Whose chart was that? It is a bit small for me but there are many 12 House planets which are the single biggest challenge in a chart. That person has a very challenging chart. I have written many articles on 12th House planets I can share with you, later.For now, let me tell you some general things about you and your son

What house is your Chiron in?

You are a social person who is popular in whatever group in which you find yourself. You are prolly very attractive and gracious in how you carry yourself. You do not like coarse actions and prolly have very good manners.

Whatever exists on the outside, you are a VERY sensitive person who feels very deeply. You pick up so many vibes from the outside that it may seem like too much, at times.

You can go after what you want. You may struggle with nurturing others. You may find the whole "female domestic energy" hard.However, you think about these things, a lot. Your goals are to be more adventurous.

What House is his Chiron, Pluto and Uranus in?

He is a sweet natured person. He may appear picky and is picky to a certain degree but he is very, very sweet and very sensitive.

I can see some hard areas but one would need to look at the aspects, house placements etc to see the problems you mentioned although everything shows in the charts of a good Astrologer.

He has a very sensitive moon. This person will always feel things the most deeply of any moon placement. You can always know that, no matter what other placements(where the planets are) or factors are in the chart. This is a very sensitive person who feels everything and picks up everything.

His Venus mirrors this as little things matter to him such as tastes and smells. He may be a picky person not to be annoying. He is just made this way. If he doesn't like a food or a spice etc, he can't help that little things get to him

He can go after what he wants though, as you can. He needs to learn to be lighter, more social in a chatty, cocktail party type of way. He may not do well where light banter is called for. He needs to develop his ability to nurture as one of his life goals.

Pluto conj Chiron in the 4th may show a hard childhood with a lot of tidal wave kinds of ups and downs. Chiron here may been a rift with one of the parents,

Low water would add to hardship in connecting with others. I can see some of the struggles you mentioned.

I think you should really try to study Astrology as you will get a peace that only an understanding of the charts can bring, in my personal experience.

The Sun and Merc in the 12th can make the person afraid to shine forth who he is. He may pull back with insecurity to shine forth.

Mars here may make expression of drives hard. I mean drives such as anger and assertion. The person can hold things in and then explode, later, or just stuff things.

Hence, here's a chunk of my chart:
( from looking at my natal chart, I notice that most of the outer planets are in retrograde, while the inner planets remain in direct. Does this mean I am not strongly affected by my inner planets, or does it imply some sort of imbalance in energy...please explain...)

Thank you also for the information on the 12th house planets. I didn't realize that had any importance. My daughter has the moon, saturn, n. node in the 12th, and I have pluto in the 12th. I think I have a good amount to get me started.
