mexico) but camping, argh. I am kinda tired of camping. I found this:
I like canyons. My fave is the Grand Canyon. If you ever get a chance, check it out, if you haven't already. It's expensive to get in though. IP: Logged |

We went to the Grand Canyon when I was in about 5th grade, when we moved back from Colorado. AMAZING. We plan to go there again. I was such a nerd when I was a kid that I insisted we go visit the Four Corners, where four states all meet up, hahha. My mom had no idea what I was talking about. Garden of the Gods is pretty cool, too if you get back out that way. I couldn't see your picture, though. :/ Here's one of Garden of the Gods Here is one that is near where we're probably going to be moving to (we'll find out for sure tomorrow). I've been there, and it's so beautiful. I have a suspicion we'll be going there a lot in our spare time. <Edit> Is it me, or does the cactus look like it's flipping us off...? IP: Logged |
