It's usually the case of "opposites attract". Theres definitely a huge difference in how both people are personality wise. I rather take the opposition/square in composite Sun/Moon aspects than the trines/sextiles personally. Theres a lot of fascination of each other, but at the same time the things that drew you in can pull you apart, and cause a lot of arguments.IP: Logged |

I had this with someone. Ugh. Don't like it. Its like we were from 2 different planets emotionally. So didn't get each other. When it came to emotions it was like we were polar opposites. Aaand our differences pulled us apart. The end.IP: Logged |

I also have this aspect with my boyfriend. We are definitely different people but it seems to be working. Uranus is also conjunct the Moon so our relationship overall is not very typical. He gives me a lot of freedom and that is why I love him and that is the key to our relationship - freedom. IP: Logged |

This is really interesting: http://www.astrosoftware.com/Symmetries.htm " The conjunction or opposition in the composite chart occurs only if the angle of his Sun to her Moon is the same as the angle of her Moon to his Sun. Also the Sun-Moon angle in his chart is the same as the Sun-Moon angle in her chart, but in the opposite phase. For example: if the angle of his Sun to her Moon is 40 degrees, then the angle of her Sun to his Moon is also 40 degrees. Aso, if his Sun-Moon angle is a waxing sextile, her Sun-Moon angle is a waning sextile. When a Composite Chart Alignment occurs, the angle of his Sun to her Moon is the same as the angle from her Sun to his Moon. This is a powerful synastry effect, i.e. these are angles between the charts and describe bonding and energy flow between the people. Having the Sun-Moon angle the same in both charts creates powerful similarity between the people." So, this article seems to suggest that the two people are actually very similar in a way. I have this with a guy I've been seeing for a long time. My Sag Sun trines my Aries Moon, and his Aqua Sun trines his Libra Moon. This places our composite Sun in Capricorn, opposite our composite Moon in Cancer. We are very similar in terms of personality (he says this all the time), but we come from completely different worlds, so the instability is always felt. IP: Logged |

I have this aspect with a guy. Our sun in 8th oppo. moon/mercury/jupiter conj. in 2th.Communications are good and fun(both talkative). I feel/understand his thoughts even something he doesn't speak out. we have something similar(he said so), some common personalities. But! the way he chooses to do will never be mine. There is always something left unmet.Even clearly knowing each other's needs, we'd still stay our own way. Like: Yes, I know you, know what you want or gonna do, but you are you and me still be me. For personal issues(not related to each other), it's wonderful as he offers pretty different perspective for me, knock me heavily, stimulate my mind. Usually, I would make up in another way since the moon/mercury/jupiter conj. ask me to do so. I might insist my way now, but give way to him next. We don't really fight anyway.

Starfairy - Yes ... I believe that sun opposite moon is very powerful in composite as there is a mirrored harmonic resonance between the major indicators of yin (sun) and yang (moon), as you described above. It is like the partner reveals that which is latent in your psyche and vice versa. For example - if you are predominantly yin, it may be that your feminine side is consciously expressed, but you still contain a "latent" male side in the little dot , and vice versa. With a composite sun/moon opposition, you each "own" one side and your partner holds up a mirror to you to reveal that which lies dormant ... but not everyone likes what they see there! IP: Logged |

RAS, I thought you said the composite moon could be both the sign they give you and its opposite? So I thought there is no such thing as a solid sun opposite moon...since the moon can switch over and be conjunct the sun. IP: Logged |

There isn't much out there in GoogleWorld on this topic. I find the info in this thread about the angles of each person's sun to the others moon to be interesting. To me it just seems to fill things out or balance things out. Having Sun in Cancer and Moon in Capricorn seems to be a nice balance of steady emotions opposing a more emotionally themed Sun (which is also in the 8th). IP: Logged |
