Same goes for neptune south node at 11.11 degrees of aquarius.. One thing that i would encourage you to look into are the fixed stars. But again, there are sooo many and the degree has to be to the minute. Two degrees right next to each other can have very different influences. I will post a link in a bit. But i wouldn't worry too much, my ASC is at 0 degrees leo
actually there are, but would only recommended researching for FUN, and not taking them seriously Thus: of Virgo 11°....An astrological degree, and of Leo 25°....Alcoholic (25°-26°); then of Leo 27° ....astrology (25°-29°). And of Aquarius 22°: Astrological area (22°-28°). Alan Leo had his ascendant at 27 Leo as well and mentioned it specifically as a factor. I would say that anything within a 2° orb of any point has to be significant, at least from what I've read on the subject. http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10112 http://chirotic.wordpress.com/2008/06/16/the-astrologers-degrees-a-study-of-the-evidence/ Alcoholic Thread http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum...ghlight=carter http://www.astroresources.com/alcohol.html asteroids Dionysus (3671) and Bacchus (2063) http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?p=210985&posted=1#post210985 http://www.astrodatabank.com/AS/ASAs...strologers.htm The murderer degree - 18-19 Aries/Libra I have to say, some of these degrees are fascinating for me: Mercury 6° Scorpio: Occultist. Moon 15° Scorpio: The Center of Regeneration, The eagle point. Neptune 22° Scorpio: Refinement, morality, good health, universally respected. Thank goodness I missed out on these: 27° Aries: Hair. (Hair?) 6° Taurus: Degree of many enemies. 7° Gemini: Degree of cantankerous irritability. (I must have something here!) 19° Cancer: Sudden fame followed by disgrace and imprisonment. 0° Leo: Homicide. 10° Virgo: Fear of poisoning. 28° Libra: Hospitality, hair. (Hair?) 25° Scorpio: Dumbness, alcoholic. 21° Sag: Perverted tastes. 27° Capricorn: Hair. (Hair?) 0° Aquarius: Danger from reptiles. 2° Pisces: The death penalty (if afflicted). http://www.angelfire.com/empire/serp...6/Degrees.html Another list of degrees, meanings http://www.astrologycom.com/fixedstars.html I'm sure if you look long and hard enough you could find an interpretation for every degree. But hey of course Sabian Symbols already do this... http://www.angelfire.com/empire/serpentis666/Degrees.html

I use Equal House system (where each cusp is same as Ascendant) and am a modern astrologer. Lots of newcomers come into Astrology/forums and get a free chart from astro and the default ‘house system’ used is Placidus and think that’s just the norm and all there is……..BUT that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can change the default on astro.com in Extended Chart selection to Equal house and a few others if you wish to experiment….. Within the mainstream are placidus/equal houses (the default on astro is placidus) only difference being some planets may move from one house to another thereby altering it's interpretation and it's 'only' with research will you find which /planets 'fit you' in which houses. So my advice, do two charts, research any planets that move houses and see which you identity with - simple Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAwGtMWl4z4

Well, I might get killed for that 0 degrees Leo Saturn sign but at least until then, I can enjoy Rigel conjunct my Mars: quote: RIGEL - [16 Degrees of Gemini] Lasting riches, honors and preferment. Good for military careers. Ambitious and hard working. Good mechanical ability. Teaching ability, somewhat conventional. Great military or ecclesiastical preferment if conjunct the midheaven. These people can stay on top, as long as effort is maintained.

Critical Degrees and 29 Degrees in AstrologyClassic critical degrees are 0, 13, and 26 degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn); 8-9 and 21-22 degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius); and 4 and 17 degrees of mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces). These are considered sensitive, and sometimes strengthening, points. If a natal planet is found in a critical degree, that planet is emphasized and assumes more power in the life of the native due to its placement. Many astrologers consider 0 and 29 degrees of any sign critical degrees as well. The 0 and 29 degrees are more crisis-oriented points, especially in predictive work. http://cafeastrology.com/criticaldegrees.html
