I'm pretty goofy and sarcastic, in fact most of the time on this site I'm being sarcastic. I would say having Gemini in the chart with some Jupiter/ Sag influences makes for a sense of humor. But I know plenty of people that don't have these placements and are still funny and sarcastic.

In my case I have Leo Sun conjunct Mercury, Jupiter in Gemini and Sagittarius ASC.

I'm a pretty humorless person. I find most "funny" things not funny. Yet, I have mercury and jupiter in gemini, both conjunct venus.

I can not stand 99% of all stand up comedians. I find them to be very crude and it is not my sense of humor at all.

My sense of humor is just overall very bizzare. I'll laugh at a plate of spagetti exploding in the microwave.

I also detest sarcasam, and I usually become very irratated when others use it.

There's lots of people out there when looking for people to date that say "I have to have someone who has a great sense of humor!", or they say that they themselves have a great sense of humor. I feel like one of the only ones out there that find it to be a strong turn-off when someone is a constant jokester. I'd very much like someone who doesn't have a big sense of humor.

It could be genetics too. My entire family is very cynical and sarcastic, so obviously I picked that up.

Everything is controlled by genetics .

I share my sense of humor more closely with my moms side of the family. Not sarcastic at all and humor is not a big deal at all for us. It's also very clean and friendly to all when we do joke around. Definitely G-rated.

My dads side of the family is much more crude and I do not share that sense of humor at all. It also can get rather judgemental, racist, sexist, etc. which I will call them out on if it gets bad enough.

I'll go with Jupiter in general as well.
Cancer as a sign I've found to be v.funny because they're OK with coming across as off the wall. Maybe that's the reason that Aquarians like them lol. I like their humor too, just in case anyone thought I was making fun. One of the funniest people I've known has Cancer Sun & Moon.

I'm not sure. My own chart - I have no clue. I was trained to do stand up. My sense of humor can be described as dark humored sarcasm. It could be my 8th house cappy mars.

From what I've noticed, the sign Jupiter is in is what we laugh at, and Moon/Mercury is the type of humor we exhibit.

I have Jupiter in Leo and find that Leos don't even have to try to make me laugh. I laugh AT them, whether it's the look on their face or the way they say something when they're being dead serious. Innocence and drama, the eternal teenager. And when they're actually trying to be funny, I'm doubled over. The other two fire signs usually make me laugh easily too but only when they're actually trying to create a funny moment.

Someone at one of the Tribe.com boards mentioned that Moon in Aquarius cracks jokes or laughs at socially inappropriate times, such as funerals. I have Moon in Aqua and I laughed at the way some people were dressed at the last funeral I attended. Black isn't a popular color in the typical Los Angeleno's wardrobe, so basically, many of the younger attendees desperately plowed through their closets looking for something, anything, in black...they looked ridiculous, especially the miniskirts with the knee-high black boots. And the dark black/blue sequined pants some guy tried to pass off as black.

I have a pretty good sense of humor.

My ASC is also sextiling Uranus..I guess if that also relates to sense of humor, I would say I have a quite..weird and different sense of humor then :P

Cool I didn't know this, it's accurate though! Jupiter in Aries here. This Aries acquaintance was playing poker and he couldn't bluff even if his life would depend on it and if the other player is, according to him, waiting too long to make a move, you'd see him staring at the slow guy with alot of eye white (or eye red lol), his face slowly turning red, bulging veins showing on his forehead and neck until frustration becomes too much and he growls: "Just get on with it!". It's hilarious and cartoonish to see.

This works for me. My Jupiter is in Aqua, so anything a little out there and weird cracks me up. I have Virgo Moon in mutual reception with Cancer Mercury, so I exhibit a dry lunar humor. Sarcasm, dead-pan and goofiness.

I find sarcasm funny. Not a LOL type of funny but a little chuckle to myself type of funny. Strange things, unexpected jokes that hit you out of nowhere, crude and border-lining on offensive, sexist, and jokes that are awkward and NOT REALLY FUNNY, I would probably find funny. Stuff that people don't want to laugh at, makes me want to laugh. Things I probably shouldn't laugh at because it's inappropriate, I would laugh at. I also find people who have a dry sense of humor hilarious.

For example of something I shouldn't laugh at: At my grandmother's funeral, when it was almost over and time for people to get up to sing, there was this one guy, who stood out. He sung so, so passionately (and badly I might add), with all his facial expressions of agony..

But no one in my family knew who he was.

Now that made me wanna laugh, which in turn made my brothers and girlfriends laugh once they caught hold of my watery eyes from trying to hold it all together. I had to duck my head down afterwards.

My Mercury conjuncts Saturn, Sun, and Venus, and trines Moon.

My Jupiter trines AC & Chiron, sextiles Sun & Uranus, and squares Pluto.

I'm probably the dullest person I know.

I really like it when people are funny, but at times they overdose it and start acting completely delirious, to the point where you're like "Dude, it's not funny anymore!"

I can laugh at the weirdest/smallest things, too.

Mercury has no aspects except a conjunction to the Sun; Jupiter in Libra conjuncts Venus (not sure if that's relevant at all).

I love absurdist humor. Things that you just do not see coming, or that just look absolutely ridiculous, coupled with witty dialogue ala Monty Python, Conan O'brien, This is spinal tap, etc.

It has to be done in a very specific way, because, for example, The Hangover had a lot of outrageous, unexpected moments but it never once made me laugh. I think it's my aqua rising making it hard for me to be "shocked", so anytime I truly don't see something coming, it just kills me. I'm also mercury in cancer opposite uranus, and my jupiter in leo conjuncts my venus/mars. Does that determine anything?
Often times, I can never pinpoint what it is exactly that made me laugh. I don't know how to embed youtube videos, but here are a few examples of things that crack me up.

I have moon in Pisces and Mercury and Jupiter in Aqua. Most things make me laugh, I don't really like subtle, awkward or very British humour though. I like absurdist (more American) humour.

40-Year-Old Virgin had me in tears. Chris Rock has me in stitches. Sarcastic humour (as long as it's over-the-top and not delivered in a deadpan way) usually kills me, too. My boyfriend has moon in Saggy, Mercury in Cappy and Jupiter in Scorpio and nobody has ever made me laugh like he has.

This type of stuff cracks me up for whatever reason: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrYRH3PYYT0, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uU6U-8LP1DY, stuff that takes real life and makes fun of it basically.

From past experience, Its proven that I can make just about anyone adore me. Whether that be for my sharp humor or charming Libra ways, I'm not quite sure. (I can also make anyone hate me with it.)
Although its proven that the person to give a hearty chuckle will live longer, I try to avoid humor and use it only when necessary, like to ease an awkward situation or to lighten the mood.
I'm not funny, that title brings much too expectancy. I'm just me, whatever that flavor currently is. My mindset changes often with my mercury, plus my ascendant IS gemini, I'm presuming so does my humor.

My moon is in Sagittarius in the 7th squared to saturn in pisces in the 10th. Making it even more cutting edge!

My mercury also squares uranus AND neptune which makes me mentally, well.. pretty far out. And offbeat, and unusual in the most pecular ways.

Mercury in Taurus and Moon in Scorpio.

My humour is usually thoroughly thought out, edited, and ready for 'publishing'. I write a script inside my head before 'delivering' a line, and never joke spontaneously.

It's not that I'm afraid of embarrassing myself; I've never been shy or easily flustered. It's that I want complete control over the situation.

Sense of humor has a lot to do with intelligence, perception, imagination, values... So it's a complicated pic in the charts.
