unaspected Neptune will need to deal with the next dimension. The next dimension is that of creativity, daydreaming, drugs and spirituality. When one leaves this realm, even for a moment, as in daydreaming, one has entered the next dimension. The unaspected Neptune must go in to the next dimension and come out with his feet on the ground. Then, he will be worthy of offering succor to others.

I really don't think it's possible to have an unaspected Neptune OR Pluto as the are simply *generational* planets and anyone born after 1940 will have the pluto sextile neptune aspect in their charts...

they may well *swing* from periods of intense communications, written, oral and then not wanting to communicate at all and withdrawing. It doesn't SEEM to have any *anchor* point. Same with ALL unaspected....

I certainly wouldn't use the words as *beautiful* when describing an unaspected. It has difficulties with moderation, it swings from expressions, always trying ton find the middle ground..

The quicunx is an aspect, arguably a significant one. There are books on this aspect. I'm just not sure whether the effects would be strong with a 4-degree orb. But considering Jupiter is expansive in nature and the Sun can be allotted up to a 10-degree orb, my Jupiter probably IS aspected after all. Hopefully someone with an unaspected one will pipe up to shed some personal touch on your study. [/B][/QUOTE]

you are correct, max orb for quincunx is 3' and orb for luninaries are max 10;

iv read somewhere minors don't count. i dunno. i have a venus semi sextile to my uranus.

That's correct is has to be a 'major' aspect and semi sextile is a minor aspect..

Ami Ann, unaspected Moon is VERY rare, i have seen one or two and it begs the question, what kind of relationship do they have with mother?

You should always look for clues at the house cusp ruler to make a further connection.

Sand, as your uranus is retro it will have further problems in expressions and it's ruler Jupiter in cappi is retro, you may find it bit had to get at. So the energy (if any) would be internalised. Do you have being different?? Uranus in Saggi is a generation of wanting to shock the legal sysems, philosophies, the law, religions etc.

Uranus in 2nd House - succeedent house
Could have unsettled finances. Impulsive with money. You may have unusual talents and methods of earning money. Could make money through scientific (laboratories) and electronic (computers etc) related inventions. Great desire to be financially independent. May take sabbatical if financially secure. Sudden and unforseen circumstances where finances and income are concerned, can cause mental trauma due to having to change their personal beliefs, values. Ups and downs in money conditions. Not a fixed reliable income.
Great desire for independence so do well in their own business. Not good for speculation if afflicted. Inventive where business ideas are concerned.

So although the above is generic, do you identify with any of them Sand?

His moon squared his ASC, too, but this does not count toward an unaspected planet as the ASC is a point in space, not a planetary body. However, if you look at Micheal, I think you would see an example of sensitivity too raw for this world. He was a wonderful friend to others, it is reported. He gave a lot to others, particularly children .This moon feels the pain of others to an extreme degree. The unaspected moon does not have a choice in how he is. I suppose the best antidote would be to know what one has. That way,one would not blame oneself, but take measures to keep oneself in as gentle an environment as possible.

I don't think it's appropriate to lump together *almost unaspected* and unaspected.
In Michael jackson's case a moon square saturn may have self esteem issues and cautious emotional nature.

I don't see Michael J as too sensitive for this world. I do think he had addiction problems though..

The Unaspected Moon may be one of the hardest unaspected planets. Pasteur was thought to have one. The moon is our deepest heart. It rules the mother, and, also our connections to others. We bond with our moon. The unaspected person is very raw in his sensitivity. This is a hallmark . One can understand the unaspected moon if one thinks of exquisite sensitivity such that the world simply hurts. This native cannot hurt others. He feels another’s pain,as if it is his own. His tremendous empathy is a hallmark. He makes an exceptional friend, but he suffers greatly, as he is almost like a sunburned soul. You know how much a sunburn hurts, as the skin is not tough enough. This describes the life of an unaspected moon. He may achieve. He may be in the limelight. However, it is always a little too strong for him, as he is a creature made for a gentler world. I don’t know if Micheal Jackson had an unaspected moon, but he has that quality as too sensitive a soul for the harsh demands of the world.

Hi Ami!
As you know, I have an unaspected moon (it's conjunct Chiron). I didn't recognize myself in your description at first. But I was talking to my ex husband (he is a narcissist) and I commented that we get along so well because he is who he is and I am a mega empath. Sooo... you may be right. But in my case, the moon is so buried in the 8th house that I'm having trouble seeing it. It's like there's an on and off switch to my emotions and it's mostly turned to "off" lol.

As for not being able to hurt anyone, Pluto usually gets the best of me. Again, the moon qualities are so repressed that it doesn't play a role in the decision making.
So even if the description is accurate, it may be that the person who posesses an unaspected moon does not have an accurate vision about it.

My moon is in Taurus, in the 8th house. Ruler of the 8th is Venus in Aries in the 7th, conjunct Sun and Mars.

Very weird, scorpionic relationship with mother. I do see her as isolated, almost cut off from reality and society. There is a lot of compassion from my part (moon conjunct Chiron), but we don't quite get along. She doesn't have one maternal bone in her body (Aqua with Aqua moon, Gemini asc), but is a good friend and shined as a mother during my adolescent years.

Awesome Adrian---- Thank you

Yes Maira I have just started to unbury my unaspected Venus. The moon is the hardest unaspected planet, by far, in my opinion. It could well be buried. I would love to talk about it, if you ever want to. It could be, in private, too.

yes, a tough place 8th but conj chiron is very difficult to.

“You instinctively understand the mind/body connection and the role of emotions in illness and healing. You are challenged to heal yourself of a deep, emotional wound, possibly based in the experience of maternal rejection. Your healing process is supported by those close to you, and becomes a journey of spiritual awakening. You will gain much understanding and find keys that you can share with others. Avoid giving your power away to medical practitioners. Your healing must come from within.” http://members.wizzards.net/~magyan/Moon_Aspects.html

“Chiron - Moon: In the natal chart, a positive aspect can indicate a person who is extremely sensitive, empathic and mystical. "Boundary problems" are a big-time problem here, regardless of the supportive or challenging aspects. The degree to which this is a problem will be indicated by the aspects. Anyone with a Chiron-Moon placement should learn grounding principles and psychic protection. There can be indications of rejection by the mother if the aspects are challenging.” http://www.aquarianage.org/west/planets/ch-nat02.html

Characteristics of Unaspected Planets

"If we have an unaspected planet in the horoscope, it is very likely that we aren't really very aware of all the things we do with it and how strongly we bring this planet to expression in daily life. An unaspected planet manifests itself unmistakably though! However, just to clear up a couple of misconceptions right off the bat: an unaspected planet is not weak, not insignificant, and not bad. On the contrary, many people who have achieved extraordinary things turn out to have had help in doing so from an unaspected planet in the horoscope. With unaspected planets, the question is not, therefore, whether we can achieve anything with them, because we definitely can. Instead, the question is how we go about it and how that feels inside."

Insecurity and the Unaspected Planet

Another hallmark of unaspected planets is that they are often accompanied by feelings of insecurity. This insecurity is connected to a number of things. In the first place, the idea of "being in search of," that often expresses itself in a kind of restless feeling, I sometimes try to describe as a feeling of "hunger," or "yearning," or "being unfulfilled" in the area of that planet. A longing, too, but for what we don't know. It can't be described; it is diffuse and vague, and we can't really make anybody see what it's all about. Even if we have everything our hearts desire, this feeling can still be there. So it has absolutely nothing to do with external circumstances or with whatever we've achieved in life.

An unaspected Moon, for instance, can have a deep longing for security and a profound need for warmth, and even run the risk of not seeing the warmth that is there (but this is not on purpose!) because of a gnawing feeling that overrides it.

Or, to give an example of Venus: A couple of years ago a couple consulted me and asked for an astrological analysis of their relationship. They had been married almost thirty years, but the woman was in a kind of crisis. She didn't know if she loved her husband, or if she had ever loved him, and claimed she didn't really know what love actually was. Her husband didn't take this personally. His commentary was simple and honest, "We've gotten along very well together all these years, and I just know she loves me, and I love her. So something else must be going on, and that's why we're here." His wife, however, had gotten hold of the nagging thought that she didn't know what love was, and therefore also didn't know if she loved her husband.

Her Venus created no aspects whatsoever! After I had explained what an unaspected planet meant in general, and how an unaspected Venus works in particular, something finally clicked in her. She understood that the unfulfilled and searching feeling was inside herself and had nothing to do with her marriage. "If I look back at it that way," she said, "then we have in fact gotten along very well together all these years, and I wouldn't want to be without my husband." There was a moment of silence, and then she said, "Maybe that's what love is. Maybe I shouldn't be getting myself so worked up about it anymore, and accept that I can't catch or grasp it all." This is a nice example of how, with an unaspected planet, we can run the risk of misjudging a situation because with all that "searching" we begin to mull and fret. Just as often, though, all that searching has yet another result, namely the idea that we "aren't there yet," or can't do certain things. In the case of the unaspected Venus, this can express itself in a feeling that others don't think we're nice, or that we weren't cut out for love, or that we feel inferior because of our looks and/or emotions. In every instance this feeling does not corroborate the real situation or talents and capabilities. Once again though, the fact is that we don't see it at first. And even with an unaspected Venus, we can be very sweet, mediate very well, and have a finely tuned sense of harmony! Hidden in an unaspected planet like this is a http://innerself.com/content/self-help/personal-growth/astrology/planets/3854-unaspected-planets.html

ASTROLOGY
Unaspected Planets
When a planet makes an aspect with another planet, their combined energies blend and are forced to work together. A planet that does not form any of the major seven aspects is said to be unaspected and it operates on its own pure energy. The abundance of the natural energy of an unaspected planet often dominates the birth chart. It is quite common for a planet to form only one weak or minor aspect like a quincunx or semi-sextile and therefore it can be taken as unaspected. Unaspected planets are nearly always overtly expressed in a person's nature and they often dominate his chart. When unaspected planets occur ina birthchart, they should be observed closely as they have the capacity of changing the entire pysche of the individual.

Unaspected Sun- The effect of Sun being unaspected in ones birthchart would be either good or the native might turn out to be egocentric and selfish. Most of the people with this configuration turn out to be successful or famous. King Louis X1V of France and Vincent Van Gogh possessed an unaspected Sun.

Unaspected Moon- People with an unaspected Moon, men in particular have feminine qualities and relate well with women. Usually it is diffiuclt to control the abundant energy of Moon but these people can be managed well and they develop a kind nature. Louis Pasteur had an unaspected Moon in his birth chart.

Unaspected Mercury- Those with an unaspected Mercury tend to be likeable, intelligent and adaptable. But they flirt from one thing to another. They also exhibit lots of confidence , humor and are sociable. The subjects are usually highly popular like Mahatma Gandhi who had an unaspected Mercury.

Unaspected Venus- Venus unaspected in a chart is very rare and those who have it are very passive, peaceful and lazy ones. Very few of them become famous or successful. Such people are loving and giving and often well-loved and pampered in childhood. But they should take care that the materialistic side of Venus does not preceed the love element of Venus.

Unaspected Mars- The raw energy of Mars when unaspected is capable of both physcial acheivement and destruction. The unaspected Mars produces great athletic ability and deeds of bravery. War heroes and high ranking military officers have an unaspected Mars in their charts. Lord Baden Powell, the founder of Boy Scout Movement had an unaspected Mars.

Unaspected Jupiter- Only a few have an unaspected Jupiter in their chart. They are lucky and have optimism and good fortune.Such natives shine no matter what the rest of the chart tells. The subjects usually have a good sense of humor and lots of self-confidence. They are likeable by all and find luck and fortune in what others think as misfortune. Famed Singer Janis Joplin had an unaspected Jupiter in Cancer.

Unaspected Saturn- The positive qualities of seriousness, conformity, practicality and responsibility are projected in the character of an individual who possesses an unaspected Saturn. Though they may not be overly charming or popular, they are usually well-trusted and respected.

Unaspected Uranus- It is very rare to spot an unaspected Uranus in birthcharts. But its weak aspects cannot be taken for personal levels. Unaspected Uranus does not seem to engender the same dynamic, rebellious or eccentric qualities which are often apparent when aspects do occur. Unaspected Uranus is quietly unique and independent. It is less excitable and more stable than an aspected one.

Unaspected Neptune- This enables the subject to consolidate talents and intuitive abilities while leading a constructive life.Unaspected Neptune does not have to face the challenges of difficult aspects and is therefore allowed more freedom to utilize imagination and inspiration.

Unaspected Pluto- Those who have this uncommon placement are intense, well-balanced people who lack the usual Plutonian need to exert power over others. They are magnetic and forceful without overbearing. Powerful people are born with dominant Pluto and great is its presence in their lives that they are remembered even centuries after their death. Unapsected Pluto possesses the remarkable capacity for fame or infamy. Queen Elizabeth II, Pop star Madoona and German Composer Beethoven have a dominant Pluto in their birthcharts. http://astrology.findyourfate.com/astrology-unaspectedplanets.htm

I was not sure if I could count those orbs or not, but for the most part I relate to a lot of what has been written about unaspected Mercury.
